The fast-paced puzzle is an interesting concept and I like the aesthetic of the game! Well done!

Oh I love that kind of puzzle game, where you make choices and put yourself into trouble ! The juice is really well done, it's fun, everything is there ! I think I'll keep playing it a bit more later, I find it pretty inspiring.

Here are a few details I noticed that I think could be improved :
- It took me a while (and an input mistake) to discover that I could go through ghosts. It's an interesting mechanic, but it does not feel natural, I thought they would kill them or that I would be stopped by them.
- the FX when you move is really cool, but maybe a bit too bright compared to the character, it attracts the eye while the important thing is the place where you land. Sometimes I lost track of my character because of it.
- I'm not sure using a timer is the most fun way to handle defeat condition, I would have used a number of steps instead. But I supposed it was your link with the theme ?

Anyway, great job, the game is really fun !

I liked the juice a lot, but wasn't super fond of the scratchy sound effects. Would love to see it expanded on cause personally I am both bad at and don't particularly love these kinds of spatial puzzles, some more tools or tricks to use would've been nice to see. Every time I got stuck I ended up realizing I was missing a move I could make, and it always felt fair - though once I killed an enemy right as I died, losing with 12 seconds now on the clock. Ah well. Really solid entry all around, you should be  proud :)

Thanks so much for the feedback!!

I used a very simple program to generate the sound effects, and since it's geared towards lower hz sounds, they aren't the greatest.  Honestly I should have just brought them into FL studio and threw on some adjustments, but whatev I guess.  Notes for next time :)

I was actually trying to shoehorn another action into the game, but each idea I had kinda overly simplified the puzzle aspect of the game.  I think with more time I could've thought of something, but for now the game is mainly focused on that one aspect unfortunately.

As for the timer bug, I noticed that after I submitted the project, and thought It quite funny that I overlooked such a simple fix lol

Anyway, ty agn for feedback! It helps my growth a lot :)

Even if the game is pretty simple, the effects are really cool!

really enjoyed this entry great idea its sort of like a puzzle game where you mistakes and quick thinking in one moment can lead to the determent of another, but it would be great if it where playable in a browser, I don't know how easy that is for Godot so if its a bit of a task it doesn't really matter, but besides that really liked it

Developer

Thank you!

I considered exporting to browser, but unfortunately I don't have experience in that, so I didn't have time to figure it out.

Idk if I can include a browser file after the jam is closed, but I'll look into that in the future.

its super simple in Godot. Just downlaod the export files for HTML5, export your projec, zip it and upload it to itch :)

very nice puzzle game. i never tried this game genre, how do move the block? with rigidbody, or just moving transform when in contact with the box ?  great game.

Developer

Thanks!

I actually tried to challenge myself with this system, and instead used an array which contains data for each tile.  Each resource simply moves to it's correct location based on the array data, and I don't even have to use collisions!

This system took the first half of the jam to figure out, but I think it was worth it (since the collision might not work as intended at such high speeds)

I'm addicted to this game. it just comes all together. The JUICY visuals, the sounddesign and the gameplayloop. please make a smartphone realise out of it. I'd totally download it!

Nice concept. Maybe we have not so much time for decisions, but the concept it's intriguing in my opinion

Amazing game, I love it!!!

The look and feel of the game is absolutely fantastic, although maybe a bit confusing at first because of the smoke left behind.

At first I though the procedural part of the game could make it unfair, but I quickly realized how wrong I was. With a bit of thinking you can get to pretty much any spot. I even managed to get a high score of 18.

It's a shame people aren't clicking on your game because the thumbnail makes it look nothing special, but trust me, it is something special. Absolutely thrilling experience, be proud of yourself, truly amazing.

Developer

Thanks so much, that means a lot!

I love the visuals a lot, you should include them on your thumbnail so more people click on it! I'm also a sucker for those ice sliding puzzles from Pokemon so I like the concept you were going for.

In actual execution though, it was a bit difficult to understand what I was doing at first since there was no transition to the next spot I would be at since the character would kind of just teleport around. I also think the blocks being how you damage the ghosts is pretty in conflict with the high-speed feel that you're going for, maybe having the player character just be able to kill them by dashing through them would be better? The audio was also pretty unbalanced, meaning it's pretty low for some effects and really loud for others. I think a bit more time in development certainly would've helped most of these issues, though, and they're all things to keep in mind going forward into future projects!

Developer

Thank you!

I am currently working on a thumbnail (as I didn't have enough time during the jam).

Yes, unfortunately that was my main problem which I didn't have time to fix.  I was hoping to add a particle effect that trailed the player at a slower rate, but didn't get around to it.

As for the audio, I didn't even notice!  Thanks for all the input, I'll use it to improve my skills :)
