Nice game! I decided to not be greedy, then replayed the game to see what would happen if I opened the chest haha. My small piece of feedback would be you could consider extending the platforms a little bit past where they visually end (alternatively, coyote time which you mentioned elsewhere). Cheers!

Thanks for playing! It's playable on mobile at word-looper.edric.dev! You can select "add to home screen" to get it to run like an app. I started adding some people's suggestions already!

Thanks for playing! I'm glad that you got to use hints and still found the game playable!

Thanks for playing!

Cool game! Feels like the start of a StarCraft match or something. Would love to see the progression ramp up a little faster at the start, but the sound effects and animations keep it interesting. Really nice jam submission!

Nice game! It felt original but still easy to get the hang of. Perfect length for a jam submission too!

Cool take on the subway surfers genre! The obstacles idea goes really well with the theme, and your game atmosphere is great!

Nice work! A pretty fleshed out racing game in the jam timeline is pretty cool. Falling off the track is really rough--getting sent to last checkpoint is a bit disorienting. And the placement tracking is a bit wonky. I think when there are sections of tracks that cross over each other the players "closer" to the finish line are marked as higher in the placement order. But that's a pretty small thing. Very cool submission.

Nice Jam Entry!  I personally would rather have "switch directions" on another key (maybe spacebar) but that's kind of my fault for playing on a laptop. The levels seemed to ramp up pretty fast, and it seems like you can survive just by bursting down the boss when he shows up. But you added a lot of stuff within the jam timeline! Nice work!

(1 edit)

Nice work! Slick animations. I thought the instructions were clear, and the system handles wrong words well. There might be an issue with "EARTH" and "FIRE" where it's only highlighting the last letter instead of the last two.

Thanks for playing! I will almost certainly be adding smaller hitboxes as a settings option

User-driven rotation is a cool idea, I hadn't thought of that! Click and drag to trace seemed a bit annoying to me during development, you can basically click on your intended starting letter if you can look past selecting letters on the path there. Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for playing!

Really cute, quite intuitive. Probably a good idea to go with just one sticker type for the jam, but would love to see it fleshed out with more. Congrats on a nice submission!

Cute game. A fresh take on twin stick shooter/bullet hell, would love to see more like it!

Great idea! Would love to have a timer or countdown on the camera. But this is a really nice jam submission, Congrats!

Cute game :)

Was unsure if I wanted them to find the treasure or not at the start haha. Neat concept. Congrats on a great jam game

Nice submission! Not quite enough to do, but you fit a good amount in on jam timeline

That was umm... an experience for sure. The skeletal animation is almost creepy. Amazing work on this. Was not expecting to play a game like this during this jam.

so cute and derpy haha. Definitely did not understand what to do the first time, the recipe UI looked like tables I could interact with at first. But was able to play to a score of 5 and it was fun! An interaction hint/indicator could be really helpful, but nice jam submission overall!

Nice little jam game. Congrats on your submission!

that was a cool experience! Awesome jam submission. Loved the syncing to the music

gosh it looks and sounds really good, and the idea is awesome. Neither the shop nor combat seem to be in a good spot at the end of the jam, but I hope you plan to continue development on this!

Thank you! I also enjoy the puzzles more :)

Thanks!

Thanks! Glad they jived with you!

For sure, classic mode is a very strange creature, just way different from standard 2048. Levels is more the intended experience. Thanks for playing!

Glad you had fun! Thanks for playing!

Dang, Great work on this! Feels like my pilot isn't drunk. he's quite talented :P

Really cute! Quite polished. Feels like some quick wins for addons would be displaying info about the next wave, allowing upgrading roads without selling the old ones, and maybe allowing multiple paths without the tanks turning back toward home. I had a fun time, Nice Submission!

Interesting, looks cool. Not really sure what my goal is if I'm playing both sides, and it feels like I lose very suddenly and randomly.  I like the UI and the new ruleset with eating your own pieces. Congrats on your submission

Love how the spikes work! It just took me a little bit to understand how slamming worked and I was constantly trying pressing "up" to jump even when gravity was flipped. Great work on a nice submission!

Thanks for playing!!

Great minds... right? Well, I mean maybe it was low hanging fruit :P  Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing!

I played the crap out of it too :) We tried to give it a fresh look-- glad that came through for you! Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing!

Yeah puzzle development was very clunky haha. Thanks for playing!
