Thanks!

Interesting game. Nice mechanics, pretty art and sound -- well done!

Absolutely gorgeous looking game! Loved the idea of using parallax to hide object! And beautiful, calming music. An excellent game -- very well done!

Interesting game. A bit confusing, but started to get the hang of it. Beautiful art design -- well done!

Interesting game, loved the retro graphics and sound. Great gameplay ideas -- well done!

Pretty little game, with an interesting mechanic -- well done!

Fascinating game, with beautiful art design and intriguing gameplay -- well done!

Interesting little game. Couldn't get higher than 56% unfortunately -- really needed a second set of eyes and hands, I think!

I'll keep that in mind -- thanks!

I know the feeling -- sure the jam says it's 96 hours, but when you've got family to manage, you lose a lot of that time.

Thanks for playing -- I've seen quite a few games with a Dracula theme, so I'm not the only one to make that connection (the Count from Sesame Street even showed up in the theme reveal trailer!)

I did think about doing mouse aim, but in the end decided that would make things too easy!

Great little game! Loved the art, sound and the gameplay. Only suggestion would be to allow blocks to be rotated.

Excellent job -- well done!

Thanks for playing. There were plans for some additional mechanics (pickups, more varied landscape, etc.) and additional enemies (elite vampire hunters, Van Helsing himself as a boss, etc.) that were cut to keep the scope small. There's no requirement in the jam that the game has more than one mechanic to fit the theme (indeed, the rules say that it's entirely optional), but not only is there a countdown in the imminent sunrise, but the pun in the game's title and concept.

Nice VCR effects on the screen, and good sounds. Interesting idea, but the gameplay is a bit straightforward -- do math and enter number.  Also, the last line of text on the how-to-play screen is disappearing off the bottom edge (or completely missing in fullscreen mode). A decent effort.

Loved playing this (and I'm so uncoordinated, I don't usually play rhythm games). Great animation on the Count, and the tunes are fantastic (thanks for sharing with CC0 -- I'm sure I'll use them in a future jam).

Very interesting puzzler! Great retro graphics, and intriguing gameplay -- well done!

Beautifully polished puzzle game! Loved the sounds, graphics and animation! Great job!

Terrific little game! Lots of frustration around every jump! Great graphics and sound, and very satisfying laser effects! Great job, loved it!

Once I thought of the pun, I just knew I had to build a game around it. Judging from some of the other entries, I'm not the only one!

Thanks for playing, and glad you enjoyed it!

The enemies could have been worse -- I made a mistake in their rate-of-fire in an early build and accidentally turned it into a bullet-hell! (Hmm, maybe I should add that as an optional.)

I found the music on jamendo.com.

Thanks!

Nice little game -- art style was very nice, with cute sound that fit the tone very well! Gameplay was a bit frustrating -- I kept running or jumping into the side of the spikes, but I guess it made finishing a level that much more rewarding.

Cute little game! Love the art style -- reminds me of playing platformers in the '80s and '90s. Did have a problem where some of the doors didn't appear to work unless I moved away and came back to them.

Thanks for playing!

I really like the music too -- as you can see from the asset list, I found it on jamendo.com.

I love retro games, and I tend to go for that style of game when I do game jams.

I wanted to have better logic for the enemies, but ran out of time to implement it.

Had a go on your newly uploaded version, really solid platformer. Good work!

Awesome, beautiful game. Absolutely loved it. Excellent work, well done!

Thanks for playing! Glad you approve of the difficulty, though it was completely by accident. If I'd had more time, it would probably have been balanced out.

Restart button is pretty easy to implement, not sure why I didn't....

Cute game, good work!

Nice little game, cute graphics. Good work -- well done!

Interesting little game, pretty graphics. Excellent work -- well done.

Papers, Please for aircraft maintenance :-D

Had a lot of fun playing this, even with the missing mechanics you had planned. Beautiful artwork throughout, a real pleasure to play.

Only suggestions I have are sound, and making the time skip feature more prominent (maybe near the clock). Wasn't until Day 4 that I noticed the comment in the description text beneath the game window :-D

There's definitely the beginnings of a great little game here, and I'd encourage you to keep going with it. Excellent work (and your first game too!) -- very well done!

Interesting puzzler -- good work.

Unfortunately, the game wouldn't load for me, and this error message was in the browser console:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403

with the following tworesources:

  • html-classic.itch.zone/html/12890085/TemplateData/style.css:1
  • html-classic.itch.zone/html/12890085/Build/Documents.loader.js:1

Potential here. The sound really contributes to the atmosphere, unfortunately the insanely high mouse sensitivity made me a little motion-sick, and some of the limitations (like not being able to move between the rows of desks in the classrooms) didn't make sense. Good effort though -- well done.

Yes, that could work quite well.

Thanks for playing. I had a plan for powerups to improve the truck handling as the player progressed, but I ran out of time to implement. There also wasn't any time to properly balance the traffic either.

A very beautiful game, with some interesting mechanics and puzzles. Excellent work -- well done!

Thanks for playing. I ran out of time to do proper balancing or add in powerups to improve the truck's handling.

That poor kitty! Felt guilty laughing at some of the deaths. Cute graphics, nice sound, great gameplay. Excellent work -- well done!

Thanks!
