Nice game!
The game boy visuals and audio work really well and the gameplay is also fine. You totally captured the feel old Game Boy games!
Not much to complain here. It took me a moment to figure out that I need z to talk. The collisions could be better. It was a bit weird to collide with the tree top. And often it seems like the knife vanished immediately after hitting an enemy.
Overall a pretty nice game I enjoyed to play. Great job!
Really amazing game. The art is stunning. I was extremely confused with the controls and almost gave up before finding out what they are on the ratings page. Maybe you should use more conventional controls. The collisions are also a little bit weird.
But aside from that, its an amazing game with a cool story and beautiful art. Well done!
That bee!!! Nice game !
Loved stile and overall retro gameplay. Sometimes I struggled with collisions though.
Very cool game, i liked the gb style and visuals. Dialogues were nice too. Overall a very nice entry! Maybe controls could be tweaked a little.
Would you like to try and rate my entry too? Thanks!
A really solid and complete feeling little game. I did manage to complete it and found it well suited to a game jam. My only gripe would be the combat. It felt a bit vague and I would have liked more juice and clarity. Other than that awesome job
Great graphics, and the story works. Fits the limitation really well.
I like the attack, but using J and X as action buttons is weird on a QWERTY keyboard.
Quite amazing for one person to make this in such a short time.
Impressive! I loved the GB feeling of the game and the buffed boss made me laugh!
Congratulations :)
Seemed interesting, although not really my type..
As said by others, it would have been nice if you had actually told us the controls, instead of us having to guess.
However the gameboy aesthetic was amazing, and it fit the restriction well
Would you mind putting controls instruction the game description? Looks interesting but i am having trouble understanding how to interact and continue in dialogues.
Simple and good game play. Well done! Controls could use a little improvement.
This is a great little game, I enjoyed playing through it. I love the art and music and the fact that it can be played on a GameBoy is awesome.
I found the hit detection on the player a little wonky. With the bosses specifically, it was a bit hard to tell if I was hitting the boss or if I was getting hit. I also found a bug with the final boss where it and the one minion left didn't do anything after I died, respawned, and came back. I was able to just walk and hit it until it died.
Fantastic effort and a great game.
Very good game with nice story. Well implemented, I was looking to use the swiss army paradigm for the focus but couldn't put together an idea like this. Likes are subjective but I really disliked the audio in general, although I understand it's part of the 8-bit asethetic/style you created. Overall well executed.

What I liked :
- Gameboy aesthetic
- Music
- Duration is just what it needs
- Narrative
What could be improved :
- Show [Z] key for dialogue.
- A shorter cool down between knife strike will make the fight more interesting
- I found Boss #1 much harder than Boss #2 , because there is no safe spot.
Hope it helps
You're truly creative and I like the aesthetic of the game , its challenging but overall fun I might have missed something but I didn't encounter any glitched or bugs overall the experience was smooth so no complaints , you nailed the music and sfx therefore you deserve a solid rating from me!
i like the gameboy aesthetic but, the bee boss was a bit to much of a challenge. otherwise great game.
Anything that reminds me of Link's Awakening gets a thumbs up in my book. :)
Unfortunately, I found the controls too stiff to handle the combat well, and I was never able to beat the boss. It's a shame because I wanted to see what happened next in the quest.
There appears to be screenshake, but no SFX, when I strike the boss. An audio cue would be helpful, as would a boss health bar. I can't tell how close I got to defeating him.
I appreciate the feedback, the boss health ended up falling more into the game boy limitations for a number of frames of animation but I will definitely keep that in mind for future games. And if you were curious at all, the First boss has 8 health and the final has 20 in case you felt like revisiting the game. Thank you for playing!
