ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC, I think is my favourite entry so far. Graphics sounds and mechanic mix in an great atmosphere. The puzzles are great too.

With litle tweaks on some cameras, and tricky physics parts, this could be a great larger experience.

Congratulations.

A pretty good game with solid graphism !

Awesome game bro! The controls were a bit tricky at the start but good once you get used to them! Find my video review below:

thanks for playing it, i saw you had some issues with swapping to another wall. for that, all you need to do is reclick magnetize. also, i have never seen anyone "solve" the big jump like that hahaha :D definitely not the way it was intended but yet it works!

nonidea what i did there and i even managed it twice o believe lol

Crazy atmospheric love the direction you went with graphics. Very dystopian feeling! I have no critiques for the game mechanics really and it felt well paced. I did not immediately understand how this went with the theme but upon your explanation it makes a lot of sense. Had a lot of fun playing :D

OOOH! the whole games feel like a cinematic scene!

I just love the art work on this one, what a beautiful colors, characters and scene!

Also, sound design is perfect <3

The camera feels a little weird sometimes, and maybe its just me but I  would like to change the 'z' to a mouse click maybe! heh

Other than that, I cant believe you made this in a week! You are so talented,  what a cool game :D

Developer

thank you! i can add an input setting perhaps if i expand later!

Love the 3d pixel art style. The game mechanic was also very interesting and some of the maneuvers required to get passed some points were pretty challenging.

Great job!

A very interesting and atmospheric puzzle platformer.  It has an interesting and well communicated moveset with very clear visual queues in the level.  Movement was snappy, though the fact I had controls for 3D but could only move in 2D was weird and a bit disorienting until I stopped attempting to use them.  Some finer points:

  • The magnet mechanic seemed a bit imprecise in how far I would move and which way I would move, but overall it was relatively easy to deal with but it did lead to some challenges in platforming sections.
  • The camera was a bit disorienting in some portions with the angles it moved to and the speed at which it moved to them.
  • Overall the character felt a bit slow, especially on the very long climbs, on top of when I failed a jump having to redo them constantly.  Some sort of speed up on vertical climbs could help?  Or some tweaking of the level design maybe?  It's a complex issue so I'm not quit sure what would be the best thing to change.

I'd definitely enjoy more levels, and I was kinda let down at the end by the fact it was just a end screen and not some sort of visual showing a new world etc. cause it seemed like a big lead up for that.  Overall though, really great level design, well executed mechanic and very unique visuals.

thegame was amazing i couldnt believe this was made in a week, btw how do u make 3d enviroment to look like pixel art??

Developer

its a shader that takes every 4th or so pixel from the camera and basically duplicates it to the pixels around it so it can give a chunky effect. thats simplified explanation,  you can find a pixel shader online free to do it :) ty for playing

Submitted

wow i might try the shader thx u for respondin

This is so great for just a week's work! The atmosphere is perfect and i really enjoyed it, the theme fit, the mechanics were there and it's very polished and professional looking. the only thing i'd critique is the controls but even then that's just my preference. Great job :)

Developer

thanks very much :)

So nice! Art and animation are cool, and the game mechanic is interesting.

This is extremely well-done, the dynamic camera movement really makes you feel like you're in the environment, which creates this looming sense of scale, excellent work creating such an immersive atmosphere, the choice to render with a pixel art style was also neat, its like you took the art style of something like dead cells and mashed it together with the atmosphere and pacing of something like Limbo. Absolutely awesome, congrats on a stellar submission!

Stop doing perfect games please. First, Slimestone Quarry and now this one. Playing your games casuses in me a blend of happiness and depression man, they are too good hahahahahah. Another amazing work mate, congratulations. I am going to dare to give you a catch and is about graphics, they look amazing and give a lot of charisma to the game, but sometimes can be a bit difficult ditingiush between magnetic an non magnetic material. Anyway 10/10.

Developer

thanks a lot for your feedback, it means a lot that you recognise the past jams im in :)

Wow, that was seriously great. I love how much you're achieving with so little, the way you told your story really reminded me of Limbo / Inside. I'm a bit disappointed by the ending, thought there would be something more to it, but hey, that means you did a good job at immersing me into this universe ;)
There's one or two puzzles that felt a liiittle bit too fiddly, where I felt like I had to die and retry until the physics decided to work in my favor (the one where you have to launch yourself across a gap with the red block especially), but other than that, really cool concept. I'm having a hard time seeing the connection with the theme, as I didn't really feel anything getting stronger at any point, and this is a world you're very much alone in (although within the narrative you built I think it's a really good thing). Other than that, I really got caught in it and would love to play more. Definitely a super polished entry, and one of my favorites so far, excellent job :)

Developer

ah, thank you for this review. i spent all my time on the other stuff and the ending was unfortunately cut, im disappointed too there. but im glad you enjoyed the rest! i didnt go for "stronger together" meaning two different beings, i made the magnet effect pull stronger the closer the player and the surface are together. hopefully that makes more sense :)

very nice game, pleasure to play :)
