Ranked from 28 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.
How does the game fit the theme?
In two ways: 1) the simple nature of pressing buttons may lead the player to believe that the game is easy, and 2) the fact that ANY collisions result in a loss!
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All art, programming, and music was original - some sound effect assets were licensed from a third party.

This is a simple little game. I do like the concept of it, and it feels like there is potential to be a very chaotic traffic management game. Currently, the game is not that difficult. It's the train that complicates the game, and makes the game more fun. I do like the graphics of the game and it looks very good. The overall vibe is also nice with the desert theme.
For some suggestions, I'd say the car should accelerate and decelerate slower, as it felt too easy and unrealistic when the car just stopped immediately when you changed the light signal. Adding a system for the car so that they might not stop in time should make the game a bit more difficult and way more fun. I would also suggest zooming out the map a bit and add more intersections. It shouldn't be done at the get-go, but if you are going to make the game longer, do consider increasing the chaoticness when the game progresses.
Anyway, I think you still did a nice job making this game. Keep up the good work!
A very simple but difficult game! I found it very addicting haha. Great job :)
A very fun and addicting experience (with a simple an intuitive yet challenging design). It was clear for me instantly how to play when the game loaded, and the immersion of being a traffic controller was quite well done. I like the interaction with the train, the clear diegetic UI for the "angryness" of car drivers. The sound effect of the incoming train was awesome. (It reminded me a bit of the game Train Conductor 2). The difficulty curve was well implemented, and it didn't start of too difficult. More maps (maybe an icy biome or grasslands) would be a cool upgrade. Do different colour cars have different waiting times?
I love the execution of this idea. Having each light programmed on a button is so evil for effective traffic management. Got mixed up waaaay too many times. All in a good way tho!
Not sure if it would be too chaotic, but it would be really cool if the cars turned or had signals. Could imagine more levels with more lanes for that. Also pedestrians and crossing would be a fun addition. For some reason, I thought the train was something I had to manage, but it looks like none of the cars had issues with it.
But for a jam game, just by itself, it's done so well! Great lil' game y'all got!

Such a simple yet effective management style game. Things can quickly spiral out of control, especially with that blasted train! Well done! Aesthetic and music were solid and the mechanics & little details (honks and funny crash explosions) were fantastic touches.
Nice game, how satisfying can it be to click couple of buttons? Super satisfying! Great job!
Excellent game with a simple design that's easy to grasp. I particularly enjoy the ambiance and the country-western soundtrack. I might miss a summary of your efforts to stay engaged with the progress; it's quite challenging, especially with dyslexia haha.
Really fun and a pretty cool idea to be honest, I personally sucked at it, but found enjoyment in causing chaos haha.
Great job and congrats on the game!
Some jobs really need an system or AI to control because if i do this in real life, I think not many people would going into cross section XD. Survived 2 days. REALLY FUN GAMES. Can see myself recommending this to a friend when we want to play some games. Great. Job. Amazing. Props to both of you making it.
A-ma-zing. My first thought was to follow the simple strategy of just having diagonal green buttons all the time, but then comes the train and it messes everything up.
Nicely done!
This was one of the best games ive played in the jam. Super innovative and actually very fun and hard! Great game!
Simple and nice game. The music reminds me of Red Dead Redemption 2!
cool game and really well done. especially liked the scenery. you were right I definitely did get a bit cocky for my first 1 to 2 attempts and failed super early. enjoyed the management aspect though the train ultimately got me.
If you have the time would love for you to check out my game.
