Fun game! Music could've used some variety, and sound effects would have been nice, but the theme usage and general concept were awesome! Maybe making it a little bit harder (more damage done to the player) would have balanced it a bit more, but it was still fun to work my way through the levels! Great job!

Nice game. I think a good improvement would have been to increase the damage you take. The game is nice but sometimes, I had to wait to get shot to loose life so I could go faster. Doing that, I still had plenty of life to finish the level. It's nice to don't have a frustrating game where you die over and over but I never felt threatened by the ennemies, which could have been nice.
Despite this, great job :)
Pretty entertaining game. However, I was able to beat all levels without firing a single shot towards an enemy, haha. There were times I also couldn't jump when on sloped obstacles. The music was also a bit much for me to handle, but luckily there was a way to disable it :) I also liked how I could navigate around the level essentially skipping parts by jumping off of enemies, or simply riding them to higher heights.
Nice job :)
The game is simple and fun. Loved your pixel art too. I would say, the music needed to be changed to something less pitchy. The enemies started to attack without even being visible on the screen. So, I just kept firing and guessing where they were. What I did to handle that was to attach a trigger box to enemies and allowed them to fire only when the player entered the trigger box. Rest it was a good entry. Kudos to you!
Please take some time to play and rate my game as well, I would really appreciate it! Thanks a lot!!
The game was fun, although I'd prefer if the enemies didn't shoot you until you could see them, and I think the music is a little repetitive, but other than that I had a good time!
I liked tha idea, but I think that the music is too repetive and the enemies shouldn't shoot at you when they are places milles away form you. You can add an action radius or a collider and check if the player is in it to shoot at them. Anyway I think that is a funny game, so good job!
The Game is kinda fun. It would have been more fun with some more player feedback like screen shakes or recoil.
The player really does not stand out from the clouds and sometimes even completely disappear and some of the beams are hazy and does not look good at all.
When you shoot i would really recommend you to show the bullet in front of the beam instead of it being behind the beam.
The music was nice but it got really repetitive after a short while.
The player speed was really low even when he had very less health. I would recommend making the player speed more and also start the player from a decent speed and lower HP which they can recover using pickups around the play area. Because of this, sometimes i had to intentionally take damage to increase my jump height so that i can clear the level. So, i was offered no choice in the matter when i should be.
Also i was unable to jump on the bent beams. It was really annoying when i pressed the button but nothing happened.
And finally, the ui is completely covering half the screen and as a result it's impossible to see what's ahead. And the camera angle is also so low that it's not possible to see what's below and hope there are no enemies waiting for me there to shoot me.
Besides these, the game was good. The theme was also used well.
Fun little game. It could use a lot more polish and some better music, but it was still quite enjoyable. Well done!
the game fits the theme, and is easy to control the character, the minimap is not necessary (in my opinion of course) i would make the enemies appear on the screen instead of being the majority of the time offscreen shooting you, and will add collision to the bullets to avoid enemies shooting you from the end of the map.
The only thing that i really didn't like was the music, thanks for including a button to disable it lol , other than that, i really enjoyed the game.
Fun little game! Enjoyed your simplistic art style, fit the jam's theme well. The shooting felt great and sounded really cool! I will admit I didn't realize why I was so slow until I took a second look at your game's description. Guess I was too good at dodging enemy fire because it was hard to jump far enough to make it to each platform with my movement speed, haha. Great concept though! Overall, good job!
It's pretty cool that the game gradually speeds up as you progress through the level and take damage. However I still think the player should be faster altogether. Also, 90% of the bullets in the game came from enemies that are off-screen and from random directions. The setting is interesting. Overall, a cool game.
Really nice job.
Great use of the theme and it was a lot of fun to play.
And things were balanced pretty well, it wasn't too hard. (I often end up making my game jam games too difficult...)
Awesome game :D
The idea was interesting, but I think it could've been executed better. The player moves at a snail's pace at full health. I end up taking damage intentionally just so I can breeze through the level. There could have been a risk reward factor but the player has so much health it doesn't really matter. The artwork could use some work too, try using more simple shapes and a color palette! It can go a long way. It's got some rough edges but it's a cool game overall.
Nice game, the world is cool and the different enemys are cool! Although the music is a bit repetitive but other than that its great! :)
