Played F-Zero X as a kid, this is not how I remember it lol
Big fan of Captain Falcon. I think you have the foundations here to build something really great! Just some small tweaks to controls maybe. I accidentally flew off the track on one of my attempts and honestly you could even repurpose it to a space exploration game haha, it felt nice "flying" towards the green planet. Nice job on this!
the "flyleaf - I'm so sick remix" is soo good. song name please
as for the game... I HAD FUN LOL. I don't know what I'm doing but it was a mess it's fun. I fell off the track immediately and just fly around weirdly. and then asteroids. I'm gonna restart the game
I appreciate your space time brother! I sort of mashed it together but I will keep polishing it into a racing+ game, a little F-Zero, a little space adventure and hopefully more.
As for the song, I don't know if it's an official thing yet but I happened to catch the live creation of it, here is the link to the end where it's done and played (he has lots of cool videogame mashup music):
KeiferGreen - Untitled (?)
It's a good prototype. Just needs a bit of time to cook.
For the first corner, you might want to add some walls so the player doesn't drift off into space while they're still figuring out the controls and physics characteristics.
I really like FZero and seeing a project about it made in a week is very cool! I thought the way the car controlled ws very awesome, and I really liked the game. Great job!
Interesting game. Controls a bit floaty but definitely potential here. Good work.
This game is chaos, love it ahahaha.... very cool!
When I started the game I was confused. I've finished the game
and I'm still confused.
p. s.: このゲーム、わかりにくいぞ、キャプテン・ファルコン!
Indeed, even when I lost control, spun around, went off the track and my vehicle caught fire, nothing could go wrong! 5/5 for the theme! This is pretty cool, keep working on it!
it first i didn't understand what is going on, BUT it was COOL
Nice twist !
This was fun, building two games in one. Quite entertaining thanks for the play.
It’s 1 am and I’m clearly too tired, I must be hallucinating made me laugh lmao
Lol im so confused but i loved every minute of it. Great job! Definitely a unique game!
This was insane in a fun way. I really liked the incorporation of the anime clips.
I have no idea what's going on, but this is awesome. I fell off the race track immediately, then got to shoot steroids for a couple minutes. I would suggest to try and make it more clear what's going on in the second half. But it's possible I'm not the target audience as I'm not super familiar with Captain Falcon.
Someone needs to bring Captain Falcon back, so I am on a mission!
For sure I needed some more text/functionality, just one of those 3:30am grinds and I pushed out all that I did haha. This is a very early prototype, and I would love to turn it into something super badass in the next few months.
Appreciate your space time!
I definitely feel that grind though. It always feels a little awkward trying to provide some advice or feedback to jam games. Knowing that a lot of people had to sacrifice features or polish just to get the game done in time.
Salute back to Captain Falcon. Had fun playing your game. "Falcon Punch"
Loved the japanese 'what-the-fuck'ness of this 😅.
Minor Accessibility hint: look into physical keys instead of characters for your controls, that'll make it easier to play on other keyboard layouts (AZERTY gang rise up!)
A bit more in terms of UI or UX would help a lot I think, I wasn't sure how to start racing at the beginning. Additionally, the wall collision was a bit rough but the experience felt pretty true to the original at least for the racing section. Awesome and ambitious work!
Fun game. Fell off the map though haha. But, cool transition from race to shooter!
