Seen a few of these in this jam, weirdly the same concept but done with vastly different styles. They've been fun to try, I found yours the hardest but it might be because I've been rating game jam games all day and it's getting a bit late lol

Keep up the good work ✧*。(∩^o^)⊃━☆°.*

This game is very similar to one other entry called Recursoban (https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-197-recursion/rate/4026549), which is in some way easier to understand because you actually can see the call stack be executed in real time as you are going back through the stack.

It is thanks to me having played recursoban that I actually have a better understanding and feeling for how to solve your puzzles.

But you also have some additional complexity and challenges because you have diagonal angles, barricades and shields.

The puzzles themselves are well thought out, but also very hard. I think you need a few easier levels to get people started early on and gradually ramp up the difficulty :-)

But don't let that discourage you! I think that making puzzle games is not easy and coming up with logical puzzles in only 3 days is absolutely amazing. Good job!

Great concept and implementation! I like the idea and instructions and logical nature, the different challenges are interesting and I appreciate the ability to try different levels. I feel maybe it needs a reward to give a reason to solve the levels, or something to hook me in. Maybe unlocking functions which give the operator more options like multiple shots patterns, maybe credits to unlock what you want or improve the drone, maybe promotions to allow you to operate in tougher/different areas. Sounds would help the theme for sure, and I like your idea of a hint system. Overall, well done!

great game! its so refreshing to play something that requires a brain once in a while :P. i used to play these kind of games during computer class in middle school :)

I like the concept, but you know... it takes a really big brain to play this, and I don't have one

I had planned a hint system that removed instructions that you didn’t need to use. Honestly I should’ve removed a few “fakeout” instructions in the last 3 levels. Adding those was not the right approach to make the levels more difficult. Just clutters your ability to plan something out.

EDIT 2025-11-18: I added a toggle to the game that removes unneeded instructions

Very interesting concept!

The game really makes the most out of the 3 days it was given, shame there wasn't any sound but the gameplay and puzzle design definitely make up for it.
