After i Saved and my Game and restartet it all the conten form my Chests and the water pots from the water purifier dissapeared the only thing that didnt dissapear was Coocked shark meat.

Hi I really like this game BTW. But there is an issue with the game graphics with windows 64bit and windows 32bit on my computer. The issue is I can see the well made graphics in the main menu but when I go to try and play the game parts of the water is invisible and the graphic of the water is very poor (just one shade of blue with no movement)

can't destroy cooking stations or water purifying stations, don't know if you are supposed to be able to or not. also sometimes when walking near cooking stations and water purifying stations he walks on top of them automatically without jumping on them.

It´s not really a bug, but in the "ReadMe" file there where you describe the axe, there you write "desrtoy" instead of destroy, right?

I just noticed that as i save the game. My items that are stored in the chest is gone. Also, When i remove the foundation to remove the water filter and cooker. I cannot fill the foundation back in when it is surrounded by other foundations. Thanks:)

I Now occured with a problem where the cursor would randomly disappear, and when i move the screen it comes back. And sometimes after performing a certian function, specially picking up water, refilling it, cooking it, and emptying nets, the game doesn't respond to the 'B' key where i can access to create stuff, and the hammer doesn't respond to my right mouse button being held down.i solved this by going to 'menu' and coming back, but it still happens and i don't want to keep exiting to the menu. :P
Great game, loving the beta build. hoping for multiplayer, where players cant kill each other.

So, my only problem is that once the shark bites a foundation piece with an attachment, (Wall, pillar.) the space is unusable until i restart the game.

This has been fixed now and should be OK in the next patch, thanks for reporting it to us

A workaround is to destroy the floor below. Then the item will disappear

Sometimes when loading a saved game all chests are empty, planted seeds are gone, tincans from the purifyers are gone, food are gone from the cooking stations and crops are messed up (See picture).

Hi, I searched in the comments but nobody seems to have the same issue as me so here it is: while I'm playing the game freezes completely and i can't move anymore so i go back to my desktop and when i open the page again, it's transparent but i can still see the name of the game in the top right of my screen. I'm on windows 10 and i tried both 32 and 64 bits games. Same problem. Could you fix the game or help me to figure out what's wrong?

Sorry i couldn't send you the file cause it contains some personnal info but i found this in it.

d3d11: failed to create vertex buffer of size 116640 [0x887A0005]
d3d11: failed to create index buffer of size 5556 [0x887A0005]
d3d11: attempt to lock null vertex buffer
d3d11: attempt to lock null index buffer

the last two lines repeat almost endlessly in the file so I thought it was the bug. I hope it helps you improve the game and thanks for answering me. (I have a GTX 560 Ti in case it has to do with the graffic card.)

This could be a result of a computer lacking storage space. Although since it's happening on multiple computers, my best guess is that the item portion of the world is failing to save properly. You could try reinstalling Raft, that might help. Hopefully the developers can get this fixed soon.

I dont think you have to but for some updates especially in this few phase of development there is no way arround. Some things are just changed that would have to be changed for every safe individually. So its virtually impossible.

If you would really like to continue you can play the old 1.03 version and just remove rename your saved file to "Sans" again.

You can locate the saved file here:
C:\Users\"USERNAME"\AppData\LocalLow\Raft\Raft\SavedGames

Remove "Oldsave-" from you file and open it up in V1.03 and you can continue if you want to. Sorry about this but we are very early and most like future updates will remove old saves for now

The old 1.03 save file that I own works fine on version 1.04!

This save file is starting to look f**ked up...

i have found that when i load a save all the stuff i have in planters, water purifiers and other resources in chests disappear. all planters,chests etc are empty of the stuff i have collected (i play the windows version)

I think I posted my bug report in the wrong place so you might find this twice, sorry. I cannot scroll through the crafting menu. I have hammer in hand and when I right click I can see the crafting menu but cannot get to anything other than window walls. I cant get to repair or the other parts of the menu. I have to exit the game to be able to place floors again, but same thing happens when I try to access the crafting menu.

When ever I try to open up Raft it doesn't respond and a little tab pops up that says "The game crashed. The crash report folder named "2017-01-04_124010" next to the game executable. it would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!" I am on a Windows computer.

