I tried to get a rating in before the deadline, sorry that I was late!
I like this module. It's a good dungeon, very on theme for Appendix N/Elves. It feels otherworldly in a fun way. I could see dropping this into a hex in a forest or putting it on a rumor table for sure. Treasures are excellent, some simple but nice and evocative while the urns in room 11 also present an issue of how to carry them back to safety. Oh and goes with out saying that the alliteration is great.
Great job!

No problem at all, I was speed running to try and review all the submissions I could.  Deep thanks for taking the time and I'm pleased you liked it.

Amazing art and style, looks like I'm actually reading an Appx. N book. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Much appreciated.

Awesome use of public art! Loved the use of alliteration throughout. Nailed the faded, used look.

Developer

Many thanks.

Absolutely astounding alliteration at the outset of this adventure! lol

The art choices within whip and the earthy faded-tone really sold that used book feel. I enjoyed how utilitarian the descriptions were as well- no words wasted. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, it means a lot.

Looks easy to run! Love the wordplay, holds your attention. Like the look of the pages and great use of public domain artwork.

Thanks for the big-hearted evaluation.

Jam-packed with whacky horticultural horrors. I love the faded magazine/scrapbook vibe here—quite the botanical bonanza where a sneaky Potion of Plant Control would be a big deal. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the positivity.  Yes, you get credit for noticing that built-in hack that would turn the adventure from hack 'n slash to a walk in the park.

great alliteration and art design!

I respectfully appreciate it.

This freaking rips!

I love the unabashed fun that this adventure site presents. So  little background is given, but regardless, as you read the module it sort of builds out a world for you. It is really effective.  It's very very modular in the sense that I could throw this, pretty much, into any sandbox campaign.

The pulp theming is definitely there as well. I'd probably have to put in some work to make this run at my table, however, I do understand that this is written for OD&D, a game I don't have the pleasure of running on a weekly basis, and one that really is built for these styles of adventures.

I really enjoyed reading this! It sparked my imagination and made me want to go run OD&D

Cheers!

Awesome - thanks & glad you dug it.

Some very fun encounters. I loved how you tried to sneak Crocus-diles and orc-hids by us. Great puns. I may very well steal the toolmaking totem for my home game. Overall, a great entry.

Developer(+1)

Thanks very much.  If I time to re-write the idol encounter I might have tweaked it.  Clear up the syntax to make sure the reader knows my intent was moving the idol takes away its magic.  Probably make the rake a permanent magic spear, but only let the PCs make one?  Oh deadlines.

Submitted(+1)

I don’t know about other people, but I understood that the idol was supposed to lose its power if it was moved.

Is that an A6 format? Crazy how much gameplay (and art!) you managed to get onto those pages. The map at the end since it tightly ties the whole thing together in an excellent way.

Developer

It's my amateur attempt - I think it's all Jam legal (like under 4 A5s or 2 A4s with the margins especially).  Remains to be seen if I get a printable A6 booklet posted.  Thank you very much for the nice comments.

I admire the commitment to alliteration needed to write this adventure. It’s silly, scary, and whimsical in both the modern and the “horrible fae” sense all at once. I’m a fan.

Developer

Thank you for the support & appraisal.

Somehow I commented on the wrong post for the adventure I just read lol

Now about THIS adventure for real:

I love the DIY vibe of this Zine, it captures the DIY artistic side of zines that makes them so fun! Great art, maps and layout!

Developer

You're too kind.  I appreciate the appreciation.

This is a brilliant piece of weird fantasy that perfectly captures the Appendix N spirit. The writing is top-notch; the alliterative introduction is fantastic, and the descriptions throughout are evocative. The creativity of the unique encounters makes them inspired and memorable.

The final encounter with Suvitas and the sentient sword, Glitter-Gleam, is a real highlight. The dynamic of them speaking independently and complaining about each other, while the sword forces the elf to attack, creates a great, playable situation that goes far beyond a simple boss fight.

The entire adventure is also presented beautifully. The layout is clean, the map is easy to read, and the art choices enhance the strange, mystical feel of the garden. Amazing work—I cannot wait to run this for my group and hope to see more from you in the future.

Developer

Sincere thanks for your courtesy.

Really cool setting and lore for this adventure! I really like the cohesive feel of the artwork paired with the different plant monsters. It's giving unsettling forest vibes, well done!

Thanks a bunch for the magnanimous thoughts.

I love the use of public domain images! Very Appendix N! The font choice and the layout are thematic! I really like all the strange creatures that can be encountered!

I appreciate this adventure's aptitude with alliteration. Nice design and really well-chosen public domain art. Lots of great roleplay opportunities in this locale. And that cursed sword is nasty!

Developer

Glad you liked it - thanks very much.
