Nice one, good job :)

Such an amazing game with such an awesome narrative and boss fights! I laughed a lot at the story, especially the moment with the power of love (it was unexpectedly). These workers who are trying to sell you an extended warranty are so funny! And a special attack with the explosion of NO NO NO feels really cool! Great job!

Thanks a lot! Happy you liked it :)

This game is so funny xD

It's one of a few jam games that I've played that actually incorporated dialogue so well like you guys did - Not only that, but the bosses were also very well implemented, each own with it's own unique attacks and quirks that mirrors their personality!

The game is also prettttyy juicy - It feels so good shooting at people, and of course, the special is very well made, got all the little details done right, from the zoom to screen shakes and SFX!

By the way, thank you for setting up two difficulties for the game jams. While I'm more of a guy that likes more of a challenge, I understand that in a game jam, submitters possibly have to rate dozens to hundreds of games, and being stuck in a level just breaks the experience of that submitter because he won't be able to see all the content the game has to offer and consequentially he goes to the next game. With an easier difficulty for jams, you can effectively show the submitters what your game has to offer, and if they like it well enough, they can try out the true challenge. This is a very clever move!

Got just the right amount of content and juiceness, good job!

Thanks for the in-depth feedbacks, it's very appreciated !

We learned from the previous jams that the difficulty needs to be right, since, like you said, we have so much games to play. When we hit a wall, we simply play something else!  But at the same time, it's fun for the more hardcore gamers.

Thanks again! I'm glad you liked it :)

Splendid, congrats for winning the jam by the way - especially the fun category!

I've had my own share of balancing issues in previous jams as well - I could never get it right, my designer blindness was preventing me from seeing the perspective of the player, that's why playtesting is super important as well. Having two difficulties, not more or less, it's something that I think it's just perfect for a game jam.

Fine tuning that flow between comfort and challenge is what makes a game so intuitive - It's not just about the graphics, the sounds and the story, but how the gameplay combines all of these pieces together - Without it, there's no fun. To me, that's the most important factor in a game: How much fun it provides. I'm still trying to study this and how to actually implement in my own game jam games...

Awesome game. Bosses, words screamed as bullets and 10% discounts as bonuses.
I enjoyed this. Gj and thanks :D

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked it :)

This is so good! Like really this is one of the best games in the jam! It's funny, juicy, really approachable difficulty spike, super fun, and great design all around (also we've been trying to talk to you about your laptop's extended warranty as we have some new offers)

Developer(+1)

Haha! thanks for playing, thanks for the feedbacks :)

Very funny setting and the gameplay feels great! The successive bosses each feel distinct and keep the game fresh. Is there any reason we can't use the mouse to aim/shoot ?

Developer(+2)

Good question. The game is 8-axis, the directions of movement and shooting are locked to 8 different positions (the 4 directions + the 4 diagonals). I made it this way to be more like those 80s arcade games I used to play (Robotron and Smash TV being my inspirations). This design feels more at home with buttons in my opinion but I could definitely try to do a few tests to see if it would work well with the mouse!

Thanks for the feedback ! :) I'm glad you enjoyed

It was soooo cool! I wish there wash a "Story" entry for the rating :)

Developer(+1)

Haha. Indeed, that would have been cool!
I recently played The Messenger and that gave me ideas for some video game comedy (if you never played it, it's quite an experience!)
Thank you for playing :) I appreciate

It's interesting game with a lot of interesting mechanics. Nice job!

Thank you for playing :)

Jesus... This game is just perfect. What a nice feel, music is amazing, great sFx, even the story and dialogue are hilarious. I'd love to have an endless version of this.

10/10 best game of 2022 confirmed

Developer(+2)

My first idea was to only make an endless mode with a high score leaderboard, but I had this idea for a storyline so I reworked it to make it beatable instead. I'm glad I did it honestly, but I'm definitely thinking of making a high-score mode after the jam!

I'm glad you enjoyed, thank you for your feedbacks! :)

The game feels quite nice, and the feeling of releasing your special move when you think you can't survive the mass of employees is great, very juicy feeling you could say, overall, great game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!
The meter fills pretty fast in the Easy mode because I wanted everybody to use it multiple time during their sessions :P I'm glad it's satisfying, it was really fun to develop all the juicy effects!!

This is one of my favorite games that I've played so far for this jam! The amount of polish and replayability this game has for something that was worked on in a week, and according to the credits by a 2 person team is incredibly impressive. Hats off to you all actually, this is really great.

Developer(+2)

Thank you very much for the kind words!
Big shoutout to my partner in crime for this Juice Jam: Jonpon!

Make sure to follow him if you're looking for music-related collaborations! He made so many amazing soundtracks for other game jams!
He's got a lot of talent for sure :)

Will definitely follow and will keep in mind for any future collabs!

This game is yes

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

If only he said YES to the extended warranty the first time the salesman asked...
Thank you for playing :)

Submitted(+1)

Very good point, this is not a 'yes' game, its a 'no' game, a very good 'no' game :)

How to do bullet hell: child-friendly edition! Great job y'all, you really nailed a good comedy with some enjoyable bullet hell elements, I don't have any real criticisms to give!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the kind words! :)

I'm invested in the story of pluffy, but I cant beat the love boss! Guess love really is the strongest power in the universe! For real though, absolutely stunning! Game feels responsive, j u i c y, and fun to play! The sound effects are on point for everything as well as the particle effects and visual design. Very cohesive and well made game

Developer(+1)

Haha! I'm glad you liked the Pluffy part. I won't spoil to you how it ends then!

Thanks for playing :) I'm happy you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+2)

I don't have much to say what others haven't already, but this is an amazing game. I don't actually have any criticism to give, this is really one of if not best games in the jam, wonderful job.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words :)

Best love story of 2022!

This game is so solid.

Loved the story, the theme and gameplay was really snappy and fun.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I appreciate :)

If I didn't know this was a jam game made in 8 days, I'd guess it took well over a month!

Original story, unique bosses, funny dialogue, solid gameplay!

Cream of the crop!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, that means a lot!  I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Submitted(+2)

The level of polish of this game is insane! Also the matter feels really relatable (having a friend who has worked in the same kind of store lol)!

Great music, great visual, great effects, sound design... and also a freakin' storyline.

Very very fun game, you earned my admiration lol

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I appreciate! I have good memories of working at that store though. The Warranty part wasn't, but hey, it made for a good story in a game jam :D