Hello so i found out a bug from which i lost my best save :( :(

When you are in the water and you build a fondation on your own place the charecter will be buged under the fondation and you will die from fatigue this is how i lost my best save so please fix this bug thanks. :)

OK i´m not sure if this realy is a bug but coconuts cant swim, I placed my tree´s next to water and atleast one of them is allways falling into the water and I believe is not swiming because I never find it. Try your self maybe I´m just blind/stupid. Sry for my english.

when i'm collecting my resources from my nets and I fall into the water between the net and the foundation I'm not able to jump back up on the foundation and I die by the shark.

I have this chest UI bug, when the shark att the foundation that have my chest on it, i try to save my items in the chest but the foundation breaks before i transfer all of my items and close the UI, then the UI of 'that' chest stuck, then i try to make another chest its just cover the UI bug and when i close the last UI chest the bug UI came back. but restarting the game fix it. sry for my bad english.

-When my inbentory is full and I try some craftting, than it is missing

-build foundation need only 2 wood and one rope, but when try to fix it one wood only 10%!

Two questions:
1.I can't start the game it just says

"There should be "V1.04_Raft_Win64_Data" folder next to the executable

Is there anyone who knows how to solve it?

2. Will there ever be a possibility that I can play this game with my friends?

Just as it says, the Data folder must be next to the .exe file.

They need to be in the same location when running the .exe

I had a problem with the axe not properly destroying items, or destroying items behind my intended target. just had to rebuild the unintentional brakes and had to find the pinpoint on the correct items.
Also had a few problems where i was trying to place flooring above pillars and it was as though there was no pillar, except that in most cases i was able to place next to the same spot, from the same pillar and it would work, quick fix was just to destroy the current pillar and make another.

My game keeps on crashing every 5 minutes or so and i have to restart the game all over again.

Also, sometimes my mallet doesn't work and doesn't allow me to place certain things so i quit the game and come back on then it works.

After exiting the game and then starting it again all my chests were empty. All my palms were also gone and the potatoes too. Not the chest or palm-soil itself, just the objects to use. also, i can't harvest the palms who are new-grown.

You need to turn auto shutdown / power saving or something like that off. Has happened to me on other games until I turned that off.

There is a bug. When I craft items, (not sure if this happens on all, but at least on ropes) if I have for example 11 Thatches, it uses 3 instead of 2. For example: 11 Thatches. I try to craft 5 ropes. I get 5 ropes but the extra thatch disappears. It happens with 11 thatches, 13 thatches, 15, 17, 19, etc. It doesn't happen if you have under 10 thatches. Only 10+. Please fix so I don't have to gather extra resources always! thanks. ~pancor7

I was playing raft and I exit the game, later I came back and I saw that in my food chests there was nothing and I thought it was just a visual bug, I restarted the game and the chest was empty again, so I decided to Check out this bug on a new map, but I am playing since the morning and everything is correct, so I dont know, probably that bug just happened on the old map i had.

I really appreciated that some players read this and answer on the comments if someone had this bug too, and if the mods can fix it.

If you stand on the edge of your platform in the water you will begin a swimming motion. This results in the luring of the shark so you can easily attack and kill and you just back step and stab as it swims under your raft.

If you stand on the second floor of your raft and stand right at the edge of the floor making you drop slightly, you can use your empty can to fill with salt water making you not have to go to the main floor.

You are using to much RAM memory. Try restarting your computer in order to clear the RAM and do not have other programs open while running the game

Running the game on Linux (Ubuntu 16.04), I find that I have very little in the line of sound. Here's what I do hear, although very quiet:

Throwing the hook
A faint sound when I'm getting thirsty
A planting sound
Placing construction

Again, all of those are extremely faint. The shark attacking the boat is utterly silent, and I don't hear anything when I hit it with the spear either. The only way I know the shark is attacking is if I see it.

Not sure if it's the MAC version or maybe I've just missed something but I've been playing for a good hour and haven't had anything to go in the Cropplot. Unlike my palm trees which I have a tonne of and they're growing fine. I also had a small glitch on one of the shark's visit where I thought he'd jumped onto the raft, but he was just floating through the raft and then I killed it.

Update: The "press E prompt to plant and harvest" wasn't coming up because the Cropplot was slightly under some stairs. Got it working now.

