Quite a lot of content for a week, congratz!
Interesting game! I enjoyed the use of the energy meter to power up the player more. The sound effects were nice and the game felt really good overall. I also liked how it explained what tool needed to be used for what, that helped to clear up a lot of confusion.
If you wanted to improve, I suggest making the tutorial text be a Gui overlay rather then just on the floor. It was sometimes hard to read like that.
Overall fun game!
One of the most fun jam game imo. Less health for more speed worked really well in this game.
I think enemy spawns should be far away from the place where player spawns, but other than that great job!
I really enjoyed your game. although I can't even defeat that giant frog
I love the art of your game and animations are great!
Really nice game, well done !
I genuinely REALLY enjoyed this game a lot! Crafting and fighting stuff is my jam. Only thing I'd recommend is easing the player into it a bit more. I have to start fighting for survival pretty much instantly. No time to craft some decent gear first. If that's by design, then maybe let the player attack with the starting axe, but low damage or something. I just wanted to explore and play a bit before having to fight. Overall, really great job though! Hope you continue working on this after the jam.
Wow! Really good! Lots of minecraft vibes.
i like the idea and art a lot awesome job!!
Really fun game! It's impressive that you built a whole survival game in a week. It would be nice if the items you unlock were attached to an inventory or you'd just be able to scroll through them rather than having to run to wherever they were on the map. The enemy spawns can be a bit punishing, on my first go I got place between like 3 enemies off the bat and lost most of my health. But these are small details you can iron out in the future, the game has really solid foundations! Great work! Keep it up!
I liked the gameplay but it was a little difficult with how the enemies were spawning, I liked the whole tool upgradation mechanism but got confused with a few things, mainly the skull but had fun. Good job!
Dang this is a really fun game! I wish it was a bit easier to switch between tools, and that the enemies had a bit more knockback and/or indicators when you hit them, but it worked more than well enough for a jam game! Fantastic job!
thank you!
I like the gameplay, but maybe it could be a little less difficult.
This game seems to have a ton of content, but I really wasn't able to make it far because monsters would spawn literally everywhere and having to pick up my sword from one spot every time I wanted to use it was quite frustrating. I'm really impressed with how much stuff you were able to get done, but I think some more time should have gone into refining the difficulty and a better way to switch between tools. Visuals and music were very nice. Overall, cool game!
Fun game, but my deaths felt very unfair due to the all-over-the-place monster spawning. They seem to spawn on top of me a lot of the times and it's just impossible to kill them all. Great game overall, needs balancing but I could see this being expanded and being put on steam or something.
Amazing game!
Wooow very interesting and entertaining. I really enjoyed this game. Also is very original between all the jam games I've already checked. The speed mechanic is very solid and used perfectly the jam theme. Really good job mate, greetings!!
The game has really cool art work and the music is also kinda good.
Don't know whether it has a day/night cycle because i didn't survive for that long in the game. The game needs a better combat system because this game has decreasing health over time which is not really suited to the game and killing the enemies does not give as much health recovery as it takes away so the best strategy would be to avoid the enemies entirely which i don't think is the aim of the game.
Overall nice game really liked it.
That was game jam pixel-perfect Minecraft!! I Loved it. It's just amazing. This should have taken a lot of work. The music was good but I think the whole game combined to become a full package rather than anything standing out more than the other thing. Thanks for this game! It was just amazing!
I liked the spritework and sound design a lot. The upgrades and resource gathering are well thought out. I had to turn on god mode because I was getting destroyed in combat. Also, the in-browser version was much larger than my monitor. Good submission!
thank you!
Hello.
I have some feedback for your game:
Important note: I saw your video, so I know a bit of what to do.
- Firstly, let's talk about altars. It is very likely that the moment you spawn, with literally NOTHING you'll find an altar and that altar will spawn an enemy that you cannot kill. Furthermore, even with the basic gear it'd be hard to kill because the combat kinda sucks. The biggest problem with it is that even if I stand near the altar for less than one second, it'll spawn an enemy! Geez, let me at least have some time.
- Secondly, the tools. I honestly found it incredibly awful that you don't keep your gear with you, so if you want to say mine something, you'll need to create a new pickaxe. Just let me keep my stuff with me. Furthermore, having to keep spamming the mouse button to break stuff is exhausting.
- Another problem is that while you are buying stuff the timer passes. Why can't you just freeze the freaking time!?!??
- Lastly, if I were to beat the game, how would I even know how to get the stuff to make the ship?! I only know it because you told me on your devlog.
Honestly, it's too hard and starting the game feels outright unfair.
thanks for the feedback! i realised late into development i awas spending too much time making new features than making the current ones feel fair. and for the tool bit i was rushed for time, i also thought it wouldnt be too annoying as in games like spelunky 2 it works the same.
