Wow, looks impressive! Visual and particle effects are very beautiful. Everything in gameplay smooth and pleasant. Also cool part of a game is a procedural level generation.

It's really amazing but I feel like you need to add a little bit more of an action. That's just what I think. For the theme, It fits very well, and I feel like it'd be more fun to play it with someone.  Other than that, this game feels very smooth and visually beautiful. Nice work!

I really dig the art and the overall style of the game. The movement and everything feels very polished, did not encounter any bugs or anything.

I really wish there was something more you could to with the players, it would have been really useful if you could use the "bond" between them to deal damage or even kill enemies. If they are close together the stronger their bond/chance to defeat an enemy.

I will be playing this game for a little while longer, really would love to beat it on hard.

And as a side thought, this game would totally be something I could imagine being on steam or another storefront.

Nice work.

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the amazing feedback.

It was actually our first idea that the "bond" deals damage in the exact same way you wrote it :D
but the map generator took us a lot of time so we run out of time to make a damage system. :/

Hey, time is limited, cuts need to be made, it happens don't sweat it!

This game looks and sounds great. I wish the spikes were a bit easier to see. It's a little tricky but that's what makes it so fun. good job!

Man is that lava terrifying! I love the post processing effects, and the dithering used in this game. All the graphics feel super cohesive. It takes a few attempts to get the hang of controlling the two spheres but once I got it down the tethering was super cool! Lovely little game with music that is an ear worm!

A dual character control puzzle game?

Fun:

This got high marks from me. I really enjoy this type of game. Controlling multiple characters at once. In this case 2 polarity driven spheres. The controls were just right for me. There were slight hiccups though where sometimes momentum would just cut out.

Innovation/Theme:

This type of control scheme is pretty unique just because not many games really go this route. So this is refreshing. The theme was a little weak to me at first, but luckily while playing I was able to ask you about it. It made since. If you keep your players together, they move faster, so you are technically stronger.

Graphics:

I really liked the look of the players, but the look of the overall environment felt just a little dull to me. You did have a lot of the cool effects and post processing so that was very well done. I just would have liked more variety for the environment. I know it was procedurally generated which was impressive, but every time I played it always felt the same since it was always the same colors and textures. But I think overall, another solid score!

Audio:

I would have given full marks here, the only thing keeping me from it was the fact that there was only a single song, or at least I could only make out one song. You also had solid SFXs.

Game Design:

This was another strong area. The only unclear design choices was communicating some information to the player such as the goal of the game/levels. Also the control capabilities. I honestly much more enjoyed the game using a control versus a keyboard. Great work overall!

I streamed it here:

We will very likely continue developing the game, thats why we look for constructive criticizm, it helps with that.

Thanks for playing and the detailed feedback! :)

amazing visual art direction you took there, really vibes with me.

the game is atmospheric, and have feeling. must to try

Really nice game. Fits the theme the graphics are amazing. I like that there is a setting for audio. Also the splash screen is really good. I just think that the enemies are way too fast and i can barely make it

Nice polished game!

The procedural part is great, well done!

To give you my thoughts:

-I think enemies spawned on me in the harder level, I just had the camera shaking a bit like when you take damage at some random moments and died after less hits than usual...

- I don't say it would be better with a clue on how many hits you can still take, especially since the levels are short, but maybe if you try to make longer levels it would be nice to know?

- At first I had a controller cabled to my computer and the red ball was moving left all the time! Other games did not had that issue so I decided to share it with you. After unplug there was no problem at all ! :)

Good job !

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the amazing feedback!

We've noticed that controller issue while playtesting aswell, with some controllers it seems to bug out.

Submitted

If it is of any help, it was a PS4 controller.

Game looks great. Procedural generation works well. Almost didn't realize it was multiplayer and I thought you had to drag around the red sphere the entire time. The music is good as well. Great job!

Visually stunning, impressive procedural generation and Difficult. People looking for a co-ordination challenge are really gonna love this one.

This game is amazing! Everything about it is so professionally made. The fact that the levels are procedurally generated makes it even more impressive! This game would be fun if there were designed levels. Maybe in the future you could make numbered levels with increasing difficulty that players need to get through in certain times to get 1-3 stars. A mobile version of this game would be interesting too, with two joysticks with the left and right side being the two orbs. I love the post processing and the lighting. I would definitely buy this game. Thanks for showing up to the stream today!

Thank you for the awesome feedback and playing it on stream!

Really like the graphics and glowiness of it and the use of an about section is very useful in figuring out what to do and how to control the balls, as other comments have stated adding in some enemies would make this game more interesting long term. Overall solid game, good work!

We had some ideas for more enemy variety, but ended up scrapping them because we started running out of time. I get your point tho, thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+2)

Wow! You did a good job =) I loved the graphics. Very simple but it's perfect. I think adding more ennemis or just set a goal for the player other than the "surivive" would make it a lot more interesting in long term. I loved playing this game!

The dungeons actually got a exit youre supposed to reach, but i already saw that the game should have communicated that more clearly.

Thank you for the feedback!

I can say very proudly that I completed the harder level with. I don't know if you wanted that people played it in couples but I played solo and control both orbs at the same time is veeery difficult, but it is funny though. The game is amazingly pollished and the procedural terrain is very good. Do you really make it in one week? It is an amazing job mate, congratullations.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for the feedback. We inteded it to be played solo, but it was supposed to be quite difficult. Good Job in beating harder! :D

Everything in the game was made during the jam, the dungeon generator took a lot of time to get working tho

Submitted(+1)

I liked it, pretty challenging to meneuver both at the same time, especially with the floaty movement.
The visuals are stunning! But I found it quite hard to look at when there's a lot of lava on-screen, maybe could use a vignette effect.

Developer

One of our playtesters mentioned that, so we toned the bloom down quite a bit, but i get what you mean. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Very cool concept but the controls didn't feel that great. Other than that, love the visuals!

Submitted(+1)

bit unused of the controls, but hot damn if I didn't have fun with this. Excellent job

Submitted(+1)

Not gonna lie, it was hard to finish a "normal" level by myelf, just because i was constantly mistaking the commands for each sphere hahaha
But the game is really cool ! The amtosphere and the graphics are so sleek, it goes really well with the audio. I would just add a little sound when you get knocked by one of those luminous spheres, but nothing to overwhelming, just something to tie the audio and the gameplay.

Overall i really enjoyed it and i'll definitely try it with a player 2 when i'll have the occasion !

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Maybe the effects volume is a bit too quiet on the default setting, because there should be a sound. Thank you so much for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Okay my bad. I just replayed it and i guess my brain just ignored the sound the first time around. Well now i don't have anything left to complain about ¯\_(◕ᗜ◕)_/¯
