Cool game, congrats! A bit stressful at times! 😅

The cell-eating mechanics remind me of Liquid War, an awesome game from my childhood! 😃

A great little game, I ended up getting to depth 30!

Very similar to Osmos and other games in the genre, but I liked the competitive aspect of it. I'd say at times it felt unfair because everything heavily depends on the start positions and one way to mitigate that would be by actually increasing the play space and letting you wander, escape and potentially recuperate to come back at the large guys again. Also, the AI seemed pretty relentless and maybe a bit too "efficient" heh.

Nicely done and congrats on finishing the jam!

Simple but effective!

The trick seems to be to not let the enemies eat each other before you eat them.

One thing I think would add a lot is a simple soundtrack that loops to make you lose track of time.
You can find these easily on https://freesound.org/ for example (not paid by them in any way, just saved me once I understood how easily you can find these 😅)

Thank you for the feedback! Yes I know music and sfx would probably be the next logical thing to add. I just didn’t have time :)

Nice and minimalist, and it plays really smoothly. Is there significance to the different depths? It seemed to increase whether I was the eater or the meal.

No differences, I was planning more to the game but ended up short on time and I decided to wrap it up by cutting lot of things. The depths being all the same is one of them. Thank you for the feedback! :)

It's a great start, you should keep working on it.

ah, this reminds of that one good old .io game (i forgot the name). But a more fast-paced arena version of it. The transition from one arena to the next is super smooth, I love it. Well done :D

Simple but very pleasing. Reminds me of good old agario.

I just wish the CPU's played less optimally. Some reaction time would be good.

But the color shifts between the recursion depths are a nice aesthetic.

Actually, you know what would have been good? Absolute instead of relative mouse controls. I know it would be an unfair advantage against the CPU's but it would make the game a bit more skill based. Maybe :-)

I like the idea and it's super smooth!

I did find that once an enemy got ahead there wasn't really a way to catch up.

Love it, super easy to understand without the need of a tutorial and simple to play (mouse only) but difficult (because I keep getting eaten lol) good job ( ̄ω ̄;)

Great concept - I love it, good challenge, fun game. I think it pays to be aggressive early, I like it, and I also like how the enemies give you a chance to come back. Well done!

I like how you used the theme. Simple but nice game!
