How does your game fit the theme?
We thought that it would be interesting to limit what actions the player has to control the board by giving them randomly rolled numbers. It was important to us, that rolling a 1 wasn't "better" than rolling a 6 - we wanted the players to have to adapt their strategy based on what dice they rolled.

The whole presentation for the game is astounding, good job guys! The experience is smooth and the music goes along nicely with the puzzle solving :)

Developer

Thank you so much, we're glad you enjoyed it!

I love the idea, art and the music is catchy too! It was very fun to strategies how i should use my dice to get the best result. The only comment i really have is the fact that blobs wander between areas over time. I think that it would've been better if the blobs stayed in their areas after each turn to make it more reliant on strategy rather than luck or waiting. Other than that great job!!!

Developer

thank you so much for the feedback! this is a genuinely great idea, because it also would have been way less annoying to program and it would have been way less stressful to play the game, so I'm actually really sad we didn't do that. glad you still liked the game!

Cool idea! I like how you are given 4 dice per round, so you have to think two moves at a time or you could end up getting stuck with a bad move on your second set of dice! As others have said, tooltips and highlighting which blobs would be affected would be welcome changes - unless obfuscating that information from the player is part of the design? Do the blobs wander between areas over time?

Solid foundations, and the presentation was lovely. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the comment! Actually, it wasn't really our intention to obfuscate that information, we just kinda didn't think of how to present it more clearly at the time :) Glad you liked it, though!

This game concept is quite nice, it was a bit hard to remember what each dice number did and there was no text saying what number 6 did, other than that I had a fun time playing!

Developer

thank you so much for the comment! I actually didn't realize we hadn't added a text for the last one, it probably got lost in photoshop formatting) thank you for mentioning that! (6 does the opposite of 5, so if there are more red blobs than blue ones, the red ones turn blue and vice versa). Glad you still liked the game!

THIS GAME'S ART IS AWESOME. i find it really cute. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Your comment absolutely made my day :)

the game has a cool mechanic but it is quite hard to use correctly i know i am supposed to put the dice in the area slot to choose where to act on but the actions were quite confusing

also i crashed the game, it was probably a bug but you can spawn an infinite amount of blobs (until it crashes of course)

otherwise, this game has a cool concept and the visuals look very nice, the music was quite cool too

Developer

thank you for the feedback! yeah, we probably overscoped a bit bc so the game is a bit hard to understand and has some weird bugs we didn't catch, but I'm glad you still liked it!

Submitted

Very clever design. Harder than it seems, but the tactical/strategy aspect is really cool. Though it's sometimes hard to read how many blobs are in any given area and even which of them are (since they're constantly moving around ;))

Developer(+1)

thanks so much for playing the game! and tbh, yeah it's kinda hard to see where the blobs are, maybe we'll fix that sometime :) thank you for your kind words!

Very cool! I didn't fully understand what was going on and why but I enjoyed the experience. Excellent visuals and audio!

Developer

Haha, thank you! We know that we did not do the best job in communicating what is going on. But I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)

I see the strategic potential of the game and am excited about it, but it is difficult to play. The dice are on the edge, so I can't see them at times. All the dice should be at the bottom of the two holes to vary them more quickly. Also, the bugs should have numbers or something. I love such population games!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! Putting the bottom instead of the right would have actually been a great idea, it would solve multiple problems at once. Sadly we did not have enough time to playtest long enough during the jam. Glad you like it!

Small, but really fun game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! :)

Bit confused in starting "action" sign is pretty confusing, art and level is looking very good, also the music is was perfect. Found hard to drag the dice each time could be modified. Very different than others.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for the honest feedback! Yes, we definetly need to rethink the layout of the elements and dice. I'm so glad you like the music, because at first we really didn't (but we had no time!!!) haha.

Submitted

Fund concept! I somehow got confused and didn't realize who was good/evil until quite late. Would have been cool if the dice were thrown closer to where you needed to drag them :)

Developer(+1)

Hi, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, we really struggled with the good/evil thing, that definetly need to be indicated in a better way.  And yes, dragging the dice can be very frustrating, especially when the blobs are about to leave their area haha. Thanks agains!

Cool game! and excellent idea!!

Developer

Hi, thank you so much for you comment! We're so glad you like it. :)

The game especially the art looks very polished! Love the idea of using 2 dice to do multiple actions. Great job!

Developer

thank you so much for playing our game and taking the time to give feedback! Glad you liked it :)

Creative idea, which is always refreshing. Art style and music was a good fit for the game. I especially liked the strategic aspects of the game. I develop on Mac, so I had to test this on a crappy Asus laptop with an even crappier touchpad, and keyboard controls would’ve been nice (dragging the dice across the screen was quite cumbersome). Good job and congrats on finishing the Jam!

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! We'll definetly consider adding additional controls and making the dice movement a bit more easy to control if we ever continue working on this. Also thank you for the info, I lowkey forgot to make a mac build :( Glad you liked it, though :)

Totally agree with feedback below especially about what a nice job you did, the QOL of swapping dice, and the huge need of  tooltips ;P I read the description AFTER playing (btw wow at that detail) and.. well.. seems I got most of them right without the tooltips, but I felt much less of a nerd not knowing what my skills do and I didn't like that xD

Very creative entry, made clearly with care. Superb job and congratz!

Thank you so much for the kind words!

really cool! i really enjoyed this game plus the art is beautiful! i would love to have a tooltip explaining the actions at the left but once you learn them its pretty cool!

Developer(+1)

thank you so much for the feedback! also yeah, you're right they really should have had a tooltip. glad you liked it!

Wow that was really polished! Surprising amount of depth for a 2 dice turn. Liked the board and the visuals too. Great work!

Models look great. The music definitely works. And a nice game concept to top it off.

Some suggestions: I found myself pulling up the action descriptions a lot, tooltips or something could have been helpful. Could just be me, but I kept wanting action on the left side like "Take x action in y place", and it's a little cumbersome to swap the two dice around. I also got the feeling that the dice are a bit far from the activation pads, but they really don't have to be.

I especially liked light up effects and the map sections. It was cool to see the prior versions of that. Nice work overall!

Developer

Hi thank you so much for the feedback! I absolutely agree that the UX design is a bit lacking at the moment and controlling stuff can be a bit tedious. We'll consider adding your suggestions after the jam! Thank you for taking your time to play our game and for the insightful suggestions :)

creating this entire game with just 2 people is no small feat! It's really cute and really fun. I love it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We did work very hard and since it's our third year we (sort of) have a little experience. I'm so glad that you like it!
