This was a really cute little game! I liked the concept, and the two layers of gameplay (getting the jam and then finding the other half) was really compelling, and has a lot of potential. I definitely struggled with the movement, I almost thought it was broken at first. Only being able to jump is interesting, but I don't think that is presented particularly clearly and it's a little unwieldy. I also wasn't quite sure what to do when it came to the jam jar, I was standing on it and then besides it wondering if there was a certain input I had to press before I stumbled into the jar and got jammed up. I was able to figure out that I had to progress through the side area, but I can also see how that sort of thing could be missed. Perhaps an earlier level with both the jam and the other half would work better to introduce the whole concept and function as a basic tutorial, that could help! Overall, a charming idea with a lot of heart. I hope you do finish this after the jam and even expand it, there's a lot of interesting possibility with puzzle design. Good job!

This was short and cute, I would have liked to play more of it, but I really really appreciated the little cut scene at the end haha. Awesome!

Nice short game! Art was very cute and the premise was too. Honestly it's better than most of the stuff here. Of course, it would be nice if it was fledge out into a longer game with puzzles and more game mechanics, but it's cool. Shame there is no audio too.

Very cute! I wish there was more than one level! It was a little hard to understand the instructions and I think ideally there would be some reminder that you could access. Also it wasn't clear you could go to the next room, I only found out you could go right because I was randomly jumping around. Also, F1 to close the controls menu? Really? You even use ESC later on in the game so I know you know ESC exists. Okay, now I'm nitpicking. Really sweet game that made me feel warm and fuzzy, I love it.

The game is pretty cool, it was a little difficult to understand but eventually made it. Nice job!!

The artstyle is really great!

The game was kind of short, but I liked it!

It would be great to have some sound/music and also a little longer story

This game is very creative! I really like the visuals, they were very well done! As others have mentioned, it's a little too short, but definitely understandable for a game made in 48 hours. The movement was also a little bit weird, but if it was longer maybe it could have been explored more. Still, good job!

Too short!!! Ahaha but that was really cute! I loved the concept!
The instruction picture took a bit of time to understand, but I think that's also partly because we didn't really grow up with PB&J sandwiches where I'm from.

Would love to see more!!

Cool pixel art game with a funny ending! It's short but sweet (get it, because of the jelly). I got stuck in the first screen because I didnt know I could go right, maybe having a small arrow appear will help players know they can move on after getting the jelly. Next step would be to add some funny sounds and music. Still, very fun game for a game jam, good job!

Yum, Peanut Butter Jelly! I love your art style, the bread's little smile just melts my heart! I am glad they got a happy ending. Good job on a fun game! :D

Really cute characters. For me the movement felt a little difficult to get the hang of, and I ended up getting stuck on the living room screen, unsure of what to do. You could maybe improve the experience by adding more signposting so it was more clear to the player what their goal is. Still, really fantastic effort. Keep up the good work!

It is satisfying to become a sandwich. Charming but a little incomplete. Think you've run out of time.

Developer

You're right, I'm not satisfied with the "gameplay" either. Thanks for playing!

Very original! With more levels, there would've been more replayability. Nice!

Cute little game - I struggled a little with the controls but got there in the end. Nice sprites! Think it’s a nice start for some more platformer levels, which would be good to see.

Developer

I'm not proud about the controls either. Thanks for playing!
