This is a very unique take on this kind of idea, good call on death not resetting the whole game.
Very cute art and love the idea of taking enemies bullets/attacks and using them against them :D
Adding in sfx/music would make it even better as you said on your page.
I also had trouble with controlling the projectiles, not sure if I misunderstand how to do it?

Thanks for playing! Controlling the projectiles definitely seems to be the part people struggle with the most, so if I update this I'm going to spend some more time fiddling with it. From the feedback I've gotten I think it might help to indicate the direction that the projectile is moving, even if it's just a single pixel dot that points in the direction.
I can really see where this game is going, and I love it and its concepts! I would really like to see this polished and expanded <3
This is awesome. Love the shift of controls from player to projectile steering. Really clever and well executed~ I think adding some roguelike upgrades would make this even more fun (if further developed). Nice work!

Very charming and creative game!<3 When I played though my window was really really small. I don't know if it's Godot or the game or just my computer though.
Thank you! Yeah the resolution is tiny so the graphics would be pixel perfect, but I should have made it automatically go fullscreen
Nice entry! It feels really satisfying to play, and the art looks really nice. I think the controls on the projectiles are a little awkward, though; they turn a little too fast. An arrow pointing where they go might be nice. It's a shame there isn't any audio, I'm sure it would have been great. Good work!
Thanks for playing and for the feedback! This is really helpful since I was fiddling with the projectiles controls for a while, and it seems like that's what people have the most trouble with. Having more of an indicator for the direction is actually a really good idea.
Nice concept, and the character has some very satisfying controls! It's a shame that the projectile control mechanic completely locks you into place. One way to get around that would be to separate player and projectile control, and maybe letting the character move, but slowly. Aside from that, the graphics do look very good, and despite the lack of sound, the visual feedback is translating the action very well!

Thank you very much for playing and for the feedback! Having complete control switch between the player character and the projectiles was part of my main idea for the game so that you would have to manage your time spent as the player and the projectiles, but I agree that it can sometimes be awkward. One idea I'm considering is just forcing (or encouraging somehow) the player to release the projectile early because that would make the player be in control more often. Also I think it's more fun to play that way because it's satisfying to hit the enemies from a distance.
I thought the idea was very good, the movement of the enemy is beautiful, if you go forward it can become something very fun and more complex.
I felt a certain difficulty in moving the projectiles, I don't know if I'm doing it wrong.