Yeah I had the same problem. Better to put chests out in the open. Stairs seem to create an alternate universe where the E key no longer functions.

I was playing Raft and i fell into my Item net and the shark came and pushed me underneath my raft and the game would not allow me to move and I died due to fatigue and lost my save, if possible could you please recover my save, thank you and have a nice day

The nets have been configured and will hopefully not get players stuck in the next patch

I have a problem here. I just downloaded Raft for windows 32 bits. But when I start the game, and it opens the settings, the only resolution available is 320x200

How can I fix that?

This is game's output log (I was taking a look at the files to see if I could fix it):

The graphics quality works on Fantastic just fine, but if 320x200 resolution, which is horrible

Unity grabs the screens supported resoulutions, it is really wierd that it only recognizes 320x300. Have you tried it on another monitor?

Not sure if anyone encountered this before, but I ran into some bugs in planting potatoes. For some reason I cannot harvest it when the word "harvest" is clearly visible. After I discover this problem I realize whenever I plant anything, including palm trees and potatoes, I they disappear after I saved the game. Everytime I save the game right after I put seeds in the soil, they won't be there anymore when I reload the game.
The picture below shows I cannot harvest even when the word is clearly visible and I kept clicking it:

Hi! Not sure if this is a known problem but all my items from my 6 chests have mysteriously disappeared. Not sure what to do now.

Sometimes when you reconnect to the world, some stoff in chests disappear.

When you reconnect to the world the Water Purifyer will be b reseted so the finished water in the Purifyer will disapear

When you fall in the water and exedantly place a Foundation in the same time, you are stuck and its nearly impossible to break the foundation while stick between it and the water :c

Ok, so far I've read all bugs brought attention to by others, and ye:
1. lost inventories (except for those that were stacked in chests that I made during my FIRST play, saved with first saved game)

2. putting things under stairs (or placing stairs over sth) will definitely prevent me from using those things (i couldn't harvest potatoes, i couldnt open chest, i couldnt cook).

3. Already fixed by redownloading, but after my first download i couldnt open the game. I was informed about crash and error.

As i said, already fixed by redownloading, but you wrote that you'd be happy if we send you crash reports, so enjoy :P

What I can gather from the error report is that there was some problem when accessing a memory location. This can be caused by the program needing more memory than is available.

BTW. |Loot disappearing| Dunno why but this problem of disappearing things from chests is gone for me now; it used to disappear, as many people pointed it out, but now it stays safely (and i even learned to keep most value stuff with me when loggin out, achh, waste of tactical thinking energy ;) ). Glad it 'solved' itself, I just wanted to let you know, maybe it's random?

I was harvesting my potatoes but when I got to the last one it wouldn't let me grab it no matter how much I pressed 'E', I saved and reloaded and it didn't fix (I had 4 empty slots in my inventory.)

You can try opening the chest from 10 feet away and you can still take the items, i do believe this is a bug, but if i'm posting in the wrong part, then sorry.

Yes, this. I myself destroyed some foundations and i couldnt place new ones there, so i had to go around this one field and then i could place it

Hello raft developer, I was playing your game for about 5 hours (I love it by the way), and had gotten myself a pretty large base, had soo many items that I had to have 4 chests for wood, 4 for scraps, 4 for rope, 4 for thatch, and 4 for food (I have diagnosed OCD, that is why I know)(and also there were more chests for palm seeds and coconuts). I had built myself such a great raft and killed dozens of sharks, but I had to get off to go to bed, and I saved and went to the home screen, but as I was watching the camera rotate around that base, (my mind likes to be occupied) I thought of a great idea to put walls around the pillars to make it look good (and because I was wanting to use my materials so I didn't have to make even more chests) and as I loaded back in I noticed something, ALL of my chests were empty. Now I know it is an early access game and all, but it was gut wrenching, 5 hours of gathering materials just for it to all just disappear? now, if you could fix that in you next update, I will 100% play this again, I might even pay for it it is that good, I absolutely loved it, I don't know how you are going to add more items, but you were the one who thought of this awesome concept, I am pretty sure you can think of something AWESOME!!!

The error that gives me the game is that the screen is left in pink, I can only see if I'm thirsty, food and life, I can not see the sea or anything like that

Everytime i quit the game (saving ofc,) and then get back to the game, everything in my chest and inventory is gone including all the seeds i planten.

