Art style with the story fit immensely well together, great mystery visual novel and I like the idea with the 2D-3D mix letting items stand out. Though there's not much detecting to do as your "senpai" holds your hand throughout the investigation

Overall, great work man

Thank you for playing! I didn't have time to make a better case or detective-like gameplay so I ended up with this, though it kind of connects with the title. I do have some more gameplay in mind, will implement in future projects!

Loved the aestethics! The mix of 2D and 3D was really cool. It would be nice if you could make each question just one time, or maybe have different answers from the characters if you insist on asking one specific question but overall I enjoyed the no-mistery. Well done!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed my game! That's a great idea, I would definitely add it if I had time.

Nice game! The art style caught my attention right away. The mix between 2D characters and interactables with a 3D environment is awesome and helps distinguish the elements in the scene.
The music fits well with the dark and mysterious atmosphere of the case, the story is engaging, and the dialogues add a lot to the immersion. Great submission!

Developer

Thank you for playing! The mix of 2D and 3D was meant to make important items stand out from the environment, and I'm glad you like it!

This game was incredible! The writing is so good and compelling! I loved piecing things together and talking to the suspects. The dialogue was fantastic, I love how each character felt unique and had their own personality! The story was great from beginning to end, the ending especially was a great twist! The art is absolutely beautiful, you've done an amazing job with the character designs. Please make more visual novels! You're extremely talented and this game was so much fun!

Thank you so much for playing! I really appreciate your kind words and support. I'm also excited to see that you enjoyed my game so much! I plan to keep making more mystery visual novels, so you can look forward to them!

As I've written in one game before, I'm not much of a visual novelist, and English isn't my first language. I liked the visual component of the game, and the music. The investigation elements also bring variety, but a lot of incomprehensible text does not allow me to fully enjoy the story.

Thank you for playing my game! I'm sorry if it is hard to understand. But I really appreciate that you still gave my game a chance, thank you very much!

Okay wow that was soo good.

A combination of 2D and 3D? that's what i did for one of my scenes.

The ending did leave me asking questions. Would have loved more content.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yes, I remember your 2D/3D scene, it was great!

Loved the aesthetic of this game! The monochromatic noir look really adds to the mysterious vibe of the game (and the twist at the end was a very nice touch!). I could easily see this being taken further, with a longer story and more interactables for the player to find! Overall, a very enjoyable game! Great job! (Also congrats on your first game jam!)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I'm really glad you enjoyed the aesthetic and the twist at the end! A longer story with more interactables are definitely something to consider for the future.

Good job for a first jam! Personally, I am not a big fan of visual novels, but this one was interesting to play (with an amazing twist)! Here are my suggestions:

1) Maybe it would be nice if the player collected all the information they received in some kind of notepad.

2) Maybe you should develop the theme more deeply, because now I don't feel it's implemented (but it's ok)

3) Maybe add different endings and motivate the player to find them all!

Anyway, good work!

Developer

Thank you for playing and for your suggestions! Glad to see you like it even though you're not a fan! I actually planned to add some kind of notepad/inventory feature but didn't have the time. I do think that is a must for mystery game!

Not usually a fan of a text adventure, but the fact that you could click to interact with things was really nice. Fantastic art too.

Thank you very much for playing!

Love detective stories!
Combination of 2d and 3d looks good. I wonder if it's because of the color palette and shading?

Developer

Thank you very much for playing! I'm happy to see another detective story lover and glad that you like the 2D/3D combination!

Really great work! Loved the art style, the gameplay was engrossing. Without saying any spoilers, the answer was too obvious I intentionally didn't pick it lol, ended up getting it wrong... Way to through me off the scent lol. Nice work! I love a good who dun it.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I didn't have time to make it more complex, glad to see you enjoyed it anyway!

I liked the mystery vibe of the game and the characters designs is anime style and really good. The writing is good too. There is plenty of choices as you play the game. Overall it`s a great game. I downloaded this game on my laptop and the gameplay its smooth.

Wow! Very cool game! I liked how 2D visuals make it feel like it's 3D. But I want to mention one thing as a player of your game. If someone is talking right now, you should somehow focus on him. Like zooming or making them lighter (like in my game). Becuase players usually don't read who is the speaker right now. So by this you would give them a visual cue.

Developer

Thank you very much for playing and for the feedback! That makes sense, I actually had to pay a lot of attention to know who's the speaker when I was checking my game.
