The intro scene that sets up the premise of the nasty leaf is very well executed.  I found the game super hard and had to dodge the bugs and race to the pond to win XD.  The telegraphed attacks from the enemy bugs are really well implemented!

This is really dope, I like the simplicity of the controls and the style.

Thank you all so much for the love and supportive feedback during this jam! ❤️ We’re just three friends who are very new to game development, and this was our first-ever submission. Our only goal was to create something that at least one person would have fun playing, and we’re beyond happy to say that we’ve achieved that! We’re incredibly grateful for all the support—it truly means the world to us!

Cute little game. Had lot's of fun playing it, I originally expected glorified snake but I got pleasantly surprised. Well done!

Simple and fun to play. It takes some time to get used to the controls cause turning around takes more time. I was expecting that the caterpillar would grow or something, but you went into a different direction.

Nice game, but I think it's very  hard to shoot the bugs without getting damaged while you can't stop moving and just walk into them.

Nice simple and fun game to play

Fun little game.  You can add a lot of things to it after the Jam . Nothing else to say really..

nice! the game looks and feels very good, grinding was satisfying. the progression is very nice

Nice little game, even when I found it a bit hard. Visuals and audio are nice, the little storytelling is also nice. The theme could have been a bit more implemented :)

But, nice submission :)

Cool and cute game! I really liked! I enjoyed to kill those "big" insects haha! Awesome work!

Really cool! It's reminded me of slither.io, an evolution of that. I think the enemies are too fast but other then that it's great!

  • + Fun gameplay loop. SImple but effective.
  • + The storyline is quite cute. I actually got attached to the grub because it was very wholesome.
  • - The turning felt unatural, maybe something that would limit turn speed?
  • + The powerup system is smart, it made me want to play the game more(I got a lot of attack speed).
  • - Minor complaint: The keyboard sound for the narrator felt a bit off, didn't really fit the game?
  • ~Bug: I think that stamina does basically nothing. I could hold the dash bar constantly even with no stamina and I would still move faster. Maybe adding a cooldown to the stamina before it would recharge? Maybe make the player wait for it charge to full or something?
  • + I liked the big centipede fight, it was surprisingly fun(big reward is a good bonus)

Overall the game was great! Very fun! Congrats :)

The game I played the longest of the jam. It could be expanded into a full game. My only complain is that the life is draining a bit too fast. Good job!

The grub controls are awesome and the environment was nicely done. Love the gameplay, keep it up!

Short little roguelike-ish game. I liked it.

Really fun game!

You did really well implementing the souls like style and I really enjoyed playing your game.

Overall, I think it would fit the style a bit better if you are not supposed to just go into the lake to finish the game. You don't need to be strong to do this, you could just rush trough all the enemies. Maybe add a wave system where enemies get stronger over time and you need to kill a certain boss to get some medicine to get rid of the parasite. Also, maybe the grub doesnt want to get rid of it as it gives it really cool powers.

Still, really good game and I really enjoyed playing it!

Thank you so much for the great feedback! We are very glad you enjoyed it! We will definitely take these recommendations into consideration if we decide to keep developing the game after the jam.