Now my whole collection of palmtrees and patatoes i planted are gone, and i dont have any seeds of them anymore.

I also lost alot of Wood.

Everytime when i start my game all of my things like water purifier, crop plots and all this stuff where you can put something in, is empty except for one chest. Please fix this bug. (Sorry for my bad eng.)

I dont know if this is a bug. but its really annoying.

So i placed some chests under a stair cause i didnt have much room in my house, but then i could not enter the chests cause they were under the stair.. so i just ripped alot of materials..

if this could be fixed it would be awesome

Each time i log back into my raft, items disappear from certain chests. I tested to see if it was a one of thing so i put scrap metal into the chest, logged out and logged back in and it had disappeared and it does the same every time

Sometimes when you are crafting an item, for example the net, if you click to craft more than one, quickly, it will waste the resources, but the net wont be crafted. Sometimes, is annoying, because, you are trying to build quick, and then you find yourself wasting resources.

I don't have an option to build a wall or stairs. I have the base crafting ability but nothing beyond that. Another bug I have is that when the water and food cooking thing are to close together it glitches by not allowing you to cook or pick up what is already there.

Hello, I'm not sure, whether it is bug or feature, but there is problem with saving, when playing game on Linux under the wine (I know, there is linux version, but for some reason it was terribly slow). Game won't quit or return to main menu because it tries to save game into folder /SavedGames/ and fails miserably since it doesn't have right rights (it needs to be root). After I manually created /SavedGames/ and gave myself right to write it works fine.

This is not a critical game breaking thing but if I use my second monitor for anything that has changing elements like youtube for example the entire screen freeze. I tab out of the game it goes back to normal

hello there...

I just found you game and loved the idea, played for a few hours.. and still addicted but i think i found a bug... so... i made a large raft... like 15x10 and after some time inallready had 4 water boilers.... i tryed to break them because i wanted to changed them to another spot... but couldnt do it.. so i came here and i read somewhere that the only way to take them was to break the foundation under them... and so i did it .. but after that i was not able to put anything in the same spot ..I break all the foundations from the edge yo the first i break (like a corridor) but didnt worked...

so i expanded all the craft to the opposite side so i could change the room, chests and crops, and deleted all the foundations from the edge again but this time ... all of them!

It worked...i replaced again some foundations and my raft was now created but not from the initial spot where we start the game with 2x2 .... with this i started to notice the things foating on water were just reaching in a corner of the craft and all the other nets were allways empty... i could see everything passing in the place i used to have my raft, my first one.... so.... i had to expand again the craft to the start point so i could get the things on the nets....

Sorry the bad english... portuguese here:)

Btw... miss the seagulls... :)

I have yet another bug.

I was going to use my hook when it did the throw animation while I was still charging the shot. It was there for a moment as I tried getting a screenshot of it. It fixed itself, I found it kinda strange but, since it was gone that quick I don't consider it that much of a problem.

On v1.04, I have encountered the bug where you cannot place walls around pillars sometimes. It was on an edge of the raft too, if that makes a difference.

Hi. The wall says it can provide protection. But the shark only attack the foundation every time ,the foundation broken down and wall broken too. The wall does't provide any protection at all!

I found a bug that is if you place down chests or crop plots (for trees or not) before your first save, when you save, if you place down anymore chests or cropplots, anything you put in them will be deleted upon the next save. This is a horrible bug that made me lose 2 chests full of wood. Now I'm low on wood. Anyway, please fix. Thanks :D

i have a problem with Raft (Mac OS X Ver. 10.7.2)

When i open the game it just show a Pink Screen I tried any Resolution and it didn't work...

Bugs i found

If you have planted a tree , and it's not fully grown , when you relog into your world , the tree will be gone.

I had more than 20 fully grown trees and when i reloged all of them were gone except for 2 that were teleported near my chest.

Sometimes your spear become a fishing rod , if you create another spear , you will still have the bug

Bug Report

When I was playing and my raft has been very nice and large, I do not save game data, because I've been playing for about 6 hours and I have not exit. Suddenly a shark attacked me, I hit the shark with spear, it died and I got the shark meat and the game crashes it says not responding, and I can not do anything, I can not take a screenshot, it freezes. and then exit it automatically and I opened the game again, all of my game arft of data is missing.

the main problem I have is that i cant have 2 selected games. When I start a new one and save it the older one dissappears...

