Thanks a lot for playing and the nice review!

By any chance do you have a controller plugged in with drift on the right stick? Since you're the first to mention this camera bug that's my suspicion. (also I have a controller with drift and I've been through this issue before)

Other than that, thanks for giving it a shot anyway!

Always appreciate a good pun!

Thanks for the backhanded compliment!

The mechanic of jumping from planet to planet is pretty easy to implement as this was done. Maybe some next project :)

Thanks for the great review!

At first we went for some "earth planet" covered in blood, then changed to moon... and just didn't change the texture =p
Yeah, gray would've been better!

Thanks for the kind words!

Ah! Now I get why they said "trash the game" on Discord :D

Yes! I will release a new version with hostile bugs (among other fixes) soon. Thanks a lot for playing!

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, when the ship's meter is full it's supposed to end the game, I'll take a look :)

Yeah, I wanted to code twin-stick style controls for this one, but it did feel a bit jank with the mouse. Thanks for the compliments!

I'm very glad you liked the perspective, that was hell to code and make work for a "full 3D sphere"! (quaternions, conversions, despair!)

Great suggestions! Thanks!

I spent a LOT of time playing this!

Great music, funny victory tune.

Bit weird to always have to move a card, not much game breaking. A skip button would be helpful, once I got soft locked with all stacks full and couldn't place a new card.

I'm just mad I got to the end with a horrible deck and now can't see the ending. Maybe a way to go back up would be cool!

Good job!

Props for the writing!

Ah, yes, the moonwalking vampire!

The close-up camera makes it hard to predict the knight, which might be a good thing. Pretty tense atmosphere. Fun!

*Also I noticed it starts on night 0 on the top left, a programmer alright! :D

Oh really solid idea on the craters! Yes, this is lacking a lot of polish and balancing. I'll still work on this a bit more so some changes are incoming. At least the promised features :)

Really appreciate the comments on the story and setting, that was the main focus.

Thanks for playing!

Oh! OK! What a nice.... bike store... sim... yeah!

Game Title/URL: planetCharge

Pitch/Information:  Out of energy, you emergency landed on the dark side of the planet; Setup solar panels and power poles to bring energy back to your ship.

For this jam I wanted to learn how to recreate a Mario Galaxy style "walking on a small planet" mechanic.

I'd like feedback on: Ideas on 'puzzles' or what to do with this planet and energy mechanics. Or how to motivate exploration.

Thanks for the feedback! I've polished this a bit post-jam (including sounds) in case you want to take a look :)

Thanks for the suggestion! The spawning of everything was just done randomly for time. I see how that's not balanced :)

So the mechanic is that there's a battery meter in the robot's TV face (which ended up not very visible)

Thanks for playing!

Yeah! Animation cancelling got chopped for time but it was the idea.

The battery meter is in the robot's TV face, but I admit it's not very visible :)

Thanks for playing!

C'mon this isn't a jam game, this is a really fun SNES rom ya'll just submitted! (I'm kidding)

But I'm serious on the compliment, spectacular job! A winner to me so far.

Awesome ending too (shotgun ftw!)

Only feature missing: Boost up and down :)

Side note: The round thing on top of the mechs look like mouse ears to me, cute.

Asking for Admin Priveldges to run is kinda weird. Can you make a build without that part? :)

Metal Slug but with (more) mechs!

I think a bit more zoomed out would've been more playable.

Other than that, awesome! 5/5

Ah yes, Mechario Party! The factory setting with mini-games is a great idea. I'd see a fun couch multiplayer out of that!

The minigames themselves were pretty fun, I just didn't get the one with the squiggles and the levers. (but I did finish it, I think, at the padlock)

Nice art too!

Good job team!

This is a Nintendo Switch party game waiting to happen! What a load of fun packed in such a simple game. Very. Good. Job!

Ooo a wiki-game, a mecha-wiki-game. Very well done! And good visuals too!

I mean, I could just spam punch and demolish everything. But the mechs looks good, nice use of AI art too!

At least for me the aiming was waaaay too sensitive! Also I noticed that if my mouse touched the edge of the monitor the aim wouldn't turn as well. Ands the shots don't go really where the dot is.

Lovely ps1 visuals, reminds me of the good old Armored Core days.

Nice job!

I'd like to see this in a full game with the proper polish! The monitor visual gives that fallout vibe, even more if the assets were a bit rusty.

The waves come so fast and so frequently it's most of the time shooting and very little mining. Just a balancing issue though.

Very well done!

This made me play it to the end! Very solid, great style!

Oh, I want more of that! Top marks! I managed to get an error:

<set $lenaRespect to $lenaRespect - 1>…

*Also, I got 3 achievements, how many endings are there?

Very interesting! The 2D art is awesome!

Thanks for the kind words! :)

Yeah the controls are a bit jank. But thanks for the compliments!

(1 edit)

To be honest the controls are not as responsive as I wanted. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!

That's good to hear! Thanks for playing!

thank you!

So we both did the falling leaves mechanic, but yours has a game too! :D

Good job on the jam!

Pretty tough and pretty pretty :)
