This is incredible !! I was surprised by the strategy aspect and how well thought it was ! The theme was really well implemented and the difficulty was just enough to be challenging yet satisfying.
Great job on the visuals, every information needed is there, you quickly understand what's going on.
The only bad thing i noted was the druid control. I lost so many turns because i wanted to switch character and clicked on a friendly character and healed the party instead. Maybe the druid should click on himself to heal ? I don't know, but that's the only thing that bothered me.
Overall this is a super well made game ! Congrats !

Thanks for your review ! I'm glad you liked it !

"what the" was my first reaction.
Lucky for me i have an AZERTY keyboard (heeey fellow frenchies i see youuu) buuuut the fact that the ZQSD buttons, which are at the left of the keyboard, control the cat, who is at the right of the screen is so not intuitive. I was confused as hell why my dog was attacking when i wanted to make an attack with the cat. As i'm living alone and don't have a friend to test it with me right now, i found out that the easiest way to finish the level alone was to place both players on the same spot and spam the attack button and pray for the best, as they revive each other when one is down.
The characters are well animated, the environment is really cool, it really feels like a small street where gangs would beat each other up. The only critic on this aspect are the streetlights. In one of my attempts, i was almost done and i was getting hyped to finish the game but there were 2 ennemies hidden under the bottom right streetlight that i didn't notice. They didn't see me at first but they suddenly charged me and killed me out of nowhere. So yeah, these elements blocking the view can be really deceiving or annoying, be careful with that. (In my case it made me laugh because it was so out of nowhere)
Overall, the game is wacky. But in a good way. Everything is funny from the sounds to the characters to the actual strategy i had to come up with. It was fun and refreshing. Good job !

It's a fun game ! I'm not completely sold on the rotation of the whole "orbit" to aim as it makes things a bit awkward and ennemies getting stuck in the corners of your "system" can easily bully you in the final boss. It's especially tricky when you're trying to play using WASD where you have to stop moving to access ZX.
I also like the fact that you can straight up go to the boss if you're feeling brave but the level selection is a bit confusing : after getting my water friend i selected the level with the fire guy but turns out i should have picked the yellow one because the ennemies were also blue.
Good job nonetheless !

Thanks for your feedback ! :)

To be honest i never really made randomized levels so i wasn't sure about trying to implement that in a week for the first time hahaha
Also yeah the checkpoint issues was mentionned a few times and i guess i should have added one after the 3rd or 4rth level.
Thanks for your review and the kind words !

Oh and also i really liked the humor in the first few interactions of the characters. "You must have as many braincells as angles" made me laugh out loud.

Veeery good game. The controls are really hard to get used though. I kept confusing my jump and my grapple and the triangle wasn't moving fast enough when i wanted it to quickly go from one side to another. Maybe it would have felt a lot smoother with a controller rather than a keyboard.
The game is also challenging, but i found out that you could actually endlessly jump when you're next to a wall. Not sure if that was intended but you could cheese a big part of some levels with this.
Sometimes, the start of the level was just absurd. One time i spawned with a cannon and a flying square next to me and i tried to get rid of them while going up but the lava almost instantly went up and i panicked so hard.
The art is reaaally good. You kept a really graphic style with these simple shapes and it worked. The fact that your life is indicated by your trail is a good idea, but it's not always completely readable when the triangle also has a trail.
Overall it was a challenging but really well made game. Great job !

To be honest i really thought i was gonna scrap it because i was so frustrated of everything i had to cut (animations, vfx, sounds) but after reading the feedbacks, i may get back to it someday :)
Thanks for your review !

Thanks !
I was a bit afraid of making too many places unreachable without the monsters because i got scared of softlocking players if any of the areas were necessary. But i'm glad you liked it !

Nice nice nice ! The game is fun and engaging, but a few things could be perfected to take it to the next level in my opinion.
- The multiple checkpoints were pretty useful, but some of the controls could be a bit more forgiving. For example, adding a short time where you could still jump if you fall off a platform would make things smoother. I also had a tough time getting through the spikes after rescuing the blue member because it felt almost pixel perfect to go through the gap in the wall.
- The boss is challenging in a good way. However, everytime he screamed after getting a few hits, he pushed me in the spikes and made me loose a heart on my way back to the start. I'm not sure if this was intended but it was pretty harsh to be cautious of my health to be sure to go through the fight even if i didn't take much hits. The trigger for the start of the fight should be bigger because when i first entered the room i immediatly climbed all the way up and was greeted by an inactive and unvulnerable boss waiting for me to go back to the center of the floor.
- The art assets are good but some of them don't feel like they are part of the same art style, thus making some objects look out of place.
Again, i'm being picky but i enjoyed the game ! Good work !

Thanks for your review ! :D

Cu(uuuuu)te artwork and simple gameplay, this could be a great setup for a game with child stories !
Maybe the player shouldn't be able to scroll down if the image isn't going to show up when he's supposed to wait or do something. That would make it more obvious that something is expected from the player sometimes. For example, i didn't really catch that i was supposed to click on a flag at first, and expected another panel for the minigame after this one when i first saw the text.

But overall it's well made and congrats on your first finished game !

Cute and wholesome ! The only thing that bothered me was that pressing the spacebar while interacting with a npc restarted the chat, but other than that it was a fun little gather game with a fun pun on the theme !

PS : my browser doesn't support WebGL2 and i'm on macOS at the moment but i'll make sure to review your game tomorrow night when i get back home from my week at work !

Thank you very much for the kind words !

