The game was enjoyable overall. I wish the UI was clearer because I had a hard time understanding what the buttons do. Other than that, good job!

How does the game fit the theme?
It's about a guy, who was sent to go shopping, by his mom, but it turned out to be a black friday and now he has to fight for his life. Player is forced to exchange one of his items each round, which forces him to not only hope for a lucky item, but also for a easy opponent in upcoming fight.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
None, unless presets for keys for the simple soundtrack count.

Pretty cool game overall. I agree with what some others have said, the turn and the buttons state could've been much clearer. And an in-game tutorial would of course elevate the experience more. Other than that, well done!
Everything looks cute! I wished it was clearer on whose turn it is, and the button state, because I realized I just randomly tapped buttons and hoped things would happen. Nonetheless, good job overall!
fun concept and visuals, I was a little confused at first but I found the tables on the game page and the game clicked for me. good work!
Really nice you have all the elements here for an interesting game. Wish you could see the item descriptions in-game. Nice work!
Fun game with a cool idea, wish there was a way to see what the items do in the game but atleast thats in the description.
I really love the visuals and animations! Idk why, but I feel like this game would be really fun to play with 2 players!
You seem to have placed a great effort in the weaponry. The pixel art looks great. 7 days to make a game IS a crunch, but you have a cool idea and you can expand on it after the jam :)
- As others said, add helper UIs in-game or add a tutorial scene to help players understand the mechanics.
- Your game page tells a story so a bit of dialogue can make the game interesting as well (e.g. "This is mine!", "Back off!", "Take that! No.. That's mine. Give it back!")
I love the artwork, you did a great job! The game was confusing until I went back and saw your notes about what things did. Fun game.
I wish I had an intro and some tutorial :) I am missing that part :D I was not sure, and I started pressing the buttons of the enemy trying to steal my precious goods at the store ahah
The concept is nice, :D I was expecting things to go bad! Keep improving it!
Nice one and a little tutorial would be beneficial in order to get onboard easily but good job.
Nice artwork, really liked the art style. A little bit confusing but a really nice game.
Was rather confused and didn't know how the fighting worked. I knew pressing the food item threw it but between the other buttons on the right side I wasn't sure what was happening
This game looks super nice and polished! The idea is fun and unique. It was a bit confusing what to do, but I think it could be a pretty cool game with some UI helpers as others have mentioned.
I played while guessing the function of the item, and finally won the second round after 300 rounds of fighting with the opposite party XD
Really fun game to play; it has the potential!
