In what way does your game fit the theme?
Gathering companions while going through the dungeon let's you advance and gives an HP boost. The amount gathered affects your points at the end, and they all have a different attack.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code were either written by me as I made the submission or taken from an earlier project of mine (simple stuff for refference really, I modified everything heavily). The art assets were made entirely by me, and for the font, sounds, and music I left the authors on my game's description.

I got similar bugs to the guy below me, but I really liked the aesthetic and it fit the theme well!

Developer

I know. The bugs are a bit hit and miss. They do appear some times. I'm glad you enjoyed my game!

It's a nice game overall. I like the music and graphics very much! But I think a tutorial might be necessary to explain mechanics properly. It took me a while to figure out.

Yeah, I noticed a few different bugs happened all at once for you. Normally enemies take 1 hit, you turned invisible and the enemies actually ocupy the same space as you if you let them.

To go to the next level you'd need to kill those two. A piece of advice for that is to position yourself diagonally and time the attack after they do.

Hope you can reach the next level, though it's probably the most challenging maybe.

I will upload another If I get time to play again! Thanks!

Interesting Concept. This is great! I like the simple graphics and the cute and simple characters. The combat is weird but it is ok. I also like the 8-bit sound effects! Great job!

Developer

I opted to go 1-bit-ish, on an 8x8 grid to simplify the process. The art took me very little to make on the first day and I always could come back and add more. I'd like to do more intricate stuff in the future, but it felt right this time. The combat could improve greatly, yes. Maybe I'll change it post Jam.

Thanks for playing and leaving a comment!

A cool looking game with good visuals and audio.  I think the spikes should have a better signal for when it attacks as it is somewhat confusing at first.  Also the controls are a little clunky and sometimes you can't move using wasd or anything, although I think that's just because I played the html version.  Nice job overall!

Developer(+1)

Hey! Thanks for the comment. There're definitely some bugs with movement at times. I think It has to do with the characters selection when you attack. Glad to know you can play it on the web version since I couldn't get it to load!

Something I'd change is to aim with the mouse as well as shooting, or removing the mouse input completely and just using the keyboard. But I'm happy with what I managed to make

Dude yes!!! Life before death! I can't run the game currently because my laptop doesn't have a mouse, but I will when I get back to my desktop. I've made my fair share of cosmere games too, go check them out!! Will update review once I play the game :)

I read Way of Kings recently and since the theme was stronger together, it made me think of Bridge 4 and it inspired the name instantly. The gameplay itself is its own thing though.

I tried it on my tablet and it works with touch screens. It's a surface with Windows and ran the executable.

I'll go check yours for sure!