Thank you for your review !
Aah i didn't think of the idea of using the newly bound character to heal your minions. That could have been a good idea indeed. To be honest i was already running out of time and had to cut animations and feedback (trust me i was pissed haha), and it was only late in the week that i realized that someone could (and would) try to bind a monster with the "team" being complete... So i had to do the easiest solution and just make it impossible to bind with a full team. ^^"

Thank you so much for the kind words !
May i ask you what you meant by "a little weird" though ? Does it distort or something like that ?

Thank you very much !!

Thank youu !

Fun and cute ! I just had a few bugs where the character had some "pauses" in his movements. For exemple i was pressing the right arrow button continuously and Slime Boy would start moving, they sometimes just stopped there for half a second before starting moving again. Not like a frame freeze but more like an input lag ?
I also had another glitch when running into the cliff when falling in the moutain level i just got teleported to the top of the screen and wasn't able to move anymore, and everything started lagging at this point so i had to close the game.

I'm currently on my old macbook that i use for work so maybe it's just my computer that has a problem with unity physics, i don't know haha

Well done !

Thanks for the review ! Yeah as i mentionned in other replies, i totally get that one of the main problems of the game is the lack of feedback to the player and i think i would add that if i get back to it.
I thought about the "replacing" you're mentionning but... i thought about it too late to decide what to do with the time i had left so i just decided to make it "ok if you're full, you can max the bind gauge but it's just not binding and it stays full until you have a free slot". It's really not the way i expect a fully realised game to work but it was the easiest solution so i had to go with it hahaha
I didn't even think about a custom mouse cursor and that's actually a cool idea, i'll make sure to think about that in my next jams !
Thanks again for your time !

Kirby and Pokemon are in fact some of my favorite game franchises so i'm actually really flattered by this ! Thanks for the kind review !
I played your game and it was really fun !

Thanks for the review ! I agree with you and i guess i was so focused on the lack of animations and vfx due to the time limit that it didn't even occur to me that some sounds would have been quick and would have given a bit of feedback haha

I really like this ! The simple twist on the scrolling shooter genre is really effective in this case and makes a fun game ! I don't have someone to try it with me at the moment but i can already tell it must be really fun to play this with someone and break a friendship over non-coordination.
The art is nice but the only problem for me is that the enemy and the player have the same color palettes. It doesn't make them pop as much as they could i think. A good thing to correct that would be an outline or just a really slight hue variation so we can still understand that they're both of the same "color" but not on the same team.
The other detail that could be corrected is the font on the game over screen which is "smooth" when it could be the same 8bit font that you have on the main screen.

I'm being picky but overall this game is really cool ! Well done !

Thank you very much for your review !
Yeah animations would be the first thing i would add if i get back on this project :)

Okay my bad. I just replayed it and i guess my brain just ignored the sound the first time around. Well now i don't have anything left to complain about ¯\_(◕ᗜ◕)_/¯

This was a very relaxing experience ! If i had to change something it would be the colors though. A nice color palette would greatly improve the visual without having to do too much about it.
If you ever think of pushing the project, i would recommend adding a colorblind mode !

Great job !

The game was so polished and so fun that i have a hard time finding some constructive criticism about it. It's challenging but in a way that lets you satisfied when you find the solution. Outstanding work !

I had some collision issues during my playthrough but the game was pretty nice. I didn't get to the end yet but i'm enjoying it so far.

What i mean by collision issues is my characters getting stuck on walls when jumping and some enemies spawning in the ground. I had a skeleton spawning under the floor but the point of its weapon was going through it. I thought he wouldn't harm me too much but i stepped on him without jumping and immediately died hahaha

Good job !

Really really cool game ! I think we had a similar concept in this jam but you really pulled that off nicely ! The mechanics are well thought and the game balance is really good ! But it's hard when you can't heal at all :p

Thank you so much for the review ! <3

Oooh got it ! I definitely got that feeling, as i didn't shoot enough to make it flee i guess hahaha

Almost had to change my pants playing this. The only thing i didn't get was what is the use of the gun ? I tried shooting at this monstrosity and it just went through hahaha

Great game, great visuals and great audio. Nice job to you !

Thanks for your review ! I'm glad you enjoyed it !

The concept is cool ! I had a little bug in the level 3 where the 2 robots at the left of the screen accidently stepped on a wall when it came back (i guess) and they were actually floating. I'll leave you a screen so you can see what i'm talking about haha.

Other than that, the game was really cool ! It's just not really clear what walls are timer-based or not unless you try them and so you can softlock yourself pretty easily (especially at the beginning of the second level).

Good job !

It's a really well made game, and the fact that it's a randomly generated world makes it even better !
I only have one complaint : the more npc you rescue, the more they... block you. I've been bullied between a tree and a rock by the wizard and the golden lady and they wouldn't let me out for a few seconds :'(
Other than that, good game and good job to you all !

Thank you very much for your review !

Really like the concept of building up a fire and using your health as munitions ! However, the game is really really hard. The enemies almost one-hit the player, and the collisions are not forgiving at all ! I don't really know if you can actually kill the enemy because everytime i tried shooting at them i ended up killing myself before killing them so i just tried to avoid them in the end.
Didn't get past lvl3 as i couldn't reach the the fire above the enemy.

Quick note, when working with moving platforms i think it's better to try to have a coordinated pattern, where they always connect where they're supposed to. For exemple in level 3, i had to rely on luck to get the 3rd platform to be there when the 2nd was up, and that's quite frustrating when the 2nd platform kills you when going down.

Overall the game was still playable and fun, it just needs to be a bit more forgiving with the player ! Good job !

Thanks you ! Yeah, animations, sfx and sounds were intended to give some player feedbacks, but i got short on time so i had to make decisions :)
