Very impressive for a 48h-game. There seem to be a couple glitches with collisions and such, but overall very polished and enjoyable. Congrats!

The game-feel is spot on, managing the dice did a good job of giving you that real life good feeling of rolling dice, it was legit fun in a way that's hard to describe just to pick up new dice and roll them.

Plus, remembering to equip the correct die ahead of time before jumping on the platform where the enemy could attack you kept me engaged.

My only nitpicky concern is that if you don't roll high enough to actually beat the enemies on screen, you can't win. So it just feels like its a binary you win or you don't scenario. Maybe if you could still reach the goal but the enemies were much easier to deal with if you can defeat them would help?

But all in all, a very impressive game. Well done!

Very nice! I like the designs and colors. Very cute :)

Also like the mechanic. The little inventory management about what dice to keep and how te reroll is a really cool idea. I can already see a full game where you have to get odd or even dice for certain monsters or something like this.
Only feedback is general game feel polish. Navigating the menu can drop some inputs sometimes. But definnetely very cool game :)

Cute game! The arts is super good.

I feel like it would be better if die just took one roll whenever you put it into the inventory, as it would make controls a bit easier. But I love that you've included an inventory managment element in your game. Good job!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Very fun and pretty platformer! It took me some time to get used to the inventory mechanics and, as others have said, I think it could be improved to make the gameplay smoother. Other than that I can't believe this was made in Scratch, I would have never guessed if not for the green flag to start the game. Cool to see that you plan on continuing this after the jam!

I like the idea, you guys did a great job. it has good graphics, music and levels, it was a very daring project for 48h.

I played until the end and found it quite fun. I think it's worth you to continue the project and add more mechanics and phases. the only change I would make would be to make the walk less soapy, but that's a fine adjustment, it didn't affect the gameplay at all.

Congratulations =] and thank you for playing my game too

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Haha... It was even more daring because it was just me working on it... Anyway, I'm planning on adding at least 3 new worlds full of awesome dice-themed levels and new enemies, so stay tuned for that :)

wow, I can't even imagine how you managed to do all this in 48 hours alone! well done! good luck =]

It really looks like you put a lot of work into this and you really care about this game, from just the creativity and fun gameplay to how you respond to literally every comment :) Also, this is really polished and it feels finished. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I also try to check out all of the games submitted by the people who comment :)

Yea! I noticed you played mine :)

nice graphics, but slow animations and as if slow fps

Developer

Thanks for playing! The slow FPS is probably because of other large tasks running on your computer. I can't think of anything else that could be causing it...

Submitted

no, this is not related to my PC, I think it is related to the engine, rather it is not low fps, but rather the game seems to slow down

Developer

Very strange... I haven't been able to reproduce this effect. Sorry for the issues!

Very cute design. The menu system felt a little clunky and slowed down the gameplay a lot. Had a lot of trouble in level 2 getting the box across the bridge. It kept getting stuck. Nice job otherwise!

Nice retro style. Every mechanic is introduced separately, so player has time to learn them. The inventory interactions were for me too slow, but that is maybe a part of the design so player couldn't fire roll almost as soon as he/she gets to to chest.

Developer

Thanks for playing and commenting!  After the voting period, I am planning to streamline the inventory system by adding options for auto-equipping dice and auto-closing the inventory after equipping a dice.

Submitted

Yes that could help a lot

Lovely art and smart twist on the theme. I only felt like the roll-equip-throw menu & mechanic was slightly over-complicated. I kept getting confused and would have preferred only having one dice in hand and the other as unrolled ammunition.

I've not used Scratch before, but putting together 3000 blocks sounds terrifying and incredible! I found the controls for interacting with the dice a little fiddly but it was a fun and responsive platformer.

Everything about this was incredible. My two issues. 1. Controller controls were not great, they felt like more of an afterthought, and music gets a little bit annoying.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I will add input remapping for controllers after the voting period.

Nice game, nice music. I admire the fact that you managed to make platformer responsive in such a short time.

Developer

Thanks so much!

It's an interesting idea! I think maybe it would be better to allow the player to roll the dice just once, and then you would have to improvise your approach against the enemies.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback... I was actually planning to incorporate something similar.

Super cute platformer; the art was awesome and the mechanic was fairly solid.

I think the controls could do with being a bit slicker- I always had to retreat to somewhere safe to sort out my dice as I could never do it quick enough on the fly.

Had a lot of fun getting to the end :)

Fun little platformer. I think navigating or remembering buttons at certain points seem unnatural at times, but overall easy to manage and pickup.

Charming graphics, the game is fun! The music and sounds make a perfect combo together, sounds a bit like the Game Boy. It is a excellent game!
