Your game is great, keep up the good work. The idea can be a bit more engaging tho. One thing I'm gonna point out, your game's audio is a bit loud just like mine lol. Also, is the art from an asset store pack? it looks oddly familiar.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Yeah the pixel art is mostly based on a Unity 2D Roguelike asset -- it's been heavily edited and added to.

good game.

Glad you liked the game! Quite often people rate and leave a comment on a jam game without actually downloading and playing it, just so that they can get others to play and rate theirs; makes you think how generous they are with their ratings, doesn't it?

Anyway, thanks again.

So true lol... I feel like there must be a way to make it so that people rate fairly :)

Nice game, I like the combo bomberman / Roguelike. Just add some troubles understanding what to do at first (I didn't see the exit) and ran into a bug where i had to restart the game everytime I lost. Otherwise, nice sound design, nice graphics, great job.

Developer

Glad you liked the game!

The exit can definitely be a bit clearer. If you mean when you die it doesn't present any clear option and you have to use ESC, well that is just me not thinking of it as I ran out of time. Definitely needs to be fixed. Likely will as I find the bomberman + roguelike a compelling idea

Yes i was talking about the exit from the level. Not the restart when you lose :) Good job anyway !

This is just the Unity Roguelike tutorial with some minor changes like background music.

Developer (3 edits)

No it is not -- you have clearly never played what the tutorial series creates, nor have you played what I created with it. The AI movement is overhauled -- they actually move about the level now -- as are how turns work -- major bug fixed and now much faster. It has new mechanics such as air along with food, there are also explosive charges that work like those in bomberman, there is ammo for shooting, There is now a loot drop system, so enemies can drop things along with crates you can get randomised loot from. The way the audio is handled is overhauled, as has the way the levels are generated, there is now a menu system... Etc. There are a lot of code changes I did not track along with all the pixel art edits I made and audio I added,

If you rated it poorly because you think it has only had "minor" changes, then I look forward to rating yours likewise.
