Love the idea, it matches the theme perfectly and it's pretty creative. Also love the gameplay, it is not easy at first but very enjoyable indeed!

Thank you so much!! :)

I quite like this game! Definitely a good take on the theme, and the constant managing was a good challenge!

Thank you :) I'm very glad you enjoyed it ~

Solid presentation, and fits the theme very well. I found myself pretty much exclusively moving the archer, so I had to change up my strategy to get a little deeper in the game.

Developer

Thank you for playing and commenting!

It's interesting to see a lot of people focusing on the archer initially. Personally I end up moving the tank the most to block arrows and attack the archer's target.

If you have time to respond, did you end up getting to the "kill the adventurers" stage?

This was a lot of fun. Fits the theme of the jam well. Fun challenge to try to place the party optimally. Simple drag and drop controls. Thank you for making a cool game.

Thank you so much for playing it!

Oh this is neat! It would've been very easy to make this 'you control the enemies' but I like that the hero roles are inverted instead, strong take on the theme!

Best bit for me is the Ranger; the other two didn't quite feel like full inversions but the ranger's healing arrows still being fired at enemies really works. Good job!

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback :)
Regarding the inversions: I was afraid it wouldn't translate the theme as well as I'd hoped. Because of that (and to reinforce the theme), I made it so you have to kill the adventurers at the end of the round (with an evil wizard & abilities) AKA the roles reversing, but it seems I've made it too difficult to actually reach that phase.

But I appreciate you playing my game and commenting :)

Oh, haha, yeah, I never reached that bit! I wouldn't doubt it too much though; game jam prompts are intentionally open ended and, for my taste, I much prefer the more literal and/or creative takes. Having the key definitions of a class' Role be Reversed is a perfectly cromulent interpretation.

Love the concept. Could ease the difficulty curve a bit but aside from that it’s a pretty fun experience!

Developer

Thank you!! You're right though, this current build is quite harsh, I would've made it a bit more forgiving if I had more time~

Enjoyable concept, would've been cool if the roles had've been different everytime rather than always the same, still enjoyed it :D

Developer

Thanks heaps! That's actually a very good idea - I might end up doing that if I keep working on the game :)

Fun concept, needed some more visual feedback on the damage, but the idea is easy to get a grasp of (and I love that intro which just changes up the text, hahah). Good work!

Developer

Thank you very much :) I agree with you about the damage feedback, it was on the to do list but I didn't have enough time to implement~

This was pretty clever idea. having to move the archer in such a way to hit other unit was a very interesting mechanic. in the end the healer got me... this was really solid 👍

Developer

Thank you :) I appreciate your kind words ~
