very unique game with a very expandable concept! well done :)

This is a really cool concept. The puzzle concept was fascinating and the progression fun, and I definitely would love to continue playing it! Good job.

This was really interesting! I was skeptical about how the boss fight would work, but I really enjoyed it. I wish the power-ups were a little better telegraphed, because running into one that stops you from moving forcing you to start over felt more unfair than like a real puzzle, and some of the levels I had to brute force my way through. I also really liked the mouse movement, it was just a little difficult to understand what was happening starting off. I think if you put an arrow or an indicator at the front of the character that rotated to point at the mouse, it would become a lot more intuitive. Overall, good work! This is a cool concept to explore, and I really liked the ever-changing rules -- flipping from a top-down game to a platformer to vvvvv must've been quite a bit of work to get feeling right.

I thought that was a really well thought out and cleanly executed entry! Of course with 48hrs there are aspects to polish but I enjoyed this a lot

One critique I have straight away is the radial mouse movement, which is just very counterintuitive in a slow context and simply makes things more confuing. However the actual gimmick was pretty cool, straight away see inspiration from baba is you. I feel like it couldve been exploited further for more interesting levels and less time couldve been spent on the boss which, alothough cool, was just long and tedious cause not that hard. It's also quite unclear how picking up powerups works when they're supposed to hur you and I think that was too much unnecessary confusion there. The music was pretty dope, and damn, you gotta hook me up with System.Drawing.Common cause that art is just muahh.

Very fun game and it has a lot of unique ideas. The only thing I didn't really like was the diagonal player movement, the game is already out of control so there is no need for it, it just makes the game more frustrating to play. Despite this, overall I really enjoyed playing the game and with a bit more polishing I think it could become a big success, great job!

Great jam game, it has a lot of potential, I really like these concepts you've made here. With a bit of polishing this would be amazing.

Cool idea, it has potential. It needs a bit more work in the game feel, but overall good job!

Pretty awesome ideas here, reminded me a lot of baba is you. I love the mechanic of switching between top-down and platforming modes on a timer, that has some serious potential for great puzzles and fun skill-based gameplay. I'm also glad that there's dialogue telling you what to do in this one, since it has some concepts that would be extremely hard to understand otherwise. Solid entry!

Fun concept. I liked how both the rule possibilities and number of rules grew in complexity as the game went on. Good idea to add a campaign, it helped me figure out what was going on a lot more than just jumping into the arcade mode.

I love the rule-switcheroo in this game. I didnt expect you to even change victory conditions :D I wasnt sure what everything did at first but once I figured it out I had a lot of fun. Awesome work on this!

Developer

I'm glad you were able to figure things out eventually. I was a bit worried that it might be too difficult or frustrating as is. There is definitely some refinement I would like to add in that front.

Reminds me a lot of Fluxx, especially changing the victory conditions.   A game that rewrites the rules as you go along is definitely a great entry to this Jam.    Controls were a bit challenging to get the hang of but I figured it out and it worked pretty well until it was changed again.   I think a clearer idea what power up does what will probably help.    A level that you can only finish first try by luck is a bit unfair (at least to me).    Great concept though and I would love to see what you do with it.

Aha! You've found the inspiration for the game. I hear you on the complaint that you'd need to be lucky to complete some levels first try. I'll try to think of a way to fix this problem.

Very interesting concepts! There is a lot of potential depth to be found with how the outcomes of interacting with certain elements in the game world can turn out.

I think the game would benefit greatly from additional feedback such as if a notification to when something has changed or even a timer for certain timer based mechanics alterations.

Developer

Thanks for playing. I hope to add some of these refinements in the coming weeks.  I especially appreciate your ideas!
