I don't have a preference for art style as long as the art is consistent. I am still planning the game out and will change things based on what the artist deems is possible within the time of the JAM.
So far I plan on having dialogue heavy parts, minigames and some side scroller gameplay.

As long as you can do all these while making it seem like its part of the same game (same art style).

Hello, I am looking to make a visual novel game, which is dialogue heavy but also has mini games within it. I need an artist who can make artwork that is consistent (art style: pixel/vector doesn't matter). If you're interested let me know and we can go from there.

Also if you're are someone who is interested in story heavy games (choices/decision based) or are a composer, feel free to reach out. I'll take all the help i can get.

Now a confession: I was banking on the theme being "A love story" and was planning on a story based on that, but "everything went wrong" and now i have to figure a way to incorporate the theme.

I love story based games! It was calming
Things I would personally like to see:
- More polish

- Decrease boat speed to match the feel

- UI Texts aren't very appealing atm

- Add more characters/islands/story

I like the concept. Its like a pokemon game but you are the pokemon. This has a lot of potential. You can take the game in multiple directions.

Its good but an in game tutorial would have helped more. Such as displaying the objectives on the screen.

I think its better to add those after the Jam ends, since those aren't game-breaking bugs.

We had to slap on the ending due to us running out of time which may have lead to some disappointing ending/ misinterpretation of the message. We'll try to fix those when we get time. And thanks for playing!! Your twitch gameplay helped us see some problems.
