Neat beginnings of a game, especially considering the super short development time. As others have mentioned, sound and a better defined hitbox would add a lot to it.

Very cool character design!

Thanks for the feedback! I've polished this a bit post-jam (including sounds) in case you want to take a look :)

Great entry considering the amount of time you put into it. Not having any sound is a big draw back for me, I'd to see a more completed version of this some time!

Will do thanks!

Movement was super intuitive so no worries about having to see any controls, I did randomly die even though i was collecting batteries and didnt collide with anything. I also ran into issues where I would go for quite awhile without any sort of obstacles or having batteries spawn into obstacles.

One suggestion I could give to counteract this is making sections into prefabs and having the objects spawn with that, i believe that should help with overlapping items. I hope this helps! Keep up the good work :)

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion! The spawning of everything was just done randomly for time. I see how that's not balanced :)

So the mechanic is that there's a battery meter in the robot's TV face (which ended up not very visible)

Thanks for playing!

Fun little project!

The animation of the mech felt a little slower than the actual hit box, and I can't see where the battery meter is so I died randomly and didn't know why!

I wish I could slide out of a jump to hit the ground sooner.

Got a high score of 268 :)

Developer(+1)

Yeah! Animation cancelling got chopped for time but it was the idea.

The battery meter is in the robot's TV face, but I admit it's not very visible :)

Thanks for playing!

How did I not see that?? :O  I think with a background color change it could really pop out

The mech animation are good. The input was quite hard, the mech didn't respond quickly  and  to play  I was pressing twice the action I wanted.

Suddenly I was playing well and he did at 240 points.. without any collision.

Good start .

Simple fun game and the animations are very smooth and well made!

Thanks for the kind words! :)

The game was really fun, and the animations are amazing. The controls were a bit unresponsive though and it took me a second to figure out that I was randomly dying because I was running out of battery.

Developer

Yeah the controls are a bit jank. But thanks for the compliments!

The areas that you worked on work really well. Would love to see something bigger or more complex.

Developer

That's good to hear! Thanks for playing!

Pretty Nice, enjoyed a couple Rounds but im not good at those Games. It feels really smooth also the Animations are nice, the Model looks good!

Developer (1 edit)

To be honest the controls are not as responsive as I wanted. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!
