Ranked from 18 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does the game fit the theme?
The "Tower Defense" genre fits the theme of "Nothing Can Go Wrong" implicitly, but we wanted to design a Tower Defense with multiple defense objectives, where as soon as one objective goes down, the baddies focus their fire on fewer targets, causing a 'cascading failure' scenario.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Desktop Background and Fonts were not made by us. We provided references in the About section of the game, as well as on the itch page

Really nice game! Would love to play an updated version with more levels and turrets. As a note, the minesweeper seems to not be very worth it.

Developer

Thank you so much for your feedback! The minepeeper turret is actually slightly bugged, and we'll push that fix once the rating period is over. Hopefully that will improve it's usefulness!

It was fun, but short… I think the game setting has some good potential. Nice job!

Thank you so much!

Loved the user of the old desktop icons, very nostalgic. love me a good tower defense. I was able to get through without getting any damage, good vibes!

Great idea! I really like how you built the game's controls into the the whole desktop UI as well.

This game is so well made! There is a good level of challenge and it's really fun.  Nice job :)

It's a bit short, but I like the idea behind it! If this had more levels I would've kept playing for quite a while!

Great idea. I wished I could lower the volume of the game while playing.

Developer

Thanks for playing our game!

Volume controls are certainly something we can add, and will try to include in future jam submissions. Thanks for your feedback!

Really cool take on the theme and also on the tower-defense genre, I love how you can move everything in the game, your turrets and your weak computers, it gives the player a lot of agency and give the game so much more strategic depth!

Overall excellent job!

The theme is really great and I can see a lot of freedom of strategy by allowing to move every element before waves.

I'm not really good at it though haha and died early a lot. Great job!

I really enjoyed this one! A TD game I would have never dreamed of which works surprisingly well!

Pretty good game. I even managed to win this one.

Great game that combines computer nostalgia with satisfying tower defense. Being able to move the servers around is a great twist! I would have loved more content (towers, levels, enemies)! The drag and drop controls could be improved to feel a bit more responsive.

Thank you for the feedback! We definitely had ideas for other enemies and towers but didn't have time to implement them all this game jam. I'll definitely tweak the timing on dragging icons, we wanted to leave room for regular clicks and double clicks later on, so there is a slight delay before a click becomes a drag, but I'll definitely decrease that delay :D
