Cool, the sounds really matched with the theme, the arts were beautiful, but the game wasn't really matching with the "roles reversed". I enjoyed the gameplay ^^

If you can please rate my game too

I have no idea how you've managed to finish such a polished project in just 48 hours but you somehow have made it! Stunning, thought through and fun! Lots of respect <3

My fav game from this jam! The artstyle is nice, the music and sound effects as well. There is a good amount of juice to everything you do and honestly I see the building blocks for a good game if you wish to go further with this project!

Cool twist. I like the minimalist but original style. Bravo!

Cool game! Its fun to play once you understand the loop of it.

I really love the art and character designs :)

Very nice game. Love the fact that you have to learn enemies bullet pattern to damage them. Art is fantastic, too! good job team!!!

This has some nice dual-purpose design, great art & presentation and is overall pretty fun! good job!

Cool game! I really liked the art style and the mechanics of game! I didn't get if there's a way to know how much remaining health has the enemy-hero. I'm so impressed about how much polished the game is.  Awesome job!

Potentially fun, but being able to kill yourself by placing enemies is a bit unfair.
As well as mana runs out really quickly and then its just kind of a hassle to get it back.

Cute sprites though. Presentation is good. Gameplay just needs some more polish.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! That's a valid criticism and you're not the only one that feels that way. My focus went from summoning to bullet-hell midway through. If I remake this game I'll be sure to balance those two aspects more and maybe remove the possibility to make yourself lose or at least make it feel more fair.

A really enjoyable take on the genre. I likes the cohesive art style and the tutorial was a nice touch. Great submission!

The art is sooo so good, I'm really impressed, great job! The game itself is also really nice, the idea is clever and execution is decent. Overall, really solid entry, definitely one of my favourites so far. Well done :)

the art is so good, and the mechanics feel great. I wish there was an indicator for the direction of the mana rock when it's off screen, but honestly this is a stunning game given the 48hrs you guys had. awesome work!

Developer

Thanks! I totally agree that there should be an indicator. I actually wanted to add that but I was a one-person team running out of steam by the time I submitted this game. I'll put it on the list of suggested improvements!

Very fun! Love the art style! Nice to see someone else using Gdevelop

Thanks! Despite its quirks and limitations, I love using Gdevelop for game jams. It really lets me focus on the art since it's so easy to use.

What a beautiful game! It feels like a completed production where the graphics, audio and controlles are fine tuned. Like you mention, a bit more fine tuning of the gameplay, such as more variation in the challenges, upgrades etc would make it perfect. Still, the most professional feeling game I tried so far this game jam! Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'm happy to hear that because I was also thinking that this is one of my most finished feeling projects. It's definitely a top contender if I ever want to turn one of my jam games into a full release.

There has been an absolute abundance of minion management games in this jam, even reverse-survivors takes on it specifically, but this is an outstanding approach to the concept. The ward-area around the "heroes" presents a unique threat and a tangible form of progression that a simple life bar wouldn't. Ina's physical presence makes the player feel, well, present!

Also Ina is very cute and I want to give her a hug.

Edit: Checked out your profile after rating this, it seems that we're cut from pretty similar cloth :p

I'm happy you enjoyed it! I thought I was being clever when I came up with a reverse-survivors not knowing it'd be a popular idea. It's good to know that I stand out though.

I had a look at your profile too and I'd say you're right, we've got a lot in common!  So I followed you too 。◕‿◕。

A pretty cool entry, the 20 Minutes Till Dawn style art direction hyped me up second 1 !

woahh really good mechanics and art!! I feel like Ina accelerates a little slowly which makes it harder to do precise movement around bullets

Developer

Thanks for playing! Perhaps I had just gotten too used to the acceleration while testing to notice. I could play with the value of the acceleration some more if I update this
