In what way does your game fit the theme?
By buying helpers your group will become bigger and the helpers can help you fight.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I did not write everything. I used a free asset for the inverse kinematics. I followed a tutorial by brackeys on how to use raycasts but i did understand the code.

Great game, it has a lot of potential if you polish it more, I really liked the particles and effects. Maybe you could limit the movement speed because it becomes too fast and starts sliding, change the shop backgroung, add some music, particles for the punch and an animation for the helpers attack.

Developer

sure ill do that next time. thanks for the feedback

Ok, so the idea of a real time strategy but also a first person shooter is great, though, I understand you tried to make the game look good but I think the post-processing is way overdone and make the graphics look worse, also a pause menu and a volume slider would be much appreciated, moreover, the audio and UI is abysmal, sorry but I really think it is... all this game really needs is more polish,  and a true objective and you've got a great game on your hands!

Developer

no problem. i was thinking about adding a volume slider but there really was no point since theres no music in-game. i tried making it look like the sun is going down thats why i added a lot of post proccessing

Yeah but the effect was unfortunately not achieved with the sun.

Developer

i agree

I feel a little confused in the game, I understand the command and how to play, but I don't know when the enemy is hurting my helpers, maybe some simples feedback like a Icon over the head ou make the helper change color just to say he is been hit would be nice. Other thing, I recommend to put a speed limit or something because I was siliding like I was on some ice and feel little control on the movement. It's was really fun to do this, but put some limit to not feel I have little control over moviment.

And the background from shop kinda hurt my eyes. A bright yellow on the center of screen, well, make to pass minimum time possible. I case of doubt, use more desaturated color.

But nice work, keep improve your game.

Developer

whenever they collide they attack. yes sure i will fix the shop background. i was planning on using the Character Controller Component but i could not get jumping to work. I could get the gravity, movement and everything to work except the jumping. I had no choice but to use a rigidbody controller. sorry about that and thanks for your feedback

First off, I like the particle effects on people exploding and bullets landing. They look very nice. Secondly, the raycast shooting is simple but it does work well for the concept. I was a little confused about a goal. Did run around a shoot red guys for a while and building up my army. I am not exactly sure what the helper Army does. It looks like they attack the red guys but I can't tell. It might be because they don't have an animation effect. Also, I might just need help because I am still really tired from making my group's submission, but I saw the boss door, and I couldn't figure out how to go in there. Also building a game for WebGL and posting it on an itch.io page goes a long way for people playing your game.  This last one isn't a critique, but more of a word of advice. Sometimes I won't play a game just because there is no description or screenshot and I have to download it. Its to late for that now, but for any game jams in the future, it's very convenient.

i didnt have time to add the boss room ima add it in the future. yes the army does attack the red guys but i havent gotten far enough to make a attack animation for them and making it so it plays when they attack. also thanks for telling me to build my game in webgl. ill do that in the future because i understand people dont like downloading games for testing. thanks for the feedback
