Ranked from 21 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

In what way does your game fit the theme?
The theme was stronger together. Slime Boy and Ghost Girl need to work together to collect the gems. It is impossible to beat the game with just one character so they are stronger together.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all code myself, all artwork is from myself, game design is mine, but music is copyright free, royalty free music.

Thank you!

Nice idea, you can play with another mate using the mouse, we need more games like this, where 2 can play the same game using keyboard and mouse!

Developer

Thanks! I wanted something like Fireboy and Watergirl but different.

Very fun and really cute story! The different mechanics are really nice, every area has their own unique thing you can do with ghost girl, really interesting. Cool music as well. Only thing is the visuals which are a bit bland, and colliders with moving platforms. Other than that, it's a fun experience!

Developer

Thanks! I do agree the visuals could be better but I'm not much of an artist. I'm glad you enjoyed my game!

Fun and cute ! I just had a few bugs where the character had some "pauses" in his movements. For exemple i was pressing the right arrow button continuously and Slime Boy would start moving, they sometimes just stopped there for half a second before starting moving again. Not like a frame freeze but more like an input lag ?
I also had another glitch when running into the cliff when falling in the moutain level i just got teleported to the top of the screen and wasn't able to move anymore, and everything started lagging at this point so i had to close the game.

I'm currently on my old macbook that i use for work so maybe it's just my computer that has a problem with unity physics, i don't know haha

Well done !

I noticed some of these bugs too, but couldn't fix them due to time limit. When the player is in the level (which senses the platform engine) the platforming code I made freaks out and decides to lag everything to death. The 1st example of this was me adding slight extra code, that makes the spots most likely crash the game, less likely crash the game, and just cause a small programming overload.

Really cute story with a surprising amount of diverse mechanics! I really like how many different use cases you found for the ghost, I wish the final level used all of them at once. The controls for the ball felt really good, though jumping off slopes was a bit finicky (but slopes are notoriously difficult to manage in platformers, so it's understandable). Very well designed and endearing, great entry!

Super simple but very good! I didn't expect the change on mouse mechanics, clever levels, and the cutscenes gave it a nice touch.

Developer

Thanks. I like building on mechanics I introduce.

Good game, it fits the theme very well

Developer(+1)

Thanks. I was thinking a Fireboy and Watergirl-like game would be good for the jam, but wanted to do something different enough.

Submitted

yeah, they used to be my favourite games back when I got free time in school.

Really cute game and story. I also like the game mechanics which fit the theme very well. It would have been cool to start combining the different level mechanics together.

Developer

Thanks!

Really creative game- I loved the cute and cheesy storyline 7/10 from me

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The story is a little cheesy, but it's hard to make a fully fleshed out story in a week.

Very cute story, Super fun!

Cute game! I enjoyed having more mechanics explored as you progressed through the game!

The idea of the game and the gameplay are really cool.

Cute! I like the level with the castle.

Very fun and cute! The cubes switching puzzles are well designed.

Developer

Thanks! That is probably my favorite level.

This is adorable :) and fun to play. Controlling the character felt nice.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I wanted to make sure both characters were easy to move at the same time.

The story is kinda cute ngl xd

Thanks!

Nice game! I think that the platforming mechanics were the strongest part. My biggest issue was probably that dying seemed to glitch out and freeze the game for me, but other than that I had a great time jumping and using the mouse for platforming

Developer

Thanks. The platforming code I used doesn't like it when the player goes into walls, and the player isn't completely round so it can sometimes clip into walls. I'm glad you liked it.

I really enjoyed playing this game, it had charming characters and the innovation/mechanics were really cool and engaging! Awesome work!

Developer

Thanks

Really charming and mechanically interesting puzzle platformer. The use of the mouse reminded me of those sections in Mario 3D World where you had to use the touchpad to move and reveal platforms. The dark section was interesting mechanically but very frustrating at times, especially since jumping can feel unresponsive on the slanted platforms. Overall, a really charming and inspired platformer!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! It is similar to the touchpad I suppose. Also thanks for the constructed criticism on the slanted platforms. You also made a great puzzle game.
