Such a unique game! As a linguist I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a fresh of breath of fresh air among all the 2d platformers.

Wow, really well done! There are a ton of platformers with similar loop mechanics this game jam, but I think yours feels the best. I love how quick the spawning of each loop is. Everything feels really responsive and crisp. The puzzles are also very well done.

Nice little game! I thought I was all that after playing old man mode. Then I tried advanced and I really did feel like an old man. I love a nice little Pico-8 game. Well done!

Awesome game! Felt like a good NES game. There are lots of games this jam that involve a time loop, but yours is the most creative and enjoyable. The puzzles are good and I like the mechanic of playing the mandolin to accomplish various things.

This game is a perfect example of easy to learn, hard to master. You've got a really simple concept that is both fun and challenging. I really like your interpretation of the jam's theme.

Great game! It was tough without being unfair. It took me a bit to realize that some boxes didn't reset with the character. Once I figure that out, I had fun running the levels.

Possibly the most creative and best looking game I've played this Jam. Very fun and unique. Nice job.

Such a simple and fun concept! Very impressive this is what you produced in a 10-hour scramble. I really like the aesthetics. One thing I'd love to see added is a warning before a laser slides in from off-screen. There were a few times where it felt like one spawned directly on me near the edge. Some kind of blinking light or other warning would be great.

Nice foundation for a game! The rewind mechanic is cool. I'd love to see more puzzles. Great job using Pico 8.

This was great! One of the most creative games I've played during this Jam. The writing was good and I really enjoyed the narrative aspect. Some of the jokes and punchlines were a bit opaque--I basically did them by trial and error. I liked exploring the room for hints. Maybe something where the room changes slightly each iteration to provide more help/hints would be a solution.

This is a really good idea for a game! I'm a huge tower defense fan, and this kind of scratched that itch. I really like the customizable loot mechanic. A fleshed out version with a sleek (and non-buggy) UI and good balance is exactly the sort of game I'd buy on Steam.

This is a great foundation for a fun game. I had trouble with approval rating. It seemed no matter what I did, it just plummeted and I'd lose. A fully fleshed out and balanced game like this would be right in my wheelhouse.

I've played a few games like this where you generate clones/echoes through iterations of levels. This is definitely one of the better ones. I like that you have a narrative, and the puzzles are designed well.

A+ for creativity on this one! It took a bit to get used to the choppy movement, but once I got the hang of it, I started enjoying it. I found it a bit hard to see obstacles coming due to the overall dark aesthetic. I think some kind of contrast with the obstacles to make them stand out a bit would be helpful.

This was a decent platformer. You handled the incremental, increasing difficult really well. I would love some kind of buffer zone at the end of the level that prevents cars from spawning when you're right about to walk to the goal.

Nice job! I've seen several platformer games with the same echoes/clones idea, but you took it in a different direction with the playback speed adjustment. I really like the video playback theme you went with.

Precision platformers aren't typically my thing, but I enjoyed this. I liked how the controls felt. I never felt like I died because of poor character control. It was always my fault!

Simply stellar! I really like the Game Boy art style. You did an amazing job of fleshing out the mechanics and creating challenging puzzles. It's such a simple core mechanic, but you really thought about ways to stretch it and make it enjoyable and fresh. This is the best twist on the traditional snake game that I've seen this Jam (including my own!)

This was a really creative game. I enjoyed playing it. I would have loved a bit more info about my ship, such as a target reticule to show where my aiming was (it was difficult to his specific things, often my shots flew just left or right) and a reload timer/icon. I quite liked the control of the ship overall, though. It felt appropriately "watery".

You captured the feel of these frustrating little toys so well. This was a really creative idea for a game. I enjoyed the extra dimension of purchasable upgrades.

Sooo creative! Maybe the best take on the game jams theme that I've played so far. It was very well done overall

This was a really neat idea!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I love the idea of the red blocks have more of a penalty, or maybe having different types of penalty blocks that could appear. Regarding the sound, it should play a nice little beep each time the snake moves. I was worried about it being too loud and annoying, so I dropped the base volume down pretty low on the sound effect. I wonder if I put it too low and it won't be audible unless a system's audio is up high? I wanted to include a settings menu with a volume control, but I didn't have time.

Thanks! Yeah, I definitely agree about a way to start a new game immediately. If I continue working on this, I'll definitely include it.

Thanks! Yes, a quick restart is definitely something I'd include if I keep working on this game. I can't believe I didn't think about it.

Very cool concept. I enjoyed exploring and seeing how the world changed as I looped each time.

Thanks! The upgrades not resetting between each run is a bug. I've had other feedback on the difficulty, also.  It could have benefitted from another few days of playtesting to balance and fix bugs, but I simply ran out of time.

Very cool idea. So simple and fun yet challenging.

Very cool idea. I like the simplicity of it. It looks great and the audio is especially enjoyable.

Simply amazing. Not only hilarious and creative, but fun to play!

Clever idea for a game! I think it would be nice to have the same button both interact and drop things instead of using two separate buttons for it.

Nice job!

This is fantastic! It's such a clever idea and so simple but so fun.

Very creative game. The puzzles were fun. It was definitely on the hard side with how fast the enemies are and how easily you die. I thought you did a nice job integrating the tutorial into the game with the first couple stages.

Fun little game! The sound effects combined with the squat little character are perfect. I found myself hopping around just to hear the "BUH" sound.

This is amazing. More people need to play and rate this game. It's so simple yet so fun. The voiceovers had me laughing out loud. "My father was right about me." Really well done!

This is fun! I really love the retro style and it was legitimately challenging! It took a while to get used to the jump. I'm not sure what it was, but something felt a bit off. I think if the jump were modified a bit, the game would be more fun and less frustrating at the beginning.

This is a neat twist on a pretty routine genre. The menu was kind of janky, but once I got into the game it felt really fluid and overall it was enjoyable.

This is a really creative take on the jam's theme. The mini games you had were all fun, and I'd love a bit more variety. I could definitely see this being fleshed out into a robust, enjoyable game.
