Really cute idea and cat sprite

It takes some getting used to but the the blending of a typing speed game with the endless runner was strangely engaging

You can tell what a girl's personality is by the way she introduces herself, that then determines which responses she likes.

Are there any sounds more pleasing than a cat's purr? I don't believe there are.

Chrome Dinosaur Game's prettier cousin.

If only real retail customers exploded like that...

The three wire traces really makes me think of the strings on an instrument, almost like the visuals are begging to be a rhythm game.

There's a surprisingly engaging rythmic feel to the dash and how it curves along with movement

You generally don't get too many RTS games in shorter jams like this, much less one that feels this nice. Good work!

I can't say I would have seen this take on the theme, needing to memorize something like a level layout quickly. Nice job in surprising me

This is proof that representation makes art better <3

I've never skateboarded before, but this feels exactly how my mind imagines it, tricky but oh so satisfying.

There's certainly no shortage of endless runners in this jam but I'll be damned if this isn't one of the best. The movement has a unique feeling to it that out and the all around audio-visual presentation brings it all to the next level.

I think I almost enjoyed it more without shooting, just purely focused on dodging, which is definitely something that's worth exploring more

I only wish you could see the multiple instances of different toppings pile on top of one another

I wanna learn more about the green fireball rats.

Why does your mentioning of the secret cow level make me feel like such an oldhead? You get points for that alone.

Truly a worthy successor to not having an internet connection with Google Chrome.

I'm so autistic oops. The writers basically modelled Phoebe's dialogue on me so i dunno if you could have guessed 😅

Make sure your line ends close to where it began (you'll see a circle light up around the area you'll affect) and try stuff - paying attention to the crossing counter above your mouse

I hope this is a positive reference, I'm not familiar.

Very very interesting visuals, the character designs are really nice - I always appreciate a contrasting pair of characters.

It's intentional, crossing count is the only thing that matters, Phoebe's tutorial is only meant to show examples of knots that will work.

I wonder how many of these time loop puzzle games are consciously or subconsciously inspired by the goat skull puzzles on Amphoreus in HSR.

I always love a good foddian game and the curled up defensive posture of the player character when taking a big fall is such a good alternative to the classic ragdoll that I'm shocked that this is the first time I'm seeing it.

(1 edit)

Combining two of the more common takes on the theme into one game does make for some interesting potential, if one half of that equation is a little under-explored cause of time constraints.

I would die for Maby

This could have just as easily been about threading a needle, but I'm glad that we're threading a weirdly sticky goofy ahh snake instead.

I see what you did there, french for wolf.

This feels like 2023's theme applied to all of the spaceship-in-orbit asteroid avoidance games - once you get the hang of gravity, you really feel like this scuttling little creature punching way above her weight class, very sonic the hedgehog.

Yeah the tutorial repeats itself when the waves reset to the beginning, it's all just one "!" where it shouldn't be, been ironing out kinks like that in between rating submissions for a post-jam update.

Funny you should say that, because a Pythagorean wizard using knots to cast spells was one of the first visual/narrative ideas we had for the knot drawing premise - so much that Phoebe and Tau are supposed to still be sorta "magical scientists" even if that doesn't come through too clearly in the designs (what else can you do when you're designing and drawing them at the end of a last day sprint?).

Birdlynn is such a doll, anybody would be lucky to make her acquaintance.  I only wish there were more time and space to watch her fly along, and maybe more wind-y effects around  your line to really seal the concept in.

I felt like Circuitry and PCBs were an underutilized inspiration this year, I'm happy to see such a well executed take on it.

I like to think they're racing

Though the simple catharsis of earning some time off for one's self is corrupted for myself personally since I took time off work to do the jam this year, this game better than any other captures the sheer insanity of mundanity in a way that speaks to me so painfully true.

Pokemon rangers casts its shadow wide over this jam with all the drawing games, but none feels more like an actual spiritual successor than this one, and certainly none so beautifully.

By god it feels terrible not knowing how to fly, but by god it feels so damn good to do so, mastery is its own reward here and I kinda just want to fly around doing loop forever

Racing against your past self as you get more and more capable yet less controllable is a very interesting feedback loop, super gorgeous and a real treat - controls could be a bit tighter but it's not the end of the world by any means

I had a huge fixation on Norse mythology in high school, particularly wrt Loki and their children, so this speaks to me on a pretty deep level, especially the framing of Loki's family as something more than "end game ragnarok threats" which most media and adaptation seems to overly focus on.

The very excited very booming voice  sells it.
