Beautiful and Good VN, considering its done with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, makes it just more awesome.

I think many people mention already.... Sound!! That would spice thewhole Game to another Level!

Solid Work, keep it up!

*R34 stranded search...* oh i mean, nice game i like the story and graphic style of the game ! the screen filter fits a lot in the gameplay, i dont like a lot the Graphic novels but this one was interesting to play well done!

Great visuals and story. I especially liked the implementation, is this HTML5?

I would love to see a fully voice acted version of this.

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! It is indeed HTML- Used Twine Sugarcube as a base and then spiced it up with CSS and JavaScript!

A lot of the feedback has been sound related which is totally fair. I'm planning on looking into options for sound, music and as you've mentioned, voice acting- No idea where I'd start with voice acting but I agree, that would be amazing!

The aesthetic is super appealing, loving the colors, the character design and the writing, overall a pretty solid game in all respects!

really love the presentation and that art you done for the character is great!

the writing is one of the better ones I have seen this game jam also big plus on that CRT filter :D

Developer

That means a lot to hear, thank you!

Still need to finish it, but from what I've played so far the writing is fantastic and the visuals are super impressive.

Developer

Great to here Luke, thank you and thanks again for streaming it :)

Stellar presentation, gripping story, and a twist i personally did not see coming :o

The character design is incedible and i like the whole interface as oldschool CRT display with scanlines and all, i also felt that involving the player directly into the story by letting you name the character really adds to the imersion, and makes some turns in the story particularly impactful.

The only issue is the total absence of sound and music, i feel this would complete the package, but well understandable for a jam game cause time do be runing short fast haha :p

Overall solid experience, Good job :)

Developer

That's great to hear, thanks so much!

The vast majority of feedback is indeed sound-related which is fair! But as you say, two weeks was a squeeze haha but definitely something I'm planning on looking into for future updates :)

Update 21/07/23 08:07: fixed variable bug

Loved this one! Would have loved some sound, as mentioned, but the story didn't necessarily need it. Really nice to see another game in twine as well, haha. Really adored what you were going for here. Wish I had more to say, but... loved it! Great job!

Oh, I want more of that! Top marks! I managed to get an error:

<set $lenaRespect to $lenaRespect - 1>…

*Also, I got 3 achievements, how many endings are there?

Developer

Thanks so much! And thank you for spotting this error- this should be fixed now :)

So far, there are 2 endings and a handful of achievements depending on how you speak to Lena.

That was pretty good. I like that sticking to your guns till the end was enough to defrost her. Art is pretty nice though it lacks sound.

That was beautiful. I wish there was some sound.

Update 20/07/23 20:41 : fixed placement of set variable typo

Submitted(+1)

Really impressive character art, especially when filtered through the crt effect! The story was great too, though there were a few typos throughout. Also, I could only seem to get one ending and I'm unsure what I'd need to do to find another one. Apart from that, it was a really solid entry!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much- and many thanks for pointing out the alternative ending issue- I had made it quite difficult to get said ending, but the main issue was I'd made a typo in the original set variable! It should be more manageable to get the other ending now.

Update 20/07/23 15:50: fixed multiple achievements feature and broken variable.

I love the dialogue and art style. Still trying to find the good ending, but I enjoy all the different dialogue branches that cover every player response.

One error showed, hope this helps:

"Error: cannot find a closing tag for HTML <set>

<set $lenaRespect to $lenaRespect - 1>..."

Developer(+1)

Ahh thanks so much- Turns out the index.html I uploaded hadn't updated to my most recent one, glad you pointed it out! should be fixed now :)

Really nice art style and I really enjoyed playing this one! Story felt personal with the addition of adding your own name. Love it.

That's great to hear, thanks so much!
