Awesome use of the theme!!  Really fun and juicy - loved the art and color palette a lot too!  The music was great too -excellent work on this! :D

Thanks! Is there anything you think I could change or add?

hmmmmmmm after taking another look real quick would say maybe adding a combo bar that depletes/fills after hitting an enemy -so while you're frantically running around you are also trying to not take to long to reach the next enemy to keep your combo going  -also maybe adding a heavy powered charge attack to the sword would be fun!   :D

Cool game but it's way too easy to get hit and lose!

Love the visuals and mechanics/enemies otherwise, even if I didn't end up making it super far haha

Bigger attack range would have been nice.

Once i found weakness of monsters by running from left to right in middle crystal spawned outside game area i guess.

Fun game, killing bats felt satisfying.

Interesting mechanic, good game flow and stylish visual! Like it^^

Simple, to the point and with a creative core mechanic to make things more interesing. Nice game, I like it.

Good job!

It took me a few tries before I realized that I need to aim with the mouse and not where I'm facing. A bit counter intuitive, I died a lot because I was clicking away from the enemy so I was hitting down instead of up (for example). I think a good fix would be to add a special cursor in the game for your mouse, like a giant aim to help. I notice that the sword points in the direction, but it's a bit subtle in my opinion!

I agree with the others that a health bar would be a good addition too, it's very easy to die!

The art is good, the color limitation makes it look like a Game Boy game and I like it.
Good job on your submission :)

Gj for the game. I liked mostly the graphic since the bats eat me every time and cannot proceed more :D

Fun game but pretty damn difficult!
Really enjoyed it and it was aesthetically pleasing too!
Great job!

The art style and animations look neat! Also I liked the feel of the hits, as well as the splats when you kill an ennemy. :)

However it is sooo easy to die, it might be cool to add multiple lives.

Nice job

I really like the colors and the design of the knight, though I wish you could survive more than one hit as it feels very easy to die

Well done on the juice part ! It is very satisfying to hit enemies in this game, especially the snails ! The art style is really cool too, maybe the background could have been darker to make the moving elements stand out a little more, but that is just a matter of preference.

The small attack range combined to the speed of the character make the game really hard ! As it is a scoring game, it's not too bad but making it a bit more forgiving could help the player to master the controls a bit quicker.

I had a bug once, where enemies were invincible, but I couldn't find any crystal. Maybe it was offscreen or under the ui ? I think making an effect like an electrical arc between the crystal and the enemy would prevent that, even if is was offscreen I would know where it is.

Good job, that's a pretty fun game !

Nice game!

The enemy effect like blink, knockback, sound etc. on getting hit or dying is done really well. The death screen feels a bit sudden and lacking, though.

The mechanic and art style is really well done! The game does lack  on the visual indicator and juice though .  Important like where the crystal is or when the player get hit should be more noticeable. But, overall this is a very good project in my opinion!

Fun to play, colors work really well together but there's not enough juice on the important parts of the game. I couldn't even tell when a crystal spawned in and I died after being circled by bats.

Really good game, it feels nice to control and I specially like the color palette :)

A wonderful game! I love how it seems super simple but it's quite challenging. It has dope audio and sFx, the visuals are great and the controls feel amazing as well.

Only change I'd suggest is having the gem a bit easier to see or have a visual indicator on the enemies letting you know that a gem spawned lol I also had a gem appear behind the score so I couldn't see it

Amazing stuff, well done!

Fun game!

I feel like the movement with the keyboard input is a little clunky. Maybe mouse movement would be more enjoyable. Also, I kept trying to hit the bats right at the last second and dying XD. Maybe something telling me my range would be beneficial. Good job!

Wow you weren't lying, that knight sure can move! Jokes aside, it's a pretty neat game and I had some fun. However, dying to one hit and difficulty in hitting the enemies made for really short play throughs. I do like the effects added for combat, really satisfying to hit the enemies and get a hit stop + splatter. Really great game and congrats on finishing for the jam!

Nice looking game, easy tp jump into, but i had trouble dying a lot when i kill the enemy but the character still runs into it before it disappears, and i die.

wow , i really love how you implemented the idea , nice looking game overall !
