Use of the limitation
Thought a lot about ways to make a functional space ship controller with only a mouse - I hope everyone has a scroll wheel!
Cookies eaten
No cookies. I did finish off a pack of choc-buttons (usually added to cakes), had 2 ice creams, and LOTS of coffee!! :)

Congrats on your first game jam and first game! This'd be good to expand on after the game jam is over, it's a good start to a cool little space game for sure (❐_❐✧)
Thank you very much for the kind words! <3
Cool game! Even if it’s not finished, it was a great idea to submit it.
Otherwise, some words on the gameplay, the cursor seems a bit off from where I'm shooting. You need to prioritize what’s important — do we really need a main menu?
When you have teammates, sure, but when you’re working solo, it’s better to focus only on the gameplay.
Don’t forget you’re targeting players who try out jam games; you can even explain the controls in the description.
Try to get a full gameplay loop working first!
The immersive experience is a success, it would have been a really good game if it was finished for sure.
Thank you very much for the review! You're right , that is great advice - thank you!!
I think this was cool, even though you couldn't finish it the way you wanted it (scope creep is always your worst enemy in a gamejam haha)
The game runs smooth and has a nice coherent aesthetic and visual design.
I REALLY like the targetting system, once I figured it out. It was nice to be able to very easily switch between targeting the thing close to my mouse or the thing closest to my ship (in 3D space) which made a lot of sense to me to map to scroll mouse.
I think from a restrictions perspective you made excellent decisions for the controls.
If this really is your first game jam -> WOW well done!
Thank you very much for the review and testing the game. It really means a lot to me!
Yes, it was my first jam. I have been coding "games" for many years, in different languages, but never finishing, rarely sharing, always adding more features and getting distracted, then eventually abandoning them - you are 100% right about scope creep, haha!
That will be a big focus of my next one. I think I've learnt a lot look at other games in this jam, and seeing what is possible and what good games look like.
Eg. I'm glad I know now about testing the web build locally in Godot, so it will be easier next time! 😂
You've made my day, THANK YOU!
The game concept is amazing!
Imo, it would be nice if the game were more focused on flying and avoiding obstacles rather than shooting targets. It was really hard to hit enemies but I was so satisfied when I flew through a tunnel in a space station!
Thank you very much for testing the game and the message! That is a great idea, you're right - it would be cool to focus on flying and avoiding obstacles, eg. pilot training before advancing to combat training. And even perhaps racing/delivery missions etc.
Awesome idea, THANK YOU!!
Sad that you weren't able to finish the game, but the space ships and planets were really well done!
Thank you for very much for playing the game! Yes, but it was a great learning experience, and great to see all the other games being made, very inspiring. I will finish it off and do better next time! :D
VERY nice concept, although the missions weren’t finished in time I think the idea /gameplay is REALLY GOOD. The training itself is fun (although, DAMN, it is difficult to hit the enemies)
Made me want to make my own spaceship game.
Also, nostalgia hit hard, I instantly got Starfox 64 vibes!
Thank you very much for the kind words and for playing the game!
Yeah, it is pretty hard, they are slippery, good at getting behind you, your guns are wide and have no convergence and the "crosshair" is misleading ;)
An actual lead indicator would help a lot, it is probably required.
I think the trick is to watch how the enemies are moving/facing, and track your shots and try to lead them.
