Very good game!!! I like the shop and progression system in it. It is rare to find it in game jam game.

Very cool game! I did a video review but it was late and I sucked, please have a look:
2:18:00 Speed Gunner
Played your game more than two hours. Realy enjoyable and addictive game. Music and sounds become repatitive after a while but there are buttons to mute so no complain :D Great job!
I liked this! I used the gun as a means to zip around the arenas faster. I thought the upgrades were a tad pricy on the first level, but as soon as I unlocked the second level I was off to the races. I liked fighting the snowmen a lot too. I liked having to decide going after a cluster of money vs. just racing to the exit. The music helped set the mood, especially in the first level. Good job!
Loved the use of 2D lights. It just gave me a feeling of danger. Upgrades were a great touch. I think it lacked some game feel due to how the guns reacted (Sound and impact) but other than that everything worked great. I liked opening chests by shooting at them "Open you dumb box!!". Hahaha! :D. I loved the minimalistic pixel art too. It was crisp and clean. Thanks for the game!! (That too for FREE!!!)
Please consider playing and rating my (FREE! 😂😂) game as well. I would really appreciate it! Thanks!!!
Ok, the game is great, good job. Here's my feedback:
- The shop screen is way too hidden
- Shooting at the chest to open them isn't very intuitive
- The Recoil seems to suggest that the weapon is powerful, but the sound, speed and the damage doesn't really respect that. Either reduce the recoil knockback or increase the damage and decrease the speed of the weapon
- The game doesn't pause when you're in the pause screen
- Give overall more feedback on the players action (when an enemy is hit, when you open a chest, when you take damage, etc.)
- You should add an indicator pointing where the exit is :3
A nice quick game to pass by time, music is great and fitting ,and sound design is very great, it gets very repetitive overtime though(understandable since adding lots of levels in a jam game is not really something anyone can do) The only thing i would recommend adding is adding an impact when the bullet hits the enemy, current thing is just the enemy flashing, i would like more feedback when the enemy gets hit especially when the enemy dies, it tells the player that they have accomplished something.
Really cool, I like the cute little sprites and I especially like the recoil on the gun, it feels like you can use it to make yourself just a little faster. Great game!
Nailed gameplay still intact with theme nice job!
Very polished, very fun and the menus look awesome, I love the extensive upgrade system. There was one minor thing that i feel like it wouldve made it better - the bullets didnt feel like they were hitting something. Other than that, this game is without a doubt one of the best ones i played this jam!
This game is great! Really clever use of the theme. I would love to see this expanded to have like a small town center where you can upgrade, maybe switch character kind of like Rogue Legacy, and then go into a dungeon when you get time on few different rooms in a row or you make a list of all the rooms you want to go to but if you die while in your list you lose all your gold. Fantastic job!
Thanks for the feed back and those are some great ideas for my game! I really dont want to punish the player too hard when when you die, so I won't be adding loss of all your gold. But I totally agree that I should add a small town center. I also (maybe) want to add a few more weapons, so as you can see, a lot will be on the horizon soon enough. Thanks again for your feedback and thanks for playing.
