Really liked that it was a bit of a challenge. I played it on my phone an it worked really well too.

Hey everyone!

Game Title/URL: CORPO | MENTE, (BODY | MIND in italian)

Information: A short point-and-click/visual novel hybrid, focused on a surreal story, visuals and animations. In this game you rebuild your body and mind to be reborn after you have lost your body.

I'd like feedback on: Mainly the game design / coding, and overall feel of the game. I am a philosophy student, not a coding student: i learnt Godot and GDScript out of pure passion and, as such, I don't really have much experience with it.

I need help on: Windows for some reason flags my game as potentially malicious, and I don't really know how to stop that from happening! (I am using Godot 4.1.1)

Game Title/URL: https://poltergeisha3.itch.io/beetlewing-the-metamorphosis

Pitch/Information: BeetleWing: The Metamorphosis is an exciting arcade shooter that puts you in the driver's seat of an insect spaceship on a mission to protect a rare egg while harnessing the power of metamorphosis to switch between unique forms.

I'd like feedback on: The music primarily, but all feedback is appreciated!

Game Title/URL: Cycle of life and death

Pitch/Information: Defend your cyrstals of life against the hordes of hell, bringing nothing but death!

I'd like feedback on: Anything you want! Would appreciate any thoughts or comments.

Cyclical battlehttps://denbread.itch.io/cyclical-battle

Information: You get to the island. Where you are trying to survive from monsters. Run, survive and score points
I'd like feedback on: How do you like the game?

Submitted(+1)

Game Title/URL: Scurry Scramble

Pitch/Information: You play as a squirrel who wants to scare all birds to have all their food for itself. The more birds are present the more food they eat every 3s.

I'd like feedback on: If the game logic and UI are clear. I'm also wondering how important art is for this kind of game. I'm thinking about adding more diversity of objects you can jump on and different types of birds (for example craws that eat more and are more difficult to scare off) but I wonder if I should redesign art first.

Game Title/URL: https://rosesrot.itch.io/mortal-coil

Pitch/Information: After being cancelled, your sister Sonoko has inexplicably joined the reality TV death game, MORTAL COIL… and you, Ikuyo, must choose whether to follow Sonoko into the depths of destruction, risking your life to save your sister who seems all too eager to play. A cyberpunk deconstruction of YouTube, Twitch, and VTuber culture.

I’d like feedback on: Anything! What you thought about the game— the storytelling, the visuals, the pacing, and what you’d expect out of the full version.

Game Title/URL: https://joe345.itch.io/space-ace

Pitch/Information: You control a spaceship and race through levels while shooting targets along the way trying to get the best time.

Feedback: Anything, it's the first game I made so I'd like to know any way I could improve.

I need help on: Getting the game to work as a web game, when I tried uploading an HTML version it was extremely laggy so any tips on how that could be optimized would be appreciated. (edit: I got the web version working ok, turns out it wasn't an issue with the game, I just had the "Use hardware acceleration when available" setting in my browser turned off)

Game Title/URL: https://porterweston.itch.io/palinova-prototype

Pitch/Information: Palinova is a metroidvania with a twist, you can only upgrade your player with resources you find in a 'run' after you die. This is a very rough prototype of this concept.

I'd like feedback on: I would mainly love feedback on how the player looks in terms of color palette and animation, and on the color palette/look of the game in general so far (outside of UI, most or all of the UI is currently a placeholder). I would also appreciate feedback on the gameplay loop, and if you found it fun/boring and why.

I need help on: I had problems with the player being jittery when moving around. I used Unity to make the game, and I used rigidbody velocity to move the player and I moved the camera by setting it's transform position. I read online something about how it causes problems when using physics to move units and using a frame-based method to move the camera, but I don't really know another way to do it.

Thanks for reading and thanks to the jam organizers!

AUGMENTED

A unique game about upgrading into a cybernetic marvel as you hack 'n' slash your way through an infinitely generated dungeon.
Would be great to receive feedback on new mechanics we could implement, new enemies, and how well we did with art, programming, and music!
