The world changes to prevent you from doing something wrong.

That's the shame there is a problem with clipping, i was really enjoying myself tho!

Sorry to hear about your OneDrive problems -- I usually stash anything important (like game jam projects) into folders that OneDrive doesn't "know about".

I can see what you were trying to accomplish here, and you've got the basis of a solid platformer here. I like the aesthetics, and I'd really like to see what you post once the voting period is over.

Good work!

Had a go on your newly uploaded version, really solid platformer. Good work!

the game itself is very good, but it has some bugs, in some parts of the map when I go to fall on a thorn and the wall appears I get stuck on the wall, But the game is really cool and fun

I loved the whole aesthetic of this game. The sounds were perfect. I don't think I hit anything catastrophic bugwise, just some clipping that R solved for me. From reading the comments I figured out how to launch the character, so I think what might help the player is maybe make a little drawing in the walls showing the column launching the character upward. Which, I am a big fan of the controls and directions embedded in the game like that. This is great work!

The game mechanic is very smart to use knockbacks from enemy and walls to jump higher. I encountered alot of wall clipping, and really really tried the high jump for many time but failed, can't get the timing right for that super high jump.
**Everything went wrong hahaha.

Hey, just tried it out and u gotta go easy on yourself

And I get you, I also couldnt finish my game and worse? I couldnt even complete level 1 xD (Have 3 levels, all 2 of them easily breakable and the last one not even beatable.. you cant even see the end screen where i said that "welp I couldnt complete the game, sry")

And for the game critique (The below aint some biased review btw)

- The game is actually kinda fun.. (Short but fun)

- You say the art was bad, but the start screen looks fabulous (and the inner art? I call that simple artstyle lol)

- The sound effects were good too

-When I saw the first floating coin, I knew that it was gonna have some way to get to it, and that exactly what was told in the next screen, I ran back to the last one and grabbed that coin

- Secret endings are always a bonus (especially in jam games). I think I found yours

Alr, final words

The game is broken? yes Does that mean its not fun? No, it IS fun

You think it doesnt even fit the theme? Well I saw another game (mario like artstyle) and ppl in the discord were loving it, it had similar concept to yours

I hope to see more of your work! Dont stress it, you did good
Also hope to see you in future jams :D Keep working hard!

Very fun game, I like the art and I like the way you used the theme (when i asked my dad what to do he said this but i couldn't think of how it would work but this is acctually great) well done!

I like the minimal pixel art style of the game. The glow effect used in the scenes looks beautiful. The game fits the GameJam theme very well. Sometimes the character does get stuck in the platforms that pop up. Good job!

This is a cool game and a really neat concept! One of the few literal interpretation were nothing actual can go wrong (for the most part). Visuals are done simple and well, as is sound. Unfortunately I had some trouble getting past certain areas due to glitching into the walls - but that's just how physics collision is sometimes. Good stuff!

Did not understand what was happening
