This is a super creative idea for a rhythm game! I liked having to juggle dodging attacks with performing the rhythm sequences. The setting and use of assets were also super cute! I had a small issue with the HTML5 version though, it didn’t seem to work for me. I had to download the windows version to play.
Loved it! Its kind of like a endless runner x rhythm x heavy meme fun. Really like the whole feel of the starting setting, had a strong epic vibe to lead into the game. Perhaps the one thing was I wasn't sure what the pears were for, and hitting all the arrows, as it seemed I just had to survive to get through. Anyways I also made a rhythm game, feel free to check it out!
Are they dogs or pigs?
How I hated them! Hahaha. Really nice concept but really hard for me. Took me 19 days! :(
Loved the game, great entry!
It took you 19 days?!??!?!?
My guy you're a legend for powering trough!
Fun game. Would have preferred the arrows a little bigger and the controls took some getting used to but overall very fun and quite a lot of love put in the details
Extremely fun rhythm game. I enjoyed the difficulty and the path until get used to the controls (11 days to reach south). The soundtrack is good and walking around the map to read the lines of your pals was really fun.
Damn it took you a while ahah.
Good job sticking trough!
The main music game is nice, but don't understand why there is a hub world. Does it serve some kind of purpose? It was a bit unclear what the game was about, due to the hub world. The tutorial text also covers the door of your house, which makes it harder to spot the exit.
Pretty fun game with a lovely hub world and some undertale vibes, if I am not mistaken.
Maybe you should add a punishment for spamming all arrow keys at the same time, because this strategy worked for me.
Good idea^^
Thanks for playing!
Amazing game!
One thing I didn't understand was - if two arrows show up at the same raw, do I have to hit both or either one? I somehow finished the game without ever finding out which one it is.
Both.
Thanks for playing ahah
Really fun but really hard!
Thanks for playing man!
The nice art style, cute animations, lots of (funny) dogs, engaging music. But I must say that right from the beginning it's frustrating how hard the game is! I had some frames issue in browser version, but it was fine in desktop one. One think I wasn't fan of was this buzzer sound when speech bubble appears, that was disturbing with great music score in the backgrounds.
Hey thanks for playing man^^
I was happy to do it. :)
On the short side, but I love the little descriptions and environments, and the difficulty is -very- well-balanced. I wasn't really sure what the rhythm sections did before the bossfight but the fact that I failed less and less quickly until I won made it well-balanced. Delightful!
Great game! Very engaging, fun to play!
I love all those dialogs in the beginning and in the end, reflecting on the beginning ones. Such a good humor!
I tried browser and linux versions. In my situation, browser version was playable, but it performed not well enough, so it was difficult to maneuver in several situations. 2 out of 8 days I was able to reach the boss and just died there. On linux version I was able to win immediately, it was easier to input all the arrows and maneuver around. It's not a big surprise, browser games usually perform worse thank desktop ones. Your game is much more enjoyable on desktop! Just in case, maybe you should consider suggesting players try desktop version.
Thank you for your amazing game!
Thanks for the idea.
Yeah i agree desktop is always better
Really nice!, really hard!
This is absolutely amazing. The game kinda just throws you in there, the rhythm is a bit hard and the dodging is also pretty hard, wish it scaled the difficulty a little bit better. Other than that it was beautiful.
Honestly my favourite game of the jam so far! i loved how the rhythm section effected the top down section. the atmosphere had very undertale vibes and the music was great. only complaint was the invulnerability frames were a bit short so sometimes it felt like you were chain hit but that's minor. This game is fantastic
Really excellent. Given few resources you've crafted a little world with a lot of character - I particularly laughed at the shopkeeper's line. The crowds with their various shoutings were great and the action gameplay was blisteringly colourful and well paced.
The only error I could see was that mashing any/all arrow keys worked just as well as trying to hit the correct one - which made it hard to resist once figured out. Really great work, one of the best I've come accross :D
What an amazing game. The core loop alone is awesome, but what really makes it shine is all those little details. Exploring map at the end was awesome. Very creative use of the asset pack.
Thanks for that! Cheers!
Wow! That was hectic and I loved it! I'm typically not one for rhythm games but this was awesome, the way you dodged the enemies while responding to the incoming music was so good and that was such a cool idea for a boss battle. Visuals were super nice and it felt super polished too. Also +1 for the dialogue from the other characters, this is one of my fav entries so far for sure!
Absolutely loved this! Perfect level of difficulty for me, and a ridiculously high level of polish for a jam game. This is my favorite game i've played thus far!
