I'll give it a shot later!

I have to hand it to the dev, this game spooked me good! I would normally disapprove of using jump scares, but I think the jump scares are balanced with more thought-out, in-depth stuff, like the FPS mini-game. I appreciated that the game had more depth than initially indicated. Really well-done, bravo!
I'm eager to experience the spookiest games this jam has to offer! If your game is spooky... send it to me! I will do my best to rate everything, but I cannot guarantee it. But I want to see spooky games!
If anyone's curious to experience my game, it's a passive-aggressive room mate guilt simulator. https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-14/rate/3851129
In spite of the file size, Cookie Savior is a modest little top-down action adventure roguelike, that feels inspired by Hades. The combat is very math-driven: enemies gradually increase in strength, and the player must choose upgrades to keep up. I wish there was an armor upgrade, because by room 13 I was taking too much damage. But mechanically the game is solid: hitboxes are responsive, etc. A delightful game!
I like this game's twist on poker! It's a more accessible version of the classic poker that comes installed on WindowsXP, featuring cute cookie-characters. I had the hang of beating my opponents semi-quickly, and reached round 10... My only gripe is I wish there wasn't a cooldown on the types of hands you could score... But that's it. A cute experience!
Thank goodness for hole #8. This game is simple & effective, the (jazz lounge) vibes are on point, and the dev's interpretation of "risk it for the biscuit" is very well executed. The only gripe I have is that the "preview vector" does not very well convey the force of the shots. But it's easy to correct once you've tried it once or twice. I'm very pleased by this game - a standout for this jam. Bravo!
I think this game shines increasingly as the levels progress - an intentional design as indicated by the gradually expanding music track. Said music is a highlight of the game, a charming composition that captures the spirit of the ants! Which, by the way, is what this game is all about I guess: the spirit of the ants, marching along meekly but nobly haha. Really makes me smile... The gameplay keeps it simple at 1st - half the game feels like a tutorial - and breaks into something novel near the end, taking advantage of the ant's collision behavior as a mechanic. But that might be giving too much away! I played this game in a rush because I wanted to eat dinner, but by the end I was sad it was over haha. Darn good game!
Pretty easy to watch the minutes disappear with this game! The digging is extremely satisfying, and the basic loop of collecting-upgrading-battery-management is right on! Not only do all the basic mechanics work, but the whole experience is joyful & engaging. The only gripe I have is that the battery life seems slightly punishing. Perhaps I would have taken slower movement speed + more time on the clock for a longer battery life. Two thumbs up!
