In what way does your game fit the theme?
The Robot must be together with his head to be stronger. This way it fits the theme "Stronger Together". The player's head separates when energy is low and he has to knock it around to recharge and become strong again. The enemies will increase in difficulty with each wave.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Assets were taken from free sources, most of them were made by us. The full source code is written by us.
NOTE: The restart button is broken. Please start the game again if you want to play. Sorry for the inconvenience. Forgot a line of code. xD

I really like arena games with wave system and with cool pixelart graphics, polished UI, yours not an exception, the only downside was few times I couldn't find my head on the ground and turrets also stop shooting me other than that great game, congrats!

-p.s killing with the head was so much fun-

Developer

That is just a bug with the restart button. I forgot to program it.

Great arts, an interesting concept that fits the theme! I have some bugs like turrets are shooting but bullets don't appear, and my head disappeared from the level. But it still a funny game)

Great and simple game! I just thought the music was a bit repetitive and not really fitting for the game (it's not like it's Flappy Birds). But that's the only thing that got a minus in my book!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! The soundtrack was made in a hurry. I will develop a more fitting and newer soundtrack after the jam.

Haha I got you. I literally did my sound design in the last hour before I had to build, upload and submit my game. :D Had some technical issues right before that, which threw me off quite a bit. Although I fortunately had already made the music at this point.

I went into lmms and got something together as much as I could. I'm so glad that even though this is the first time I jammed here, I got it finished. The community is very inspiring.

It really is! First time for me, too. And seeing the process of some games in the discord channel has been fun also!

That is one cool game. The headless mode is imba and I love it!

Thanks!

You did a great job! Consider adding medkit in the map so that I can play longer.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I was working on a chest mechanic after few waves to reward the player but the time frame of the jam did not allow it. Will add it after the jam.

Feel free to play my game, it will be interesting!

I have your game in my list. I will play all of them tomorrow and upload the videos in my youtube. I will leave a link in the comments. Thank you!

Wearing head is hyper mode, losing head is air hockey deathmatch mode. The concept is very innovative, and it's cool that there are two fighting styles that are very different from each other. Gameplay, animations and mechanics are very smooth and responsive. Well done! :)

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing! I am glad you liked it.

Well done on this original concept of the player losing his head, and the 2 phases that makes the gameplay change asking the player to adapt, I liked it !
I also liked the pixel art and the fact that the shot head rebound like that on the player/walls haha
What would be good I think is to add a feedback sound on the player getting hit. I sometimes didn't noticed I lost that much health and got surprised by my death :')
But tried again !
Thanks for sharing your work and game !

Developer

Thank you for the review. I am glad you liked it.

Really interesting game this, i really like that you can  kick the helmet at the turrets to destroy them and how he goes super sayan with it on XD Really neat game with cool graphics

Developer

Thank you for your inspiration.

At first, I didnt realize the kicking part so I was like "This little dude sucks" But then I figured out to kick the head and he became instantly more fun. It was so much fun going from a melee warrior to an epic head kicker. Really great game mechanics and was a lot of fun to play!

Developer

Thank you for the review. I am glad you liked it. A nice tutorial explaining all the mechanics might be a good idea.

All good really! I really like kicking around the object .D

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!

Nice little game! The music is great and the animation as well. The attacks also feels quite satisfying. Enemies spawning in you is a little issue but it of course rarely happens.

If you want check out our game as well :)

Developer

Thank you for playing and your kind feedback! Much appreciated. Don't forget to rate our game. Thanks!
