Good concept, good art, good gameplay.
Not enough advertisement I would say :/
Definitely a well polished game, with cool mechanics.
You could try (if it is not already the case) to link effects and furniture so we could see in advance what's coming. I feel like a random effect could throw the game when you are followed by the magic circle and you suddenly have reverse controls haha.
Well done anyway !
Really simple game, but it can works :)
Good start!
It reminds me of a flash game called particles (could not find the link sorry...).
The main difference with your game is the fact that you move the player with the mouse instead of the WASD. And I think it is better with the mouse as you can move quicker and avoid pretty dangerous situations and have a lot of fun close calls.
But hey, that is just my opinion ;)
Maybe you could add some boost/upgrades so the player can get them to gain more possibilities? I felt like the best strategy here was to wait in a corner and pray for the randomness to get me a higher score haha.
Good job anyway!
Cute little game :) And nice voice acting haha.
It is so funny to see the customers going in and out on their chairs hahaha
I managed to stuck the waiter by placing objects in his path, and it kind of prevent me from finishing my task. But I guess it is a part of the game.
To give you my opinion, I feel like a score or a timer could add some depth to the game, or a reason to try again. Also it might be fun to add some hindrance, like people trying to stop you.
Anyway well done :)
Really cool! Good sounds, good voice acting, good environement. Really immersive. I got some vibes of overcooked too haha.
I am a bit disappointed to not have the time to focus on the effects after finishing a potion haha. It is like a lot is happening but I am focused in searching the next ingredient haha.
I felt like sometimes the clicks and the hand moving were not the same, but maybe it is just because I wanted to go too fast.
Good job fellow potion maker !
Really innovative! It shows a lot of creativity.
The chess-pawn like character is a bit too plain? also the physics feels a bit off. I would maybe increase the gravity scale and adjust the speed and jump force accordingly to have a quicker pace.
There was a bug where I could leave the dying animation so I got stuck and wondered why I wasn't moving haha.
Good job here, good luck.
I had a good time playing your game :)
I particularly like the before/after corruption on each zone.
In my opinion the bullet physics could be improved to have a real bullet-hell. I feel like you added the player speed to bullets on spawn or something, I am not sure if it is a good idea or not, it seemed like bullets were not going exactly were I had aimed. Also maybe it could be good for bullets to be quicker.
Like it is now, I did not fire a single bullet after second zone since I could not target anything properly and enemies were not a big threat while I was running in circle haha.
Also, there should be a hint somewhere about the double jump, necessary to leave the pyramid haha
But overall nice game ! :)
Fine little game.
I feel like it lacks a bit of consistency however.
I mean, obstacles are randomly blocking a cell for a few seconds, but it does nothing more. So I ended up just looking at inspector tic part of the screen and force my way until it worked.
If the timer is important, then I feel like the randomness of the obstacles is too... random, especially since the goal can also be blocked randomly haha.
Maybe having a randomly genereted path would be a solution. But I can feel already the time it would take to implement though !
Anyway that some details, as I said, it is a fine little game! Well done.
People already said it but I would not have been surprised if this was on steam or another platform as a small game!
Really well done!
If anything, I think you would gain adding somewhere in the menu a way to change the difficulty, for new player to keep this pacing (which is nice!) and strong players to have a harder version.
Also... A pause menu, on pressing escape... I think this one is almost mandatory haha, could not find it and could not keep my strike when I had to leave the game for a bit.
Congrats
Haha, the difference between the tutorial and the first attack is fun.
Nice game, the movements of the following cells are a bit slow in my opinion so I was more dragging them toward other cells than commanding an attack but it was not so bad.
The little bug on death and the one on the UI were already mentioned before. Before the first infection there is a component that I cannot pick, right before the three stacking cells.
I have not found anything game breaking so good job !! :D
It would have been really fun to have more varieties of cells and maybe a score ;)
Very well made! It shows that you have done some work there!
I have a few questions though:
-Why not allowing to zoom/un-zoom more?
-Why not making the map move when the mouse is on the edge?
-Why build on E instead of left click ?
It is a few details that surprised me on a game this complete.
The game is fun to play, really good quality for a week Game Jam ! Nice :)
Awesome idea! With little change it can be really a cool game!
As some other people pointed out, the hitbox are not good, it makes the game close to impossible to play.
Another thing that could be good would be for tiles to have a much slower speed at first and having them getting quicker by the time (with a limit I guess haha).
Great potential ! Well done :D
Wow thank you so much !
Haha we discussed about the stacking but decided it would make things too easy :p
We have prevented the player to be lock by making the inventory throw away precedent items to get new ones. So I guess that makes two ways to get rid of items ;)
The clicking through the UI is a problem. We know about it but didn't have the time to correct it. It will be on the after Jam patch though :)
Really Happy you had fun with our game, it was a lot of fun to make it too!