I dont actually if this is a bug or a new idea for the game but please do something that persons can have seperate games at the same time.

There's also a glitch that if the water device is to close to each other then you can't access or leave the cup of water. You can press e but nothing happens.I have to make another can before I ever have a chance to collect the water even though there should be one cooking already.

Can't tell how it happened, probably spammed e too quickly, but a potato plant became unharvestable and the farm was then only 2/3 as useful. Not really a disaster but pretty annoying

I play on a mac and there's no way to change my sensitivity. And it's really hard to play because I'm not used to this sensitivity. It's super high. Can you make a settings where you can adjust some things?

i dont know where else to put this so im sorry im putting this in the wrong place but the game lags just enough to where it throws off my aim with the hook and it makes it hard to collect anything so i dont get very far in the game and it made me stop playing the game but i keep watching one of my fave youtubers play the game and it makes me want to play it i love the game but even with my school laptops hd graphics card well any way its a think pad lenovo it sucks ik but its all i got right now if you guys could make the game run smoother with as less lag as possible that would be great i really want to play the game but it lags just enough to where the game is not playable in a fun way but a frustrating upsetting way the game is fun if it didnt lag so please make the game run smoother please?

A new twist on the "Everything vanished from my chests, purifiers, etc. when I exited" glitch. If I have palm trees and potatoes growing near each other, palm trees will transfer to the spots where my potatoes are planted and the taters will be gone.

Just got this game, which I did actually pay a fair amount of money for, and can't play because of a bug that makes it impossible to switch items either with the number keys nor a mouse wheel. I have the mac version of the game, and its completely understandable that the game has glitches. Not going to lie though, it's kind of a frustrating glitch. I'm hoping it will go away if I delete my current save and create a new one. Fingers crossed!

Sorry, but both the Mac and Linux versions are extremly untested right now

I found a crazy "Fast running" Bug.

If you walk and hold the running key to run you will walk faster, BUT if you hold walk(w), sprint("shift") and [2 options :]...

[1]...and hold the button to move right(d) and move you mouse a bit to the left and adjust you movingway ...

[2]...and hold the button to move left(a) and move you mouse a bit to the right and adjust you movingway ...

... you will move even faster than running

This has been fixed now, thanks for reporting it

I've downloaded raft on my mac. I found out about the game on youtube and have absolutely loved the graphics and idea of the game. I was so excited to play it for free, but the water graphics were not there for me - he ocean had no graphics to it. Is this the real raft game? If not where can I find it?

This is the real Raft game. If you cannot see the water it is probably because you need to update your graphics card drivers and/or install Directx11 or above

There is a slight bug where if you fall into a net surrounded by foundations you are unable to get back out of it by jumping or even trying to swim under it, then the shark gets you and BAM you die with no way to escape. Also there is an issue where you cannot place walls around the staircase. You must first build your walls then place the staircase afterwards.

If you would like a full time tester please send me a private message i am also good at finding exploits and certain other things that could potentially be game breaking bugs Etc.

i am merely speculating here, but try a different resolution first, then start a new game, then save and exit, then when you start the game up again try the resolution you originally wanted. Just a quick troubleshooting idea.

One more thing i noticed was the hit box detection for destroying a placed item such as a floor or pillar is very small and quite often i will accidentally destroy an object close to it and not the object i am actually aiming at. For example i placed a pillar and needed to destroy it but instead accidentally destroyed the foundation two spaces ahead of it even though i was looking directly at the centre of the pillar.

Hey, thanks for giving us your report file.

We think that you have too little RAM memory for the game to be run smoothly and you seem to not have Directx11 installed either. Try installing Directx and see what happens.

well it should but i still have this problem well its rare and all but twice in a 30 min session is a lot for an error that was supposed to be fixed

and when it does happen i can just get out of the world and in again

We realised that it was not fixed fully, only a part of it was fixed.

The other part has been fixed and will be shipped with V1.05 and everything should work fine when placing floors :D

Hi! I have this problem that, if the sharks destroys a foundation with a cooking station or a water purifier on it, I can't place a new foundation. Unless you built all around it. I have also noticed that you can't destroy a cooking station/ water purifier unless you take the foundation away.
