Hopefully one day soon I will release a new version of WreckRace! I have some better car controllers now, I'm just extremely busy on another project, once it's done I'd love to pickup WreckRace again.

Cool game, I got to level 3 on the game before the time ran out. Music was cool and loved the theme and artwork too. Great work!

This is the first Time I have seen this type of game, I found it super interesting and I really love the art theme. Very cool concept, I enjoyed playing thank you!

I did have some issues though:

I got confused as the avatar didn't hit the switch at the start  when I attacked it (I tried multiple times), I had to watch the vid from the other player to figure out what I needed to do. I know the controls are simple but I would have preferred something at the start or here that shows the controls.

I prefer shift for attacking over X, X doesn't work for attacking when top down, only K works for me.

I got stuck, first it froze, I paused and went back and it was not frozen, but I could not get past the area, even after watching the other person's video, pretty sure something broke.

For me the mouse was way too sensitive when paused.

I really do love this concept a lot, well done!

This is where I got stuck...

The first time through there was a bug that made me loop at the beginning. I thought that was all there was. When I played it again, I could see a hole in the ground this time, once I jumped over the levels continued, changed my fun rating up because of that :) Looks very nice!

Hey this is cool, takes me back to my teenage years playing commodore 64! I don't have much time now but will try this properly later, to give some ninsights on my journey so far.

yes I’m already in the jam. Team two Adapt-Evolve. Jeremy is the name DM me in discord

hi I’m also looking to join, this will be my first attempt at 2D. I know unity well but only have around a year experience. I can code ok

First over the line doesn't mean you win, damage both taken and received also factors into the score. What will your tactic be? Kill everything or fly through aiming for the fastest ever time? Cannons around the track can both destroy and be destroyed, speed and superb skills will have you ready to Wreck Race to a World Record! Later iterations aim to have a driver paired with a gunner. Imagine racing a bus with 5 or 6 passengers shooting for target damage points to add to the drivers score.

Ï have fixed up that file now, finally...

Hey sorry for the delayed reply, thank you for the feedback, really appreciate it. Yeah I agree with the animations he he, I'll fix them once the game jam judging finishes, ran out of time for the actual event. I'll also fix up the Mono folder, thanks for that my first time uploading a file like that.

I enjoyed playing, love the sound track and dig the art theme. A menu/quit game option would be nice so I don't have to alt+tab to exit the game. I thought the intuitive UI design was really well done (e.g. you use obvious controls (awsd) or train the player when events happen, rather than a bunch or training tutorials), I also like how there are some area that double back on themselves and then change open paths. I really liked the oxygen refill concept, reminds me of some old commodore 64 games I used to play as a kid (as does the art theme somewhat). Dying and having to go all the way back to the start was a bit frustrating for me, maybe if you just went back a shorter distance e.g. when you pickup the drill, just go back to 5 or 10 seconds before. Finally, the into story was cool, you did a good job of starting things off in an interesting way, well done!
