I wish you made a downloadable version or fullscreen cause i can't play it very well. Whenever i press space, the browser scrolls down. If you have a workaround for this let me know so I can come back and give it a better rating. The music also starts over when I go back to the main menu from collectables and doesn't stop the previous sounds resulting in stacked and i guess looped sounds, but that's just a minor complaint. Cool idea tho!

try using chrome or google to solve your space bar problem it worked for others

Ah there we go! Much better :) Rating fixed! Fun game!

Interesting idea, cool name for the idea too. It was really very challenging, lol I thought my game was hard. I've never played a GDevelop game before, never even heard of it, so I'm interested in looking into that.

I found that the audio is balanced to the left side more than the right, that was the only real technical issue I found.

Good job 👍🏾

thanks

Interesting idea, I think it could use some visual/audio cues when going back but I think this is a fun memory test.

Great work! I was really enjoying it, but I couldn't get past level 7.  I tried so many times and just kept dying. I'd suggest to make that level a bit easier.

Good concept. Nice character and game. It’s great that you did everything by yourself it’s really cool. If you will improve the art in the future I think the game will looks better. Anyway congratz!

Developer

thanks !

Very interesting idea. It was a bit hard, would be nice if the game showed you what killed you so you know where you made a mistake

lol that is what joshuamclean said

Tried the game again in chrome and got it to work! I don't know what everyone is talking about level 8 is a piece of cake ;) I've actually found a method that works for every level but 8-10 but I won't spill the beans, figure it out for yourself. Suggestion, don't make the music stop and start over when you die! Another nifty little game from the mind of Malek, congrats brother!

Developer

thanks! glad it worked in chrome

The concept is so awesome!!! Get someone for art and audio and you have a new addictive mobile video game! I can totally see this becoming the next flappy bird. So simple but so brilliant! Congrats ^^

Developer

thanks! :D

Can we really call it There and Back IF I NEVER MAKE IT BACK! *Throws Controller*
Joking aside rage platformers are some of my favorites and this was a blast to play with the clever lights out mechanic. Impressive work tuning the jumps to be pixel perfect - it made it feel that much better when you make it to the end.
Never got past the last spring jump on lvl11, but it wasn't for lack of trying! Cheers, great submission to the jam!

Developer

thanks so much! :D

Cute, if a little frustrating for the player to play.

The music strangely fits better when looking at the game, than it did in the discord. :P

Problems are:
-Some of the jumps require way too much precision.
-Other levels I straight up just beat by holding jump.
-Not having a "3, 2, 1, go" at the start meant I was guessing when I was gonna start moving.
-There wasn't really any juice. Adding some would have made it more fun to play and maybe even more fun to lose.
-Using the space bar for jump sometimes scrolls a persons page in a browser game. Giving an alternative next time would be a great idea.

All in all,
It's a cute and fun little game that's a little frustrating and could use better art/music.

Took a while to get used to the jump timings, and took me a good few tries to work out good visual indicators to help timing the reverse jumps, but was a fun little challenge, great job.

Developer

thanks alot :)

Super Cute and challenging. Love the idea and the little green character.

Developer

thanks so much :D

This is a really cute game! I loved the simplistic graphics and the gameplay was fun if not someone frustrating lol. I got to level 7 but I just couldn't get the timing correct at all. Getting all the bonus collectibles was also super fun. I think letting the player do smaller than full height jumps would make the game feel perfect.

Developer

thanks i should of though about that idea that would have been good

Submitted(+1)

That was great but level 8 was too much for me :( Definitly made me very ANGRY so good job!

Submitted(+1)

OK game, but the platformming was tedious as you nedded to jump before you can see the blocks.

p:s: Please consider checking our game!
