I like the gameloop a lot. I found it more fun to try to catch the bullet, instead of a good bounce. It was rather difficult to get a good bounce, maybe I am just bad, that could always the possibility. The upgradescreen a bit earlier would also be nice, to get the sense of progression a bit more.

The art and audio was fitting.

Overall great submission!

It's a very nice game, but it made me a little nervous... it reminded me of a game from the Stardew Valley, if you know what I mean (I'm talking about the gambling machine in the saloon :))

i like this game great concept too bad its not eligible for rating

Great concept! Very satisfying to accumulate combos... A very novel mix of a wave shooter & billiards. The only thing  I'd have liked would be a combo-meter, and maybe a points-multiplier to reward good ricochets... like an arcade-y touch. Also, respect to the Godot community - games like this make me proud to be a Godot dev... Check out my game if you want to see a totally different style using Godot. Godot rules!

Edit: Just saw that this game is disqualified. Honestly, I couldn't imagine what for... It's a shame, this game had a great hook.

This game carries that unmistakable ‘jam magic’—where you can tell the developer poured both creativity and personality into it. It’s not just a project, it’s a reflection of an idea only you could have made in this way. Really cool to see

Really enjoyed this,  the single boomerang bullet and bounce mechanic is such a clever constraint and gives players tons of creative options. Honestly, not much to criticize here! One tiny thing: I personally find picking power-ups a bit overwhelming, so maybe a single-click “auto power-up” option could help players like me. I know plenty of people love having all those choices though, so just a thought.

good little top down shooter. I like the concept, it is very similar to a jam theme from a few years ago that was 'Only One' (I think that was a GMTK jam)

anyway some more diversity in enemies would be ace and maybe a 'biscuit bullet' upgrade that made it split into 2 or became a really fast snipe shot. Something like that I dunno

Excellent entry all round <3

You did good! I quite liked it,

Nice game. The visuals are alright but I think could use some more distinction to let players tell them apart more easily. The audio could fit the settings of the game better.

The game looks really nice; I like it. Yeah, the theme and gameplay are quite generic, but I see that it is your first jam, which I also count in. Nonetheless, it's a really polished version in 7 days.

Very nice polish! I do think it would benefit from less picking up things on the map as chasing the bullet was getting a bit too much for me.

The visuals and sfx are cute, the one bullet mechanic is very interesting, I wish there was music and something to make the game a bit less “shoot bullet then go find it” repetitive but you can’t expect a completely polished game from 1 person in a week so overall goodjobb

I love the concept! It's really well executed and well polished, the visuals are great, and I liked the sound effects. It's perfect for the theme, and it's a nice risk-reward balance.
Maybe it's a me problem but I felt like it was really too hard, there are too many enemies, and it's so difficult to retrieve the bullet and recover the cookies without being touched or being overwhelmed. Maybe having the cookies be attracted to us like a magnet or directly "flying" towards us would help?
Anyway, I liked the visuals and really had fun, I just wish I could be better at the game to play longer! Great job!!

It was a fun idea but the pace felt pretty slow and the big gap between bullets I could successfully rebound and catch and the looong arduous walk to get it if I missed got tedious fast. The difference between “next wave” and “end round” was really confusing to me at first, but now that I understand it it makes sense. Definitely could see this idea built up on if you can solve the pacing problem! Everything functions as far as I can tell though, I think it’s a really solid effort!

That was intense, pretty cool concept! After my first shot though I thought I the cookie is my bullet and was wondering why I couldn't shoot anymore :D. It had a great risk-reward balance when trying to hit multiple enemies with only one bullet. Great work!

Developer

Thank you so much

I liked the idea and the execution was great. I had the feeling that the enemy projectile couldn't hurt me, and I don't think it could. not sure

Well done!

I tried it again, and it's totally there. It's probably my old-person habit of looking at the top. :D

Fun concept and game loop! I'd be interested in a version of the game where you were rewarded for ricochet kills or could shoot in a way which guaranteed that it followed the path of the laser.

Really nice game with a lot of potential regarding upgrades and/or bullet types, would personally find it really interesting to have piercing and explosive options that you can switch between. Gameplay is very fluid and I was definitely enjoying this experience.

Developer(+1)

Thanks i will look into it

Submitted(+1)

i see the effort put into it, the upgrade system was really balanced and it felt rewarding and the enemy ai was really well made and i also have an idea for a new enemy type that could always camp the bullet or stays around it so that makes it a bit harder for the player and also makes the player be cautious about shooting his bullet randomly , that's really impressive to play and well done!

Developer

Good idea when the jam is over i will try something like it

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the gameplay and the idea that we only have one bullet!!! It turned out really cool and challenging!

If you'll allow me to make a suggestion, some ability like dashing would be great to add more dynamism.

Anyway, what you did is really good! Congratulations!
