Love the light effect and the concept.

Really nice presentation, especially with the lighting. I like the idea of exploring the world and heaving to remember things between runs. Reminds me of another game were you only had 1 minute before you died and respawned.
I like how the game looks, and the main mechanic looks interesting, but I can't say I enjoyed playing the game.
I feel like I missed part of the narrative in this game, and now it feels incomplete to me.
I also somehow can't reach the plains in the north? Is that even a location I am supposed to visit?
I found two red-colored characters, but it doesn't look like I can do anything with them, they are just red in color...
Last but not the least, the game clearly lacks the music.
Fun concept and I the atmosphere in the game is really nice, the lighting was awesome and the limit on turns made it challenging but you could replay to improve and work out routes, really enjoyed that, nice game!
An interesting game with an effective use of lighting. Though I would have preferred for some more feedback in terms of better audio and game juice since it could really liven up the game. As for the idea and controls I found both quite intuitive, though I noticed quite he few errors on the console page. The dialogue and overall use of assets give of a perfectly eerie atmosphere. However, I couldn't find the game engaging, since I could see no point in the game, but exploring on its own gave some enjoyment, so alas engagement will have to get 2 stars on my behalf, but everything else 5 stars from me, well done!
Interesting concept. I liked the use of the sprites being used to create different areas and the general atmosphere was nice. The dialogue was also interesting. I couldn't particularly work out a point to the game other than exploring and I imagine I missed a hidden thing or two dotted around?
Overall though an interesting entry!
I really love the mechanic of slowly running out of movement and needing to replenish it along the way, it's creative as heck. As I ran out of movement, I really /felt/ the desperation and dread kick in.
And the little girl saying she could hear them counting? Spooked me so hard - I was instantly immersed.
I basically ran out of stuff to do after talking to the skeleton, but I could definitely see having a choice-driven story-based game, where you lock yourself into your choices (your path) since you already used your movement. Can't save the little boy, not worth the movement. Ignore the suffering - conserve your steps. That kind of psychological story game fits perfectly in the atmosphere and ambiance you created here. Really awesome work on the engagement in terms of setting (although I could go for some light music in the background, just something to set the scene). You have a great base for either expanding on the gameplay, or expanding on an awesome story. Or, in the best of worlds, both! Good job!
Very fun concept, spooky atmosphere :D. Having no sounds makes it even more creepy tbh but I think it would be better if there were some. I like that all the NPC's in the game have their own "character". Great job!
Stylish game. Very interesting!
You must to add some music and sfx!! Without it game feells pretty hollow.
Good luck!
I loved the art of this game. ambiance with the little girl "I hear them count" worked really well with the gameplay. But I didn't know what to do. Or if there was anything to do? Maybe a little bit more guidance would have been nice for me.
I liked it, gave me a feeling of being stuck in limbo. Reminded me of a bit of Minit. After having explored in every direction once I kind of got stuck and wasn't sure if there was anything to do or achieve. Well put together.
Great game, story design mechanics effects lighting are all good
however personally after restarting many times i didn't find myself enjoying the walking count thing i see it pointless to restart again because i moved too much i mean walk count mechanic is the core of this game, just not my type i guess
The game environment felt nice the lighting was amazing, the map design was very good as well.It was fun and all but I think a undo system or a good tutorial could have made it easier to interpret
Nice game. I like the look and the premise, but you don't get that many moves before you run out of turns and have to start again. I was trying to explore and meet people but quickly found that if I tried to explore anywhere I would run out of moves. Perhaps if the player could move a bit quicker I could get back to where I was a little faster with each iteration. It did a really good job building an atmosphere though, I really wanted to find out about people and what was going on.
Really nice! I'm digging the aesthetic! Really cool game mechanic too. If I had to same something negative I'd say the lack of sfx and music hurts the game a bit. Otherwise, really cool!
I get what you're going for but I'm unfortunately (on WIN) getting lots of "body_shape entered" errors messages in the debug console. Is that console enabled on purpose?
Sound is missing (for me) but I like the way the assets were used. Style is fitting. Although the screen size was a little bit too small for me and I couldn't figure out how to change it :D
Whoops, enabling the console messages was unintentional, thank you for pointing that out.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to implement any audio to the game, I would have liked to have it in as well.
Oh that's strange, the window size can be enlarged either by clicking and dragging the window corners. Or with the default windows enlarge/minimise buttons which can be found on the top of the game window. Hope that helps :)
